The owner is very knowledgeable and repair prices are reasonable. My vacuum was returned looking brand new and working as well as it did the day I bought it. My Dyson is over 15 yrs old and I'm thrilled to keep using it.

I needed a belt for my vacuum cleaner, and went into this establishment. I was immediately rushed buy a pitbull, as the owner asked me to close the door. I assume that was so the dog wouldn't get out. The dog sniffed me and left to join two large dalmatians the were also in the store. One was chewing on a vacuum cleaner part, and the other went between my legs from the back, and just stood there. I stepped over the dog, and it then began to lean on me. I had to wait for a customer in front of me, and realized the store had a STRONG dog odor. It was really bad. The floor was filthy, and ironically needed to be vacuumed. The owner tried to sell me three belts. Buy two get one free. I declined. The pungent dog odor was so strong, I smelled it all the way home. I immediately took my clothes off and put them in the washer. Can't believe the business is still open. Maybe enough people don't complain or write a review. I will NEVER I said NEVER step foot in that dog pound smelling place again I'm an animal lover and have no problems with dogs. I feel bad for them, the obviously are not cared for. By the way, he was telling the customer in front of me that he had to put one of his dogs down that morning. That would have been four dogs running around in the store. Avoid this place if you don't want to smell like dog all day!

Owner was nice but would not let me into the store because he had 5 big dogs. He wanted to help me outside on the sidewalk I could see dog hair everywhere. No thank you..

It saddens me to write this review because I am committed to supporting local businesses and WestSide Vacuum offers quality merchandise. I am further troubled by the fact that Gordon can be very pleasant and sometimes rude. Monday he was both. My granddaughter and I brought in my less than a year old vacuum for repair. We went in a were surrounded by 5 or 6 dogs. One started licking my legs. From the start Gordon had mentioned we could stay out front while conducting business. When I asked him to get his dogs, he held them to the side and to me to go. We went outside. He quoted me a price for cleaning out the vacuum. It was clogged up and I picked it up Tuesday. Because others have referred to him as shady I now suspect that the vacuum may have already been clogged with his dogs' hair. It was fully assembled when purchased. The following day I called to see if my vacuum was ready. I told him I did not want to be surrounded by dogs. He said that I could stay outside. I said why in a place of business would his dogs be considered over a customer. He started yelling like a real nut job; telling me it was his business and his home and that he could do whatever he wanted. He also said that I could report him. His need for control made him be even more condescending because he repeatedly asked me if he was being clear, whiling yelling all the time. In the past I have tried to overlook his behavior but Tuesday was just too much. A negative foot print will be expanded with every agency possible.

Brought in my Dyson that was in dire straits. Gordon refurbished (replaced some parts) and cleaned within a reasonable timeframe (week, give or take). I plan to utilize his services going forward and recommend him wholeheartedly to anyone who wishes to keep their cleaning machines in top shape and out of land fill. Thanks for being here in Indy and offering your vacuum wizardary!Side note: The shop pups are also a hit! Ping Pong and Football are the loviest dogs! If you're an animal lover, expect to spend 10 glorious minutes giving those boys some love!

The rudest customer services ever! I sent an employee to buy bags and a belt for our office vacuum cleaner. He was rude and angry that we didn't bring the vacuum for him to fixed. He said that is the way it is suppose to happen. She said well we have our own shop to fix it and I just need supplies. She asked if he needed the model number and he said NO, and was rude and called her a f****** b***** I called to speak to the manager and he claims he is the owner/manager and hung up! I wouldn't give this man a dime of business and won't again!!!! In this world, you better learn how to speak to clients if you want to survive in the business world!

If there were -0 stars, this business deserves it. After driving there over a period of 6 months and them never being opened for business, I decided to give it a try only to be welcomed by two large dogs and the owner coming from the China Wok restaurant next door. I explained that I only needed the plug replaced as my own dog chewed it off. He obnoxiotiuosly began offering me services and taking apart my NEW Dyson vacuum in an attempt to show me filters that he claimed needed to be replaced when the vacuum was new. I have never been to a business and received such rude, overbearing service mind you I surely turned and walked right out the door. The owner seemed more concerned with the restaurant next door than his own business. So arrogant and rude. Plus put the dogs away. I do not recommend this business. and to the rude arrogant owner, have a better attitude and don't talk so much.

It was a very good experience and the dogs were very good. They were well behaved even everyone wearing masks! I was given lots of information, got a good deal.I would be happy to recommend him to family members and friends.
