Dr J was the best vet ever! He took care of ALL my babies, & he remembered each one of them & their issues. He was so knowledgeable, kind, caring, & considerate! We miss you so much Dr J! ?

When I woke up to my puppies sick with puffy necks I didn't know what to do. Other emergency vets want $1,300 just to walk in The door with our litter! That wasn't even including treatment! I called Hobart animal clinic and they had us come right in. Had us in a room within 10 minutes. Dr Sans saw us and was very caring and Took her time inspecting each pup. She had the other drs look them over and tan cultures. She was comforting and helped keep me calm (I was a crying mess) turns out they just had a type of infection from strep and with antibiotics they were 100 with in 4 days! Bringing 9 in pups with meds for all. I was scared of what the cost would be. But when I got the bill I was shocked at how reasonable it was. And for the following week the doctor called me regularly to check on them and make sure everything was going good. The people at this establishment really care about the animals and put their needs above all else. I'll never use another vet!

They were amazing with my two dogs! Their services didn't take long at all and were were able to be seen within 30 minutes (great time compared to other hospital that have 2 hour waiting periods atm). They also offer 20% off if you have two or more dogs visiting at the same time. They also took their time explaining every question that I had.

When I came and believe me I was not happy. This weekend is my birthday weekend, and my poor Doggo decided to take a nose dive off the couch and broke her elbow. But after an exhausting day and a good nights rest, I did some checking around, and found that my veterinarian is not only the best in the area... but the cheapest. Had I went somewhere else I would be spending a few thousand more on her treatment and surgery. They are not only courteous they are also very thorough. I would recommend them for any pet/member of your family. :)

Called in to refill my medication yesterday, just got home from work call them to make sure they were open and they told me there was a $10 charge extra because the clinic is closed but the after hour medical center is opened. I asked them if they're there and it's ready why is there a charge and they said because the normal Clinic is closed. I don't understand if the medicines already been pulled and is ready why they want to charge me an extra $10. It's before 3 on Saturday they want to charge me an extra $10. I have been going to this animal hospital for 20 years. I have never heard of anything so ridiculous. It is not an animal hospital anymore it is a money Factory. Very disappointed

After my dog was mistreated at a boarding facility in Illinois, he developed a serious skin infection. I immediately rushed him to the Hobart Animal Clinic. The doctors were incredible! My dog can be aggressive but immediately fell in love them. They treated his skin condition and wrapped him up in clothing to keep him from scratching the areas. He was noticably better within a couple of days. They were so loving and concerned. It is evident that they truly care about animals.

I took my dogs to get groomed today. I had an 8am appointment. Despite making my appointment almost two weeks ago and being the first person in the building this morning, they weren't done until 2:20. Six hours and twenty minutes for two small dogs. I was told that I had an attitude when I asked why they would wash all of the dogs first, then dry all of the dogs, then cut all of the dogs. Dedicating a whole day to a grooming appointment that usually lasts 3-4hours at MOST isn't good customer service. Dr. Cartagena called me later at my request, and doubled down on the policy instead of admitting fault that they were in the wrong. Never take your dogs to be groomed there. Ever.

I would give a zero star if possible. My dog is 10 years old and takes Deramaxx for his arthritis. They refused to fill his prescription without me bringing him in for a new check up even though he's been on the same medication for five years. So I brought him in on a quota of $53 for the check up. Then, after they got me in, they would not give me the prescription even though he's been taking it for five years, without a $200 blood check. Then when I finally got the prescription, they said they didn't have the medication. Since he's in pain and out of meds I tried to get them to fax the prescription to pet meds and they refused to do that as well. Basically $220 for nothing, my dog is still in pain, and they refused to fax their own prescription. When I asked if I could get a weeks supply so I had time to mail the form in myself, they wanted to charge me six dollars per pill. That would be $180 a month. What a rip off. We're taking all of our dogs to a different vet.

I was referred to Hobart animal hospital by a shelter in Hobart while everyone deserves to be paid, this bunch in my opinion puts the $dollar before even considering the owners situation. Paying half now, even offering a credit card for the balance within thirty days goes nowhere with this bunch. With regard to care I brought my previously healthy dog in for discharge eminating from her eye. Drops were prescribed. There was no diagnosis re the underlying condition. I brought her back as directed , but with no improvement. Then a few weeks later the dog would cry out when walking. No fractures found. Twenty one days later the dog starts breathing rapidly and then throws up blood right in front of us. Obviously she passed. Of course they gave her a cortisone shot on her last visit. They treated a symptom and not the cause. I discussed with two vets associated with other clinics. They said it was likely cancer. Cortisone was a " real superior treatment". Money is king at Hobart. Despite years of patronage. We were never allowed to pay a partial bill with a debit card for the balance. They must believe, based on what I've heard, that their customers are deadbeats. I just started visiting another vet. Hopefully it will be a better experience. May I suggest turning Hobart ac into a used car lot. Money is king. Several of the vets I met lead me to believe that understanding patients challenges in paying large bills is not their forte. Do yourself a favor research clinics, even if it means driving to illinois

Dr. Sands and Liz are very competent and caring. This is a wonderful facility that treats your pets with great kindness and compassion. We have been coming here for two years with our Cocker Spaniel and cat, and both have thrived due to their care and expertise. I have recommended many friends, and no one has been disappointed.

A girl I work with lost her grandfather two weeks ago then her apartment burned down two of her animals died the third was rushed to ER by the firefighters. But she had to put that cat down. So horrific to me she lost every single thing including all her fur babies!! I tried in her behalf to get them to either write off the charges or pay half which I was willing to do that day!! They discussed with doctors who said they could only drop it by 30 percent which left $600 she owed!! My heart truly breaks because she has nothing no clothes no place to live and then her fur babies gone. Oh but she can make payments!! Really?? As a company I know you're allowed tax breaks for writing off things!! It's all about the money at Hobart Animal Clinic. So very very sad!!

If you love your pet, (and of course you do), you should avoid this place; they will lie and cover up their negligent and fatal mistakes. I wonder how many hundreds of pet owners have been deceived by Hobart Animal Clinic and believed this place was trustworthy and lost their pets due to ineptitude and horribly wrong diagnosis Its beyond sad. its immoral. May they be held accountable.
