I can’t say enough good about this place. We took our very sick dog to get checked out. Unfortunately, we had to put her down. The entire staff was so kind and accommodating in what was one of the worst times for my family. I genuinely don’t know how we would have gotten through such a hard loss without the staff being so kind to us and our Daisy.

The staff and Dr Pratscher always go above and beyond in service when we visit them. We never feel rushed and Dr Pratscher takes the time to answer any questions we have. Would highly recommend them! Thank you Animal Medical Center. Keep up the good work!

Dr. Newsome has taken care of my pets since he opened this office. I wouldn't go any where else. All of the Vets that have worked in this office have been great too. Love this office!!

Dr. Newsom diagnosed my dog's eye issue in one second where as several other vets could never figure it out. I'm now taking her there to get some growths taken off of her and her teeth cleaned. She is 14 and I have absolute trust in him to take great care of her. I just love Dr. Newsom and I hope he never fully retires. I'll try and remember to post photos afterwards. Surgery is not for another week..

My husband and I visited the Animal Medical Center of Hebron for the first time with our rescue dog Sheba. The doctor and staff members were courteous and knowledgeable. The facility was very clean .

After moving to a new area, we were in search of a new vet. I brought my 3 cats for their yearly wellness checks, and although they were nervous, everyone was so nice to them.

If I could give no stars I would.I took my cat in because he was scratching his butt against the floor a lot, so I told them I think he may need his anal glands expressed. I just moved to the area, so I have never seen this vet before. They didn’t do any type of exam, they didn’t ask me any questions about him or how he is with being held or touched. They held him down and ignored me saying he does not like to be held that way he will freak out, then simultaneously attempted to express his anal glands right there in front of me. When he tried to bite the vet tech they acted as if my cat was the issue. They called in someone else who seemed VERY inexperienced. she picked up my cat by his neck, then proceeded to wrap her hands around his throat (he was making choking noises with his eyes bulging) while he was on the table to try to get him to relax and get in the cat bag they brought in to try to help. At this point there were 3 extra people in the room, and my cat was not okay. I told them to just stop and the vets stellar response was “okay take him back to orland park then” as if he responds this way to patients that are unhappy with him often. I am sobbing as I write this as I have NEVER experienced someone treating any of my animals so poorly. My cat should have never been put through all of that. He should have been examined FIRST OFF. Then taken in back where he can be placed in a cat bag before anything was attempted to be done to him considering how invasive it is.When I asked for a supervisors name and number I was refused one, told that they are owned by a company, and when I tried to call back after I left they had turned the phones off, 30mins before they closed. This “vet” needs to retire and this place should be shut down.I don’t even know the name of the vet that “took care” of my cat because he didn’t introduce himself or ask any questions about my cat at all. He seemed like he should’ve retired at least ten years ago.

Took my Bengal in thinking he had an abscessed tooth, turned out he had cancer and a very horrible tumor that was bleeding nonstop. We had to put our furbaby down. He was also 13 years old. The staff here were very sympathetic and were very gentle with our baby. They offered on-site private cremation. We even got a little clay molding of his paw prints. They as well mailed a letter with more paw prints and a little baggie of his fur. I will continue to use them in the future for my other fur babies.

I’m not one to leave unfavorable reviews. But I am livid. Apparently, there will be days you show up to get meds for your pet during business hours & they just aren’t open. No warning. Called Tuesday morning before work & LVM to get meds for my dog. Even let them know Id be in Wednesday morning to get it. Nobody called me back so I assumed I could pick up meds from 8-6 Mon-Fri. I showed up Wednesday @ 9:30 am and every indication said they should be open but weren’t. Signs on doors said closed. Website, hours on door & voicemail said they should’ve been open. Called & left a voicemail in the parking lot about needing her things & nobody called me back but they posted on their Facebook page about dental care. I’ve worked for multiple Vet clinics, just not being open with no warning is not ok. My dog went a day without meds, I’m just glad they aren't life saving ones. I'll be ordering meds through their online pharmacy until we find a different Vet.
