Dave is very personable and an honest guy. Does good work. Doesn’t nickel and dime you. Tells you what needs to be fixed now and what can be fixed later. He explains everything to you and takes the time to answer questions. As a woman I don’t feel intimidated or taken advantage of here either. I usually dislike car appointments because, well, it’s the mechanic and I don’t know much. Dave’s i don’t mind coming if I have to because I’m not being taken advantage of. Will be my forever mechanic for as long as I’m in Indy.

Had some big miscommunication from a lady upfront and myself, and I jumped to conclusions and got angry for obviously no reason. But I tell you what I’ve been around the car industry and Towing and other stuff in the city for over 20 years and I’ve only ever heard positive things about Dave and his shop. After the miscommunication was figured out, he called me while he was off of work and explained everything to me thoroughly. He did not have to do that. That just goes to show. What kind of guy Dave really is I wish nothing but the best to Dave and everyone at that shop, and I will use him in the future for any and All repairs on any of my vehicles. Just a sidenote, this guy has the absolute best mechanic prices for foreign and domestic vehicles in the city hands-down no questions asked. Thanks again Dave and your group.

After having some transmission skipping issues for months on my 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser, I spent all day searching shop reviews and came across Daves shop and set up an appointment. I cannot express enough how great working with this shop is. Theres seemingly not much their team can't do. Dave did a COMPLETE inspection of my car and told me the things in great shape, things in okay shape and things to keep an eye on for future repairs down the road with detailed high def photos and graphs of longevity. My car drives like a dream again and has had zero issues since. Finally getting around to writing this review but ya'll for the price and quality of service, this place is UNMATCHED!
TLDR; Don't waste your time at other shops, this place is the one!

Stranded an hour before the shop closing in pouring rain, 800 miles from home. This shop went out of their way to try and get us back on the road that evening, staying after closing trying to solve the issue. Although unsuccessful Dave said come back in the morning as they had to contact dealership. Returned at 8 first one did not have the part, 2nd call located the part which was 40 minutes away. He sent one of his guys, Returned and had the part installed in record time, and we were good to go. Every single person was off the charts kind and helpful. If I lived closer this would be my go to shop. Cannot say enough positive about this shop.

If you are looking for a trustworthy and reliable mechanic, Dave’s is the place to go. Not only do they prioritize quality and price, but their work reflects that as well. They are honest about their prices and don’t try scamming unaware clients. Dave’s is a family owned business that out performs any franchise I have ever been to. I just would like to say thank you Dave so very much you have an amazing team. This is just mind blowing to have a great mechanic team that’s the customers can trust. You have done a fantastic job with my son’s Volkswagen my daughter's Chevy and now my Ford. The guarantee and warranty is unbelievable I can’t thank you enough for the quality and dedication your team has brought to my family and friends. Davis mechanic shop has been a worry and stress free experience for me I will definitely recommend any car repair or concerns to my family friends and anyone else I meet. Thank you so much Dave’s mechanic team. The whole team is amazing I was able to meet the mechanics Ed that is working on my daughter’s car very knowledgeable great guy. Jen is super knowledgeable and amazing she was able to get me scheduled right away. Dave has reached out personally to reassure any concerns and was able to explain mechanic issues to my understanding. I felt a relief with knowing that me and my family are safe on the road. These people are the best I took my Chevy Cruze in for transmission problems and they fixed it in record time they keep you informed they are very professional and responsive and respectful you can't find these qualities in business anymore

Ravens so friendly and excellent at dealing with people. Very knowledgeable and I’m glad I found him. This is the first mechanic shop I have paid in over 15 years and I am bringing all my other vehicles to be inspected asap. Thanks Dave!

Dave and his crew were incredible. They were honest, quick, accurate and very diligent about giving us the best care. They had a quote to us within minutes!! They also got some major repairs in on the same day. We are from Bloomington and will absolutely be return customers of Dave’s.
