Amazing customer service!! The doctor was very understanding and supportive. We had to take our guinea pig in after hours as an emergency, the process was very easy. They even followed up the next day to check on her.

One of the best experiences I’ve had with any veterinarian. They helped out our rabbit and everything was super simple. Everyone we interacted with was kind and friendly. I’ll include a bonus picture of the patient.

Brought my leopard gecko in to have a prolapsed hemipenes fixed, they were quick, friendly, and the price i paid for them to help my baby was very reasonable. Thank you all so much for taking care of him. It means the world to me!

I have a brought two animals to this clinic under emergency circumstances over the past couple years. After being seen and told that they would both make a full recovery, both animals died within several days of being seen. I would not trust this clinic in emergency circumstances. I did have another animal seen for a minor issue that resolved without problem.

Dr Gilbert took great care of my Rosy Boa. Gave him a checkup, recommended feeding and habitat changes to improve his care. Friendly and professional.

Been going here for years. I am an anxious pet owner and they have always been patient with me. I had some trouble getting an appt this summer cuz of miscommunication on both ends but eventually got in.Both vets in Indy recommended exploratory surgery for my bearded dragon and I spent a couple months thinking about it and trying to find info or similar cases. There is not much out there. I appreciated that Dr. Lennox took the time to answer my questions via email and cautioned me that they can find things in surgery that cannot be fixed and palliative care is an alternative. The reason I decided to do the surgery is because I wanted to make sure if it was an easy fix that it would not kill her unecessarily. It felt like a coin flip between "is this treatable or is the surgery going to ruin her life?"They called me to let me know when the surgery was starting and gave me updates.Ultimately it did not work out because she had cancer everywhere and I decided to euthanize rather than put her through surgery recovery when she had such pervasive tumors which would be her cause of death at some point. FYI, the tumors were not recognized via xray, ultrasound, or blood tests (hence the stress of deciding).I am sharing because when I was looking for someone with a similar experience I could not find one. Deciding to do the surgery was a difficult decision. I thought it was the right call for her but since she was behaving normally beforehand I have some regrets for doing the surgery. I imagine this is normal when an animal dies. If you are in the same boat I cannot decide for you, and i have no way of knowing whether or when she was going to get very sick from the cancer since she was already 7. But hopefully you feel less alone or reading this experience helps you.The team was sympathetic and apologized for my tough decision. When my beardie died they were supportive and the nurse told me how good of a dragon she was which made me feel good. See you next year when I bring my ball python back.

Do not trust your pets with these monsters. They murdered our skunk and have developed an absolutely disgusting reputation for giving animals too much anesthesia. After speaking with animal group associates here in Indiana, we discovered that they have “accidentally” done this to several other animals. Then, after they murder them, they make you carry the corpse of your baby through a lobby full of people watching you cry. They called my baby “the sweetest boy” and kept talking about how well behaved he was for them.He was behaving because he trusted you.He trusted the people taking care of him.You failed him.“Procedure went great! He’s recovering now.”He never woke up again. This is the last photo taken of my sweet Ozzy. They WILL MURDER YOUR BABY.Do NOT trust these people.

Avian and Exotic is a fantastic place to take your exotic pets. Dr. Lennox is the one who cared for my chinchilla, Ashure and she was very honest and informative on her condition. Even tho I had to make the difficult decision to let my go peacefully I appreciate the help from her and the entire staff.

I brought my bunny here late at night after spending hours trying to find someone to see her in or around the Louisville area with no luck. My usual vet was out of town. The vet who saw her here was nice and explained everything well. They sent us home with some medicine and critical care and my bunny felt better in just a couple of days.

We took our pet skunk to them to be neutered and they killed him. They tried to tell me it was a genetic thing that could not have been predicted, after talking to other people that have gone to this vet we have found out that they are known for overdosing pets with anesthesia. I regret ever trusting them with my baby, please do not make the same mistake that I did.

We took our ferret in for some problems to do with his urine. They were prompt, honest, and upfront about any pricing. They treated our animal with respect and returned him to us looking much better, and gave us any and all necessary information to make sure we were well educated and prepared for any future problems. They kept in communication with us dispite how absolutely busy they were.Highly recommend for an emergency!

Took my Leopard gecko Pharaoh here because he started having issues in both eyes. The vet and nurse were extremely kind, understanding, gentle, communicative, and funny! They did a dye test to determine the cause and prescribed the needed antibiotic eye ointment. I followed their instructions for treatment and 2 weeks later he was looking tremendously better!! The initial appointment was over a month ago, and he’s doing better than ever now :) His eating habits are great again and he’s much more active. It’s amazing to see him happy again. While I don’t WANT to have to take my reptiles to the vet(ideally they would stay perfect, healthy, and alive forever ), when/if I ever do again - I’m taking them here. Immense thank you from both Pharaoh and I
