They were great from coming out in person to assess our needs, to conveying over the phone and email details and follow-up. We had our things packed by them in addition to moving. The only thing that doesn’t make it a 5 is the packing part using excess of paper so some small things like shade holders and light bulbs packed separate and are really easy to about Miss. So many things that have one room in it then have things from another room added so when trying to find particular things it’s not marked as an add on of kitchen pieces to a box marked living room. All things made it though and only had 2 things broken.

I could not be happier with my move with Allied Van Lines. The communication with the team leading up to my move was wonderful. And the entire crew of movers (driver and teams at both origin and destination) were AMAZING! They were polite, efficient, and took impeccable care of my belongings. I hope it’s a long time before I move again but I would absolutely use this company again!

Most problems were with the driver. My load went great except for one incident where one of the movers damaged my wall trying to get sectional out. The driver was able to do this no problem. The delivery was a day late, ok. But the driver was 8 hours late. His helper arrived just before 10am. The driver arrived past 4pm. The driver pulled away the house nearly midnight.Driver was rushed and I have a lot of broken furniture, he was at times unprofessional and uncooperative.

The overall experience exceeded our expectations for our 1st cross country move from Indiana to Colorado. Everyone that we dealt with was timely, considerate, and polite. Our driver, B, was responsive and managed everything in a professional and efficient manner. He coordinated the pickup and delivery to meet our schedule. Everything except a few minor pieces (that we packed) made it to our destination without incident. We were very pleased with the local loading and unloading crews that Allied hired. They were all friendly, thoughtful, quick, and extremely hard working. We also appreciated the initial in-person meeting at our home from a Coleman Moving Company representative who was thorough and answered all of our questions. Furthermore, our Move Coordinator contacted us on several occasions throughout the process to keep us updated and her follow up was timely. We would recommend Allied Van Lines/Coleman Moving.

Our driver was absolutely the most disrespectful person who I've ever worked with. They're kinder employees will be with you upfront to sell you, but then the day of our move they send 2 people to pack our full service move for a family of 5 with 2 people working from home. They ignored packing instructions, and we later found out one of the people didn't understand us but was pretending to. Fast forward to the movers. We were promised a move coordinator who never showed. Instead we got a fast tempered driver who was supposedly in charge. He snapped at me just for asking questions, refused to answer questions about our move and then told my spouse a specific answer and lied saying he'd answered me. The entire time there was a marked difference between how this employee treated me vs my husband. When I asked him questions, he told me I was not his boss. When the movers placed things in random locations ignoring my husbands instructions, he told us, he wouldn't "do things twice." It was obvious he has a time frame he was pushing for and he got madder and ruder the longer he was there. He was angry with his movers when I offered them drinks. Towards the end when I reminded them about furniture that needed put back together, the driver again told me I was "not his boss" and I "needed to work with my husband on this." The furniture did not get built even though we paid to have this done. What's maybe the worst is that I told this person we were moving near family because my parents died. All the other movers were incredibly kind and even went back and forth with me talking in English and Spanish. The packers on the front end and definitely the driver made this move a nightmare.

The Allied office personnel were wonderful, but the packers and shippers they contracted were terrible. There is minor damage to a large number of things. Also, they were in such a rush to pack everything, it was done haphazardly. For example, they did not tape the screws for an item. So, I have to figure out where to obtain the correct screws. Boobokar the main person in charge was disorganized and consistently did not allot the amount of time needed. Terrible service. They did not wrap a fine wood dining table in protective cloth and used dirty hands that left streaks all over it. For the amount of money I paid for this cross country move,, I expected professional service.

Recently moved from Pittsboro, IN. to New Bern, NC. Most of my boxes came damaged. Fortunately, only one glass was broken. However, I was missing four baskets from a metal cart (which I received). Several (10) tagged item numbers were missing and some items arrived without tags. Hard to say what I'm actually missing. From memory, I turned in $130 in missing or damaged items. They refused my entire claim. Overall, the people at Allied were unprofessional, unethical, uncaring and downright rude. Had the dollar amount been substantial, I would have undoubtedly sued them to the fullest extent possible.

Terrible company. The owner never pays his help. It's been several years now and haven't got payed. He still owes his own nephew money for working with him.

This may have been the worst delivery experience that I have ever had. I ordered a mattress and this company was outsourced by the mattress company to do a "white glove" delivery and mattress removal. The driver showed up, I told them upstairs was where I wanted the new mattresses, he and his partner unloaded the mattresses from the truck and then proceeded to walk into my house with muddy dirty shoes (my upstairs has light colored carpet) . I asked if they could put on shoe covers and the driver told me no. My husband let him know that we do not wear shoes through our house and would prefer that they did not either. The driver indicated that OSHA does not let them wear shoe covers (oddly, while speaking to a customer service agent on the phone she told me it was because the mattress company does not allow them to wear shoe covers). Clearly someone was being dishonest. My husband had already placed the box springs in our entry area so those were taken away, but they left the new mattresses in the entry area and when my husband asked if they could wait while we moved the old king mattress down to the entry area, they walked away and would not provide their names. My husband called both the local company and corporate and was hung up on and transferred repeatedly with no resolution. I currently have a mattress in my family room and the mattress company is working to find a new mover, as they too found this to be unacceptable.

Local rep visited and gave me an accurate estimate of costs, and checked in periodically. The moving coordinator was available by phone and checked in frequently during the moving window. The driver and his crew were polite, knowledgeable and efficient. My only complaint was that I was given an 8 day delivery window, and it wasn't until the truck was loaded that they could narrow that down. That's an enormous amount of time to sit in a completely empty space several states away, or to not be able to tell a new employer when you'll be showing up.

The moving was booked through Allied representatives. The movers were a third party hired by the second party, Coleman Worldwide. Dealing with Coleman was fine, the representatives were very nice and personable. The third party movers were nice but were 3 hours late and didn’t let us know they were going to be due to mechanical difficulties. When they arrived they couldn’t get the 18 wheeler in the neighborhood so needed to get a truck from UHaul which took another three hours. Then the movers, there were only two, tried to say they would only pack and not load because it was already 4pm and they didn’t bring enough boxes/supplies so they both left to get more. This wasn’t acceptable as we were leaving for the new house that day. We paid for full service and we ended up helping them pack and unload as they didn’t have enough help. We did have a few broken items, our bed wasn’t put together correctly and damaged, and our white dining chairs were not wrapped or protected as there was a spill stain and black smudges/fingerprints on them. This was a terribly stressful move.

Almost everyone that I worked with was Awesome! First up was Alex K, he walked us through each step and kept answering all our questions! He did not mind all of our changes.Next would be the driver from Indiana to North Carolina “Louie”! He brought a bunch of guys all very nice, hardworking and funny. Louie is the Best! He made moving day easy for all of us!

The estimate for my move showed 12,000 lbs and they showed up with a truck capable of handling 10,000 lbs. Their communication has been poor and we still do not know when the rest of our stuff is coming.
