The place was small and was only ran by one person so I can see why it took be 4 calls to get an appointment scheduled. I had a Groupon for a seaweed wrap and a 30 minutes Swedish massage. So the seaweed wrap was done with ace bandages that were soaking in a crockpot filled with warm water and mixture of some sort. Which to me is not sanitary, how many bodies has she wrapped with those things. And now my pores have just sucked all that it for 15 minutes. Then the Swedish massage, that was only my arms and legs. Now I did this manly for my back to be taken care of.. I hadn't had a massage in over 5 years and I feel like I got cheated. If she would have told me that this was only arms and legs I would have told her just to focus on my back. Major disappointment there. Then as I wait for my fiance, she continues to hound me for a tip. I had no cash or card on me which I told her that we don't carry cash. She continues to say "oh it doesn't have to be cash". that was just rude just to ask for a tip multiple times. She was only thinking about herself she didn't know my current situation on money. I am currently penny pinching to pay for my wedding. And my fiance bought this service for me so I could relax and feel better from the stress. But this trip went horrible from beginning to end. 1. Unsanitary 2. Massage wasn't relaxing nor did she even asked what I wanted focused on. 3. Massage therapist hounding me for a tip for a service I could have got at home for free and done right. Horrible experience. I pray no one goes there because this is a waste of money that many people don't have money to waste like that-

Not exactly a spa material. The establishment has unpleasant odor and the owner is equally unpleasant. Do not purchase Groupon from this salon! Thank you Groupon for refunding me.

I searched the web for places to get my hair and make up done for my wedding. I came across complexions spa. Any woman who has gotten married knows how important it is to feel pretty on your wedding day. Let me start out by saying they were very nice and tried to relax me. I wanted to cry when I left. I asked for eyelash extension not with the track. I got eyelashes with a track not only that but the track was a half of inch off of my natural eyelashes. I seen that but thought to myself maybe there was a trick she planned for them. Not at all. I was told u cant look until I'm done. At this point I'm kinda panicked because I'm getting married in less then 45 min. When she was done I looked in the mirror and felt like bride of Frankenstein no joke. See I could have done my own lashes and makeup because I've done them many of times. As it being my wedding day my husband wanted me to have someone do it for me so I could relax. I ended up paying 180.00 for hair and makeup (quoted price 150.00) but was sorta forced to leave a 20% gratuity. Which I'm all for tipping and probably would have tipped more if I was happy. I had no time to tell her I hated my makeup because I had 15 min to be at my own wedding. Thank god for my brides maids for helping me with my makeup situation. Should have just did my own lashes and makeup. I was devastated and felt embarrassed walking in to the place where I'm getting married and everyone is waiting for me to be all glammed up and looked not so great. So my wedding didn't start for another 30 min because my bridesmaids had to correct my makeup. I will never be back there. I feel like I got taken advantage of for sure. Maybe a great place for a massage but not make up.

I purchased a Groupon for a body wrap and 30 minute Swedish massage. It took 3 days for my appointment to even get scheduled because I left 2 messages and emailed the salon before anyone got back to me. The body wrap was first. She had me lay down and wrapped my legs and arms, then asked me to stand up to wrap my midsection. Anyone who's gotten a wrap before know you can barely move your limbs, let alone stand up and lay back down easily! Once the wrap was on, it was nice to relax and I enjoyed it. The "massage" was next. I laid on my back as instructed. She basically oiled my arms and legs, then used this plastic roly thing that is supposed to help with circulation. I had a Swedish massage in September, and this was not similar AT ALL. At the end of it all, she said to me "next time, make sure you call and book directly through us. That way, as a small business owner, I don't have to give commission to Groupon."

Love Trinia, she is so easy to work with. I am a pretty large plus sized girl and have never been made to feel less about who I am. Wonderful experience - had bought the groupon and will be using my 3rd Brazilian today and will be booking all of my future waxings here with Trinia - fantastic lady, laid back and very welcoming. I am a NY girl and have been to some of the finest salons here in the states as well as abroad and this place holds its own to all of them.!!!

I bought a groupon for waxing services. It was a package of three. The services were not great. She definitely doesn't make a plus-size woman feel comfortable in their own skin, that's for sure. I've received waxing services at two other locations in the city, and never heard about poor skin tone or hard to reach places before, I'm not THAT overweight, for gods' sake. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone or purchase them in the future. On the second service appointment, I also got a haircut. It was a Monday, so they were half off. It was still $35 and it was a $5 haircut at best. That service technician liked to point out my fine (to her, this means THIN) hair. It seems like the whole salon takes classes in how to subtly insult people. No wonder they had to move from the large location on Mass Ave to this cramped shop.

They are wonderful! I deal with Trinia for waxing and she is an absolute doll! It was my first time ever getting a bikini wax and I was really nervous and she made me feel very comfortable with the whole process. Won't go to another girl ever!

Do not purchase Groupon from this salon! We purchased in February and tried calling and leaving voicemails to schedule services. We never had anyone answer the phone or return our calls. Thank goodness Groupon refunded our money.

I am a frequent spa-goer. I've had many spa treatments, both in Indianapolis and outside of Indy. I'm fairly low maintence, but at this point I know a good treatment vs a bad one. Complexions was one of the worst treatments I've had anywhere. First off, the location is tiny, cramped and dingy. It is neither soothing or serene, as you would expect from a spa. This happens sometimes in city-based spas, so I didn't immediately think anything about it. One thing to note is that the space is so small you can hear EVERYTHING. People in the other rooms getting treatments, people getting their hair done and even the toilet in the bathroom flushing. I had to ask for a bolster for under my knees and it took a full 5 minutes to find it which is insane because there's only 2.5 rooms in the whole place. Because of the dingy-ness, I couldn't help but consider the overall cleanliness. I selected the vitamin C facial. The service was both not what is advertised on their website and was hurried and rough on my skin. It was a 4 step facial. The products seemed ok, but the advertised extractions didn't happen and the exfoliation was so rough I felt like my face was burning at points. I noted on my intake sheet that I had sensitive skin but I don't think the esthetician even read it. Washcloths rather than clean cotton were used, which I've noticed at similar price points at other spas. The vast majority of the time was taken up with the steam, which isn't atypical, but instead of doing the massage at that point, the esthetician just sat there. After a pointless knead of my shoulders, I was shocked when we were finished and honestly noted no difference on my skin. Usually I can see a glow or a clear change in any breakouts or breakout prone areas - that was not the case here. I'm convinced that I could have easily performed this process at home and could have saved myself the $98. Service was also poor. I also don't mind a little bit of talking from a service provider and I'm pretty friendly myself, but I felt like I was getting an inquisition about spa services and who I knew and who I didn't know. It was not relaxing at all. When I arrived I wasn't offered water or anything which is pretty customary at this point for almost any spa. When I sat down in the waiting area, a cold cup of half-consumed coffee was sitting next to me. No one came at any point to pick it up or whatever. Super gross. I love supporting local businesses. I greatly appreciate a good service provider. I am sad to say that this iterations of Complexions (I frequented them often when at the Mass Ave Location) is a travesty and I will never be going back.

Can't call and speek to an actual person. Must leave a message and wait (and wait) for a call back. They need a receptionist who focuses on answering the phone and setting appointments.
