Do not go to the emergency care. They had a tech come in trying to get me to sell $1000 worth of tests before the vet even came to see my Dog to determine what was going wrong. I waited and after the vet came in, they said I should get bloodwork to determine if something serious is wrong, told me to call the next day around 12 hours to find out and i called and they said it will be another 48 hours for results. Not sure what the point of that was when I can go to the normal vet and get them quicker. Also, I waited an hour and a half before this lack of service and care started. They also recommended a medicine to buy that they didn't even have and gave me something else that "should" work.

This place has turned into ONE OF THE WORST places to take your animals ! Ever since they sold out and made the place bigger it has gone to hell! Just this week Monday I took my older dog in and had some labs ran , told me 3/5 days , so I called Friday , was then told 4/8 days because of COVID , and I said Covid ?!? Covid was over 2 years ago ! Anyways got results on Monday finally , talked to Vet was told refill of meds and an estimate that same day ..... never got them , so called this morning 10am asked about it , was told yes they be at the front in about 20 min , said cool , I waited an HOUR to head up there to give them time , get there no estimate and no meds , was told 10/15 min sir , I waited 50 min... I stood up , lady tell out their coming up w them sir , said fine I'm gonna go have a smoke ..... outside then their Pharmacist not gonna say her name she knows who the hell she is ,.... But comes out questioning the meds and I was like I'm the not the Vet why are you asking me ?!? Then I proceeded to ask are you telling me you still don't have this filled for me ?!? And I said to her YOU guys were suppose to have these YESTERDAY for me ! She tried to walk away , well , I gave her a piece of my mind ! I would never take my animals here , I had only been using them for emergency only cause my vet is in Chesterton now ! A few years back I had a dog get hit by a car rushed her there and after hours , needless to say they couldn't save her but they made me put my dead dog back in my car cause I didn't have my license or wallet cause I rushed her there , I told them to look up my account , had been going there for YEARS but they made me drive home with her and then bring her back ..... I also believe they were the cause of another one of my dogs death while in their care , they were watching her over night just for meds and observation , 3 hrs there and they called us telling us our dog had passed , we never thought that was gonna happen ! If you love your animals DO NOT BRING YOUR ANIMALS HERE all they care about is MONEY AND HAVE NO COMPASSION WHAT SO EVER !!!!!

Been going them for about 30yrs and looking into a new vet. There prices are high, there very slow. Don't mind waiting in the waiting room but when you go in back and wait 35 to 60 minutes that's not right and some of the front desk need the be a little polite to people that come in.

Hello, I wanted to say thank you for the help I received from HAC. They are very kind and understanding and work with me financially, showing me how to treat from home to try to save my litter of pit bull puppies. Sadly, Grayson and his brothers and sisters were called home. I lost 8 puppies in my arms in a span of 4 days due to a 2nd run of Parvo. With the help of HAC, Coty is looking good and eating and drinking again, which has kept my tears at bay. I wanted to leave this review to say Thank you guys very much.

This place is great, and provides quality care, but I haven’t been able to find the right time (and I have tried all the times) to come here and not wait for over an hour—sometimes over two hours—for a visit. It’s gotten worse over time, I think. I actually dread the idea of coming here and spending half the day every time. Offering free WiFi would help soften the blow, at least (but they don’t).

The best skilled vets around! I drove an hour away to come here. They saved my kitty's life who had a urinary blockage and severe UTI with dangerous kidney and potassium levels. I'm so thankful for this vets office and will recommend them to anyone who needs care! Thank you Hobart Vet team and Dr.Shaffer!

My dogs have always received excellent care. When it came time to put my 15 yr old dogs quality of life before my own feelings. Dr. Baisden was compassionate & caring. He gave us all the time we needed to be with our beloved family dog.
Dr. Baisden, Dr. Kardigeana & Dr. Wazniak are all top class doctors. The staff is also great!

Good people but the doctor misdiagnosed my dog for not having ticks but he had over 50 of him. She came back had to check under microscope. But still. They were moving and she didnt see them. She knew what to do after she found out but still.

We were camping and our dog drank lake Michigan water .
Was vomiting for 2 days and wouldn't eat .
Took her here very nice people very professional.
In and out in maybe an hour total pup is like new the next day !
Cost was around $235 for everything worth every penny !!

Brought my daughter’s dog in on a Saturday Labor Day weekend and was buzzed right in… The dog got into and ate some Hershey’s chocolate while I was at work… The girl there looked the dog over, told me what to do and spoke with the Vet… Fortunately everything was ok and I returned home and for her consultation, there was no charge…. Excellent service… 5 STARS ✨ ❤️??
