First time I used Delta because they acquired a firm I used to work with. Low quality tax work and return(s) resulted in penalties and late fees with government. Then, I'm charged extra fees by Delta to correct those mistakes... I've used other firms prior to Delta, and received better quality and prompt service.

My tax accountant at Delta Wealth Advisors was John Henn. He and his staff were competent with tax law and doing my taxes. But they had a poorly functioning communication system. Right at the start of tax season, they moved their offices and implemented Box for secure document exchange. This went very poorly. When I created a Box account for me and my wife, only her account could see all of the folders and documents. It wasn't obvious that this was the case, so when they sent me documents via Box, I could not see them and access them. They implemented a cheap version of Box that was clunky to use and kept pestering me to pay for an upgrade. (I have used Box for years at work without problems.) When I called to fix the issues, they didn't know how. It was frustrating, and when I voiced my frustration with Box, the staff took my complaints personally and got upset. Theirs is a digital business, and they were digitally naive. They should have implemented Box in the summer, when things are slow. And I didn't appreciate being chewed out by my tax accountant for complaining about Box. We have mutually agreed to part ways. I would not recommend them until they can demonstrate competence with digital communications.
