Blacksmith Fitness’s owner ensures pushing clientele to live a better lifestyle by holding them accountable for life choices, fitness and most importantly our eating habits. Greatness is achieved each time a client walks through the door and decides to push themselves to the highest possible level. Something the owner has taught me personally that I remind myself of each day; Growth requires uncomfortable moments. If you are not at least a little bit uncomfortable each day then you are choosing to not grow at a steady rate. This is my progression in 1 month with the owner of this business as my personal trainer, accountability partner and true friend.

Fitness is like anything else in life, you will get out of it whatever you put into it. If you want to be successful, it matters with whom you involve yourself. The owner and trainers at Blacksmith Fitness are honest, supportive, flexible and hold you accountable. At least, that has been my experience over the past year. I see some of the reviews discussing financials and indicating that the owner is money hungry. That has not been my experience at all. I have discussed diff payment options with the owner that were appropriate for everyone involved and he was honest and accommodating to the best of his ability as a business owner. It required transparency on my part and, from my experience, this is all the owner expects from his clients. I have felt welcomed and supported in the gym by everyone I’ve encountered so far and have even been supported personally, outside of when I’m in the gym, by the community that is very vibrant within that space. I am a believer of not making a decision about something until you’ve personally encountered the business/person/experience, etc. Every story has multiple sides to it. So, I would take some of the negative reviews w/a grain of salt. I will be a client at this place for as long as they are available!

Title: A Disastrous Experience at Blacksmith Fitness I recently had the misfortune of joining Blacksmith Fitness, and I can confidently say that it was one of the worst decisions I have ever made. From the moment I stepped foot into the gym, I was greeted by an overwhelming stench of sweat and mold, making it clear that cleanliness is not a priority here. The equipment at Blacksmith Fitness is not only outdated but also in terrible condition. Most of the machines are *****, squeaky, and some even seem like they might collapse under your weight. I was genuinely concerned for my safety while trying to use their dilapidated treadmills and weights. It felt like I had entered a time warp back to the ****s, and not in a nostalgic way.The staff, if you can call them that, were completely unhelpful and disinterested in assisting members. When I asked for guidance on using a particular machine, I was met with blank stares and shrugged shoulders. It was as if they had no training or knowledge about fitness whatsoever. I also noticed that the trainers, who were supposed to be experts, spent more time chatting amongst themselves than helping clients.Hygiene is clearly not a priority at Blacksmith Fitness. The restrooms were filthy and lacked basic supplies like soap and toilet paper. I felt like I needed a hazmat suit just to use the facilities. I dread to think about the potential health hazards lurking in this gym.To make matters worse, the membership fees at Blacksmith Fitness are exorbitant considering the appalling. In conclusion, I strongly advise anyone considering joining Blacksmith Fitness to think twice. Save your money and your sanity by finding a gym that values its members, invests in modern equipment, and maintains basic hygiene standards. Blacksmith Fitness is a disaster waiting to happen, and I wouldnt wish this experience on my worst enemy.

Remarkable all around the one-on-one training I have received from the owner, Mr Anthony Smith, is phenomenal. He has incredible energy, knowledge of fitness, nutrition, the why behind it all and the no BS attitude that pushes me to bring my best-- Every. Single. Time. The progress I have made; is not only my body transformation, but also my mind + how to truly manifest my personal goals! The results are amazing.... And ALL this in less than a year!! Can't wait to see what my next phase will look like! #letsgoooooo #besttrainerever

The red flags Javier point at were a major part in my decision to stop going to blacksmith fitnessIf you don't mind coming into all of the bars having weights still on them, no sprays to wipe down anything for long periods then this is the place for you!Join a gym with better cleaning standards for $10, trust me your immune system and anxiety will thank you.Tons of cluttered equipment it's a disorganized mess. I wanted to give it the benefit of the doubt, but the owner just like Javier said himself puts money over his customers. It didn't help that one day I saw the pile of papers laying on an open table stating that their memberships were $25 monthly whilst I was paying $40, I brushed it off saying it was worth the cost. But now after searching through yelp I've found two top of the line gyms for only $10 more. The reasoning of my one-star review isn't just because of the multiple red flags above but for an interaction that happened today.I called to let the owner know I would be canceling my membership and he stated that there was a 30-day notice requirement, now we are in the middle of a pandemic. You would think in this case he would want to retain a good business image by making some sort of compromise(I was prepared to pay at least half) but he was adamant about his decision. He said I would need to send an email stating that I wanted to cancel my membership so I cut in to ask if he could send me a copy of my contract as it has to be on file right? He hesitated and then restated that he needed a 30-day notice, I was like ok so send me a copy of my contract. He said her would and its been ages since then with no email. I've already taken the drastic measures needed to ensure I would not have to play a game of tag with this guy like Javier to secure my money. And dear owner, maybe instead of buying a new water dispenser or restocking your energy drink fridge buy the proper disinfectant sprays and wash the rags so we don't get Covid or end up with reactions to other peoples sweat. And look at the theme of the 1 star reviews people, trust when I say this is a red flag of a gym.And Anthony if try to respond saying "We see that you haven't sent an email stating your 30 day notice" please know I'm waiting on the email of my contract so don't try me.EDIT: Contract says a 20 day notice, and Anthony there is no hand sanitizer, there's been times where one of the bathrooms was without soap. Also why are you trying to act like using bleach spray is something that is normal for cleaning equipment. Anti-bacterial sprays are what need to be in use.To add, why have you not responded to not refunding Javier?I did not sign a personal training contract, please stop lying...

Update: The owner called me from an unknown phone number during the middle of night. Luckily I did not answer, after confirming that it was him through text message he said he was calling to see if I got the contract when we already had a conversation through email about it 10 hours earlier. Please be wary of doing business with him.

Everything about the gym is very nice and so is the 24 hours open but the owner won’t care about the customers, we agreed to a refund and never got it... he will just simply choose money over his customers. I’m sure over time if he keep doing the same this place is gonna go downhill very quickly. This is my second time review and the owner charged me for two month after saying My membership was canceled.

I haven't gone to this gym in two months and the owner is still taking money from my bank account. I tried contacting him when he did it the first time and said he would give me a refund the next day. When the next day came he never answered, and today I got charged again. Honestly you can find a better gym to go to this guy will always find reasons to charge you and will put money over his customers.

My gym was overcrowded and I decided to give a smaller guy a try. I'm glad I did. They had all the modern equipment I needed and had knowledgeable staff as well. Was very clean. Was able to get in and get a good workout in without the hassle.

Small privately own gym with personal training available. I wouldn’t recommend this place for anyone due to the owner being very unprofessional, self absorbed and arrogant. No matter if you’re just applying for a monthly membership, or personal training with him/another trainer. He will still make your experience with Blacksmith Fitness unpleasant. He has no professional mannerism and significantly slacks communication skills. Would highly recommend you looking to take you fitness life elsewhere.
