1st, they don't have the vehicle I reserved, and they charged me more than the quoted price. Then the vehicle was very damaged and not cleaned. It's been 2 business weeks, and I still have not received my security deposit. Every phone I call is either busy or they say the lines are down no matter the time or day I call.

I frequently rent from this Avis location and have been quite disappointed majority of the time. Twice now I have returned cars and have been told I haven’t, I have tried to contact the phone number for their direct line and it immediately hangs up saying “user busy”. I’ve also been charged gas surcharges when I have returned the car full. I’m quite tired of wasting my time calling Avis to correct all these issues.

I left an item in the rental car.They have there phone off the hook everyday. The worst way to try to get in touch with a customer representative if you need assistance. We'll my money isn't good here anymore I spent a lot of money using this retal company hello enterprise ill give you a try.

The location is really nice. It's easy if you're flying into the airport. The lines weren't that bad when we were there. Easy to get in and out.

Oh, my God. This is the worst run car rental I’ve ever had the misfortune of enduring. The wait in line was, no exaggeration, an hour and a half. Never again. Run. Trust me, it’s faster than renting anything from these people.

At 9:30am on 9/26/23 I finally arrived to the airport after driving in traffic for a hour and waiting for a shuttle for 25 mins just to get to the Avis desk and told I can’t get a rental my boss reserved for me to pick up. She said she can see my name and drivers licenses information but because the reservation name was my boss name he has to come get it she assured there was no other way for me to leave with the rental. So my boss had to drive 45 mins out to get the rental all for the same woman to lie and tell him “I was dealing with some man at the time and he didn’t want to do extra work” she then asked my boss “Was she some BLACK GIRL with long hair oh yeah we could have just changed the name on the reservation and she could have left with the rental” SO SHE LIED TO PUT THE BLAME ON SOMEONE ELSE SO SHE CAN SEEM LIKE SHE WASN’T IN THE WRONG … WAISTING PEOPLES TIME AND TESTING THEIR PATIENCE SHOULD NOT BE TOLERATED …. FIRE HER I WONT LET THIS GO UNHEARD

This was the single worst car rental experience I have ever endured. Had a pre-paid reservation for 1030pm. Arrived a little early to find a line 30 people long. Waited 1.5 hours to be told they had no more cars. Stuck! No options. They don’t honor their reservations, they sell first come first serve, even to those without a reservation. Wish I didn’t have to give 1-star!

The website tried to rip me off by 3x what I agreed to pay right up to the moment I tried to hit confirm.The customer service rep over the phone did not do as promised when I called immediately after booking.The desk agent had no power to fix the problem.The second customer service rep I spoke to tried to charge me a late pick up fee because I had to wait an hour and a half in line and then had to call about my rates not being fixed to the original price.Would not rent from Avis again.

I am somewhat dissatisfied with my rental service on this trip. I want to commend every associate that helped me along the way, however, it seems the systems and low staffing in place have caused unnecessary errors and inconvenience. Firstly, I waited over an hour to pick up my vehicle despite my plane landing a little bit later. Secondly, I noticed on the first day of my rental that the license plate sticker was two months expired. I called the location twice the next day to rectify this, and could not get through on the phone, so I drove back to the airport to rectify the situation. This took up most of an afternoon of my trip. I commend the folks that helped me make the exchange, but the computer system and outdated printer made it very difficult for everyone. On the last day of my trip, I received an erroneous text message that my car was three days late, which was not the case, and added undue stress to my trip. I spoke with a manager at the location who assured me it was taken care of. Running close to my flight, I accepted the paperwork and rushed on. Two days later I received an additional charge of over $170 extra. I gave it a couple of days to see if it would be corrected, and it was not. I called and an incorrect $45 late charge (~$58 with tax) had not been corrected, and I was able to get it corrected over the phone. The other charges were explained to me as additional coverages I agreed to, but why they were not charged at the beginning was not clear to me regardless of the explanation. That still leaves an extra $115+ charge that I was not expecting.This trip was for bereavement purposes, and while I did my best to address the situation as it evolved, this has been a great added hassle, it affected how long I spent visiting the cemetery, it affected my stress level and timing getting to the airport to return, and it's made me unlikely to go with Avis the next time I need to rent a vehicle. Again, every individual associate I worked with was great.

Absolutely the worst experience in car rental ever, Avis cancelled my reservation while I was waiting in line to pick up my car (2 hour long experience) and refused to honour the rate. Pick another renal shop, this is the worst

Worst rental car experience ever and my first 1-star review ever... I've been Avis Preferred for over 15 years and have rented from them hundreds of times; however on a recent business trip, my plane arrived several hours late and after midnight. Although the counter was open, they had run out of cars! The agent was downright smug and condescending saying to take an Uber and come back tomorrow. I said that my destination is an hour away, yet he didn't care. So long story short, I got a car the next morning (after having to spring for a hotel) and the lot had plenty of cars - sadly the one I got was a "beater".... A base-model Chevy that has not been cleaned inside or out. The carpet was filthy and had dried mud, there was trash in the cup holder, the steering wheel was sticky, and the car smelled like pee. Not only was I screwed the night before but got a substandard vehicle the next day. Avis IND - you should be ashamed.
