My experience with Alamo Indianapolis was very positive. I had issues with the car and when I returned it Andrew J, manager, went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of and happy. I will certainly use Alamo Indianapolis again thanks to Andrew!!

Fantastic experience! Booked my rental car online on Alamo website. Picked the car straight from the parking lot, hassle free! The standard size SUV was is good condition. Alamo also refunded promptly my 2 day unused toll pass. Alamo will be my first choice for future car rentals.

What? You can skip the line and just walk out to the car? I love it. I got a premium car for the weekend and got a great rate (lower by $50 than any other rate) by using my Costco membership. Then I got a message I could fill out some brief paperwork, then walk out and pick out my car. I got an almost brand new Audi Q4, it was spotless and a nice touch, an extra Clorox wipe for good measure. Manager Matt Kirk and a small team were out working in the lot, what a helpful guy. Then you just drive away—no line, no pages of paperwork—all goes digitally to your phone. And no waiting in a line. Thank you Alamo!

Everything about the rental experience was outstanding! From check-in, to selecting a car (there were several choices the lot agent said I could pick from), to returning the vehicle, everyone was very friendly. I selected a Toyota Highlander and had never driven one before. I was very impressed with the ride and all of the features. When I returned the car I wanted to erase my phone info and the agent knew the steps that needed to be done to accomplish this. I normally rent from a different car company, but they were not open when my flight arrived so I went with Alamo and was extremely satisfied. Will certainly use them again.

First of all, they don't tell you that you need a major credit card to rent LARGE SUV's in their website when you reserve a vehicle. Flee down to Gulfport, Mississippi. When I arrived, they would ONLY rent me a regular size SUV (jeep grand Cherokee) with deposit EVEN with my driver's license and my insurance policy. They had my bank account/debit card number and still wouldn't rent a large SUV to me. They tried to "push" me buying the "roadside assistance /towing and liability insurance" and I had to tell the person THREE or FOUR times MY INSURANCE would cover it but they still pushed it like if I didn't buy it, I wouldn't have any assistance or towing. They ALSO would not give me the final cost upon my arrival back in another state (my pickup and drop off of the rental car was in different states) and upon arrival, I was "matter of fact" told 800+ dollars would be charged to my account. Note that the plates on the vehicle were from Wisconsin. Very shady business practices in my opinion. Other than the charges, the vehicle was somewhat clean (inside windshield had residue/wasn't clear) and vehicle ran flawlessly had NO mechanical issues. I've rented from Enterprise before and they were more professional and disclosed everything. I only used Alamo trying to save a few bucks and ended up paying a LOT more and didn't get the vehicle I reserved. I will NOT be renting any vehicles from them again and I would strongly advise anyone reading this to make sure you do your research on EXACT costs or choose another agency.

I always rent with Alamo. My home airport is MCO and they are excellent. I rented a standard pick-up truck and do the quick pick up method so I don't stand in lines. I got to the garage and there were so many cars that they had vehicles parked in front of the standard pick-up area. The Alamo rep Jon came over and asked for my ticket and told me they had two pick-ups available. One of them had no tread on tires, like none so I wasn't comfortable driving it. The other truck they had wasn't much better on tread. That truck was dirty-hadn't been washed looked like someone drove it off road. I asked if I could take a car instead and was informed by Jon that they can't deviate from the vehicle on the ticket. I know that is not true, as they have deviated from it many times because they don't have the vehicle and they had so many cars that day. I took the truck because I had no other option as I had somewhere I needed to be. It drove terrible. Did not remind me of any Alamo rental that I have driven in the past. I called customer service when I left and submitted a form for the manager to call me. I never received a call back. I was supposed to have the truck for the entire week but took it back 4 days early due to the fact I didn't feel safe driving it. Disappointed in the service at the Indy location.

Car pick up was seamless with skip-the-counter process. We enjoyed the Suburban and the Jeep Wagoneer that we rented. We'll definitely rent again from Alamo!

A little disappointed in the vehicle that I rented this past week. When I arrived to pickup my truck at the Alamo booth there was nobody to help me. After walking around to the other booths I had asked at the nearby rental booth (can’t remember which one) and they said they could help me there.
I had asked the employee to please not put me into a truck that had been smoked in and she said no worries. Usually when I rent vehicles they allowed me to pick which one and check the vehicle for smoking. The attendant just walked off and grabbed a truck and gave me the keys and walked away. When I was inspecting the vehicle everything looked good besides the scratches all over the inside of the bed of the truck. I got into the cab and didn’t notice any smell other than the heavy duty cleaner, but it didn’t really smell like smoke.
When I left the airport I noticed that the A/C wasn’t turned off and once it was on I noticed the smell of smoke they were trying to hide. In order to mask the smell I had to go to a nearby truck station to get all of the pine scent trees I could find.
Very disappointed in my experience with Alamo and would not recommend in the future.
