The staff was absolutely amazing. Very kind and professional. Our boxer was hurt at a local campground which recommended Hobart animal clinic which I was so grateful for!

Inexperience and overpriced to say the least. Took my dog and was told everything was fine even after presenting her symptoms. Today, after going to another vet, found out she had a severe muscle strain and was prescribed proper care. STAY AWAY FROM HOBART ANIMAL CLINIC!

If I could give minus 5 stars I would. What happened was that I took my dog in on 4/23/24, and she saw Dr. Carr with the Hobart Animal Clinic. They did an ultrasound, urinalysis and blood work. Dr. Carr said the dog had no stones and I just found out she consulted with another vet, Dr. Middleton, at the practice and claimed I refused an Xray, which I didn't. I took her advice on what to start with and told her to inform me of next steps. She sent the vet tech back in to talk to me saying the "bladder wall was thickened" and that they suspected UTI but would wait until the blood work and urine test came back. The next day, they prescribed an antibiotic. I repeatedly called back about the dog vomiting, would not eat, still peeing blood for several days and was blown off that "it's normal with a UTI." I went on vacation, faithfully giving the dog the antibiotic. On 5/13/24, and two weeks of antibiotic, I took my dog to an emergency vet in Florida while on vacation and the dog was immediately diagnosed with bladder stones. The vet there told me they could not understand why the vet did not tell me about the stones and "there was no way they could not see them." I saw the scan on a monitor while the vet was talking and even I could see there were stones. My dog had emergency surgery. I called to complain this morning with Hobart's vet clinic and they have repeatedly blown me off and the office manager, Kristen, said "they will have no further contact with me." If you want your animals to stay healthy, please stay away from this practice. It's a joke.

I called in to ask questions about how much my dogs shots would be and unfortunately I had the displeasure of speaking to a girl named Kelly. She was extremely rude, snarky and kept over speaking me. I have been going to Hobart Animal Clinic for almost 20 years and have never came across anyone rude. I am extremely dissatisfied with the way she spoke to me. I hope someone holds her accountable. She might benefit from someone teaching her customer service.

Absolutely worst experience I have ever had visiting a pet clinic doctor and staff had no clue what was wrong with my dog only about a dozen things it could be but when it came to cost they knew exactly that they had to get as much as possible from me. 850 bucks and didn't know anymore when I left than when I went in

Unfortunately, I have watched the level of care and compassion of this clinic go straight downhill. As long time customers, we remember the days when dogs and their owners were treated with compassion and courtesy on a personal basis. There is now a revolving door of veterinarians and corporate profit and policy seem to rule here.

My cat had a spay and it cost $700. A reputable business in the same practice would have charged less than half (only $250!) for the same service. Routine services were cheaper by $50 with added medication. Will be switching to Lowell.

Who and how many people said that Hobart Animal Clinic is both Cheap and the Best? LIES!!! These people are rude, non-professional narcissists! It took four airheads to administer vaccines to my 11mo old puppy. After calling all morning, I was told to come at 2p, wait time never changed and you must sit inside to be recognized (sure you didn't function like that during COVID- I'd prefer my vehicle, all sorts of behaviors in here). Honestly, after reading the reviews on the number of fatalities they've caused I should have taken her back home. The prices are high, staff don't comprehend, are very argumentative and are small-minded. If you love your pet DO NOT go here. Now to keep an eye on my lil girl hoping and praying they administered in-date, current vaccines. Perhaps we need to boycott and/or start a class action lawsuit. They for sure need to go out of business and the lies again they tell about not recognizing self-administered vaccines-it's all a money scheme, gimmick, hoax, these kooks. Don't get me wrong 1 of of 4 was nice, otherwise entire facility is in cahoots. Sad!!? Ask me they're main objective is to ruin someone's day. P.S. -Names were declined upon being asked.

This place is a joke. So you mean to tell me you're going to give a cat who has parasites a boxed medication with the wrong pills in it but you label it as the medication the cat needs. You guys are asking for a nasty ass lawsuit and you're lucky the meds were caught in time before administered to the cat. Fucking idiots!

Took my 3 month old Chihuahua Shih Tzu to get shots and my puppy hasn't been able to eat drink or play took him back to this place they give him a shot in the head to keep him hydrated and charged me for it and they are the ones who screwed up now 5 days later my puppy is dying they won't take responsibility that they caused this to happen gave him to many shots at one time. My puppy was healthy and happy before I took him here. Do not take your pet here they do not take accountability of their actions

I can't give this clinic a rating as there are no stars for "truly horrendous". I had two sick dogs and waited for 2 hours to be seen by a vet. The incompetent vet ran parvovirus tests on my dogs, which should not have been done. Both dogs are vaccinated and over one year of age. The first test "didn't run right" according to the vet. That's probably code for "someone screwed up". So, she swabbed my dogs' anus TWICE. When one of my dogs yelped, she said he's "ridiculous". Really? I wonder how she'd like to be stuck in the butt TWICE. I waited for 20 minutes each time for each test result. Parvo was negative, of course. After four hours and HUNDREDS of dollars for two parvo tests (no other tests were done), I walked away with two medications. The vet told me to stop giving one of the medications as soon as my dogs quit having diarrhea. The tech said to give it two more days after the diarrhea stops. Which is it? Giving medications is kind of a serious thing, so you'd think everyone would know how and when to give the medicine to my dogs! The tech told me that if the diarrhea doesn't stop within 24 hours of getting the medicine, to bring the dogs back in. I told her not to worry, we wouldn't be returning to Hobart Animal Clinic. She said, "Then take your dogs somewhere else because it could be something serious." I said, "Something serious couldn't have been detected within the FOUR hours we were here?" The tech and the vet showed no empathy at all. Even the lady at the front desk never smiled and was not friendly when I checked in. Please do not take your animals to this vet. They are walk-in only and you WILL wait for hours. My dogs had diarrhea in the waiting room and in the exam room several times. I have to throw away their leashes because they have to be on leashes, even while waiting for two hours in the exam room. I've been to the Hobart Animal Clinic twice and will never go back.

I've taken two of my animals here in dire emergencies, and both times I was treated with the utmost respect and kindness, and in the case of the one who didn't make it, heartfelt sympathies from all employees and the doctor. In 2020, my cat had stopped eating, which caused her to lose a ton of weight, and another vet had completely misdiagnosed her. They had me giving her Ativan to stimulate her to eat, but it wasn't working, and she eventually ended up having a full blown seizure; I thought for sure she wouldn't make it. The doctor here took excellent care of her, did all of the necessary testing and found the problem. She came home with me hours later on a feeding tube, which solved the issue, and after a month she was back to her normal, playful self again. She's now 14 years old and healthier than ever, thanks to this vet. Just today, I came home from work and found my ferret laying in the bottom of her cage not moving, but having small seizures/twitching. She was completely limp and was in a terrible way. I rushed her to this vet, and once again was met with nothing but kindness and warmth from all staff. Unfortunately the humane option was to put her to sleep...considering her advanced age, there was nothing that could realistically be done to help her. I will never take my animals anywhere else, especially for emergency situations. Once the decision was made, I received such heartfelt apologies and condolences from all staff that entered the room, and I knew I had made the right decision. Thank you so much to all staff. You are wonderful people. My cat is still alive and thriving because of you.

0/5 stars, I have to give 1 to post this review. Anyways, this is going to be a long review but I suggest you read it before taking your pet here, and trust the other bad reviews they have as well. Took my cat here on May 23rd, 2023 for a brown cloudy eye. They did blood work, and eye pressure test while we were there and prescribed her eye drops and an antibiotic. From the second we got into a room our cat was very stressed which is unlike her at the vet, I should have realized that and left. Not only did they keep us waiting for over 20 minutes two times, they couldn't even give us any answers to what was going on, answer our questions or explain things to us properly. They were very dismissive of things, we had to repeat ourselves multiple times, and were very quick to prescribe her an antibiotic without even knowing the results of the blood work or what was going on. No one there knows how to communicate at all, the "vet" we saw was talking to us and walking out of the room as she was talking to us and closed the door. She never asked us if we had questions or anything just left in the middle of talking and never came back. The older lady at the front desk was very rude as well. Then two days later I got the call with my cat's blood work results, and she said her platelets were low, they don't know what could be causing it but she could be internally bleeding and recommend we bring her back that day to get do more testing and get looked at in case this was going on. My Fiancé and I made the decision we weren't going back there after they way we were treated and they way our cat was treated and how stressed we all were when we left that place our cat included. Vet was very adamant about us coming back, I felt they just wanted more $$, considering they got a nice chunk of change at our first visit and we got nothing. Despite our cat's eye she was still acting like her normal self, eating and drinking fine, so we decided to find a normal vet and get her checked out there. Moral of the story, this place DOES NOT care about the animals, they are not knowledgeable, and I would never recommend this place to anyone.

Bad experience for my dog and me! It is too business like . I wasn't listened to about my dog sensitivity to his paws.
