Interested in supporting local artists, giving back, and purchase beautiful art? Art mix is the perfect place for this! I went for the second year to their holiday open house to do my yearly ornament shopping for family and friends. There are beautiful, one-of-a-kind ornaments, plates, bowls, and other ceramic pieces. All of the pieces are carefully made by the artists, fired on-site, and then made available in their gallery. I have been thrilled by the items I've purchased and the recipients love them!

Art Mix had an opening in their 2D class and we were happy to join! Our teacher, Ms. Bella, took the time to figure out what kind of work Leif would like. Using big movements and unique tools he found his jam! Appreciate her perseverance to find a way to connect Leif to making art. What a joy!

I truly enjoyed volunteering at the Art Mix these past few weeks. I loved helping the instructors and students in their classes. I learned so much about art. I love how they let students use their creativity to express themselves through art. I love this place, I’ll definitely be back to volunteer again sometime soon!

I love being a volunteer at ArtMix. The Teaching Artists and the youth who participate are interesting and creative. We all assist each other in ceramic production. I get back personal satistaction when I've assisted artists who are learning vocational and social skills as they build their creative abilities. First Fridays are where we can all see the results in the Gallery. People purchase art and the money earned goes back into the budget. People also make donations. Art supplies are not in-expensive. I hope to see you at a First Friday. You,family and friends can participate in a studio experience and usually complete an art work to take home. The studio is open from 7 - 8:30 PM.
