My wife and I get our prescriptions and some other drug store goodies at CVS, W 86th & Ditch Rd. The people there are always on the ball, professional and personable. We are glad it's so close to home.

They DO NOT ANSWER THE PHONE! I don't know if they are just blissfully unaware that there are questions their automated answering service and their app cannot answer, which would take only moments of a human's time, but renders them nearly useless.

I usually get great service but earlier today was a completely different story. I had a tonsillectomy and stopped by CVS to pick up my scripts. Once I got back to the car I realized the lidocaine mouthwash was missing. It’s used to numb painful sores and reduce swelling in the mouth and throat.I thought my surgeon hadn’t called that prescription in. So I called left a voicemail for his staff. I pulled around to the drive thru just to ask if CVS would make a call to the prescribing MD. The tech stated “oh i didn’t fill it because it’s not covered by your insurance” like excuse!!!! How dare she make a health and financial decision on my behalf?? Most times when something isn’t covered by insurance, I’m notified and allowed to make a decision for my life on my own. I told the tech to fill the prescription, I need it. It’s not going to be ready until tomorrow because it’s a compound medicine. Here I am, in pain… swollen because a stranger made an assumption concerning another stranger’s finances… the absolute audacity!! The tech stated she called me but I didn’t answer… ummm I was in recovery in the hospital!!!! Also, the tech DID NOT LEAVE A VOICEMAIL, otherwise, I certainly would’ve returned the call. But even still when I arrived to pick up my medicine, why didn’t she mention it to me at that time??? Why did I have to go back around the drive through and question her??? Also, she didn’t ask if I had any questions about how to use the medication I did receive. I am livid regarding the service received today. Some people just shouldn’t be in a “helping” field. I do expect someone to contact me about this. You’re playing games with peoples health, recovery, this is serious to me.

Thank goodness for CVS minute clinic literally - 3 min to confirm what I knew- that I have an ear infection and less than 5 minute wait for my prescription! Well done! ??????

OUTRAGEOUS! Jan 15, 2024 - I have been on hold for the CVS pharmacy at 86 and Ditch, for over 45 mins. When I called the front desk, to determine if it was not open, was told that - by Corporate Guidance - they are not to answer phones during day time; and that if I want to actually speak to someone at the pharmacy I should call very early in the am or after 9:00 pm. What the heck?!?! CVS = shame on you!!!! And NO, I am not interested in having another App on my phone or further enrolling on-line so that I can get caught yet again, in the next data breach.

In person they are fine and usually no problems. But the pharmacy will not answer phone calls!!! I tried two different days and for two hours on hold no one answered. it is wrong. Horrible that you cannot get a hold of them. They are a 24 hour pharmacy so I even tried at 10 pm. Still no answer.

Wouldn't give a star if had the choice. Instead of asking for insurance I'm told that my insurance wouldn't cover the meds. I go back inside and ask if they billed correctly they said they didn't have any insurance on file. Then proceeded to tell me come back later for a refund because he was going on lunch. After telling him that it was ridiculous to have me come back later over their mistakes he argued with me about his lunch break. He finally did the refund but as usual I am disappointed with CVs. Will never come back.

When attempting to contact the store about Covid vaccines, the automated system just pushed me to hold and didn't pickup. Waited 15 minutes.

This pharmacy is a JOKE!! My mom is 72 and doesn’t drive, she’s supposed to be set up to have her Rx delivered but it seems like there is an issue every single time! And don’t even try to call to get help or ask questions, she was on hold for 10 minutes two days ago only to be disconnected after it passed 1:30 when they all went to lunch. Then today she was on hold for 45 minutes and sent to voice mail, again once it became 1:30 and they went to lunch. All she wanted was to ask about a vitamin interaction with her medicine! I am switching her pharmacy immediately and do not recommend anyone else using this location! DO BETTER, CVS! This is unacceptable!

I just had surgery yesterday, went to go get my script 3 times and they still had trouble filling it. Last night I went to fill it again and they said it would be ready in 10 minutes. We didn’t have 10 minutes, came back today and had to wait another 45 minutes for them to fill the same script. 0/10 do not recommend this location….

I’ve always had a great experience at this pharmacy and store. I saw some negative reviews, but I haven’t experienced those kind of issues. I’ve found the pharmacy staff to be professional and helpful. The MinuteClinic caregivers have been just that… Caregivers. (Although, the online scheduling system could be more user-friendly.) The employees that staff the retail part of the store have always been helpful. The store is clean and organized.

I have been on hold for the pharmacy for an hour and a half. That is RIDICULOUS! They don’t have to ever worry about me getting a prescription filled here anymore. Just unprofessional and trifling, it takes 5 seconds to answer the phone with 10 employees in there. They need better management

The cvs staff at this location are by far the nicest pharmacy staff across indianapolis. Great customer service, they work as a team very well and help you get to the bottom of confusion with patience and sincerity.
