It was my first time visiting this venue. It was spacious. There was plenty of free parking. The venue was set up for a wedding reception. My friend hosted her son's reception and catered the food herself, therefore, I can't comment on that service provided by the venue. The kitchen was small, so I'm not certain about the functionality of that for catering large events. The place was decorated beautifully. I am not certain what was provided by The Lotus Room. If they provided the backdrop, the table settings, the head table, the King & Queen table, and chairs, then they were beautifully done. The bride and groom were ecstatic, that's all that matters!

The space was really nice!! The decorations were nice. The only downside was no stove to warm food but understandable. There was plenty of parking, and the restrooms were kept clean.

We celebrated my fathers life with a luncheon at The Lotus Room. Erica was informative, responded quickly, and helpful. The room was clean, nicely decorated, tables with linen and additional tables setup for memorial display, on time and beautiful arranged. I will definitely use this even center again in the future for any occasion. Thank you Erica for all of your help and ease of rental process during such a difficult time in our lives.

I used for my 35th birthday two years because my original venue was closed down due to a fire..staff was helpful and professional to my set up crew. I don’t remember if i received my deposit back but it doesn’t matter because my party set up ppl was late coming back and getting their stuff. I’m looking forward to using this venue in a year for my wedding . Made my 35th birthday party great ??

Last year on 12/16/22 Ms. Eric's made individuals with disabilities feel apart of the community. The Lotus room was very spacious and the clients were excited and went back to the CILA with smiles . I would rent from her for all their occasions. Thanks Ms. Erica for a heart that only God can give.

So I booked here last year for my baby shower and amazing is an understatement! The owner went above and beyond to make sure she met every need the turn out was so beautiful I literally cried, its one year later and I am booking again for my twins first birthday!

Part 2...The owner, Erica Pennington, is unprofessional and does not know how to talk to people. Her customer service is horrible. She snaps at people, and was short with everyone.The Photographer: The photographer arrived at 2:45PM to set up and she had a problem with him arriving 15 minutes before 3PM and said some smart words to him too. He came to me and asked what her problem was. I didn't know she had said anything to him.Rehearsal: The Lotus Room only offers two hours on a Thursday for the rehearsal. I literally had to negotiate a Friday because 80% of the wedding party was coming from different states and would not arrive until Friday morning or afternoon and they had already booked flights. Per Erica, we had two hours and had to be out of the building by 5PM.Cleaning: Cleaning the space is expected at most events, but the Lotus Room has unrealistic expectations. There were no towels or cleaning products available and no extra garbage bags for trash. There was no one there to mop/sweep clean spills. I had to search the facility to find a mop. They also expect someone to clean THE PARKING LOT after the event!!!!I don't know if Erica has ever had a wedding, but she definitely does not care about the Bride's experience. The whole experience with Erica was horrible. I would not recommend using any of her facilities because of her attitude and unprofessionalism.

Part 1..The owner, Erica Pennington, is unprofessional and does not know how to talk to people. Her customer service is horrible. She snaps at people, and was short with everyone.The Room: We had 160 guests and was supposed to have 16 tables with 10 chairs/ settings per table. I emailed the diagram to Erica and the owner of the rental company that I used and Erica approved it. I asked multiple times, via email and phone, for the room dimensions because I have an app that provides the number and size of tables, chairs, and people that can legally fit into the space per the fire codes in that city. Erica told me she didn't have the dimensions. On the day of the wedding, after arriving at the Lotus Room and conducting a walkthrough, I found there were four smaller tables with only eight chairs/ settings. I brought this to Erica's attention and asked how we would rectify this. Erica responded, "everything is different on paper and the larger tables wouldn't fit in the space. You'll have to figure it out." I asked her, how am I supposed to do that when I don't have enough seats for 160 guests? Erica's response, "You'll have to make it work." If all of our guests had attended, there would have been a serious problem because they would not have had anywhere to sit.The Unity Candle Table: There was a high cocktail table where the table for the Unity Candle was supposed to be. I asked Erica about the Unity Candle table because it was supposed to have been a short table like the cake table because the bride is short. Erica said, "I only have one of those tables. The owner of the rental company that you used brought that one herself. If you want a table for the candles, you have to use that." Why didn't she tell me she didn't have the short table after she reviewed the room diagram? I would have brought it myself.Chairs for the Caterer: I also asked Erica for four chairs to place behind the food serving tables for the catering staff and she agreed to place them. When I saw they were not there, I asked Erica about the chairs. Her response, " I don't have enough chairs for that. I had to put chairs in the Bridal Suite and if you want the chairs, you have to take them from there" and she walked away. 1st, where are the ten chairs that were not placed for our guests, and 2nd, the Bride rented the Bridal Suite, for $300, with a bridal party of 18. It's a nice sized room but they were only given five folding chairs. Where are the chairs that were supposed to have been placed in the bridal suite for the wedding party?The Bridal Suite: Before the wedding day, I asked Erica what time the Bride and her Wedding party could access the Bridal Suite, because the only details outlined in the contract about the use of the Bridal Suite is the cost, $300. Erica only wanted to give them ONE HOUR in the room before the wedding. After going back and forth with Erica and the Bride having to call her to remind her about the discussion they had about having three hours before the wedding, Erica gave them TWO HOURS, but she did not want me, the coordinator, the photographer, caterer, or baker to access the building until one hour before the wedding. I called and asked Erica if I could arrive with the bride because I wanted to conduct a walkthrough and complete the setup before the final rehearsal with the wedding party and Erica said yes. I arrived at 2PM, with the bridal party, and Erica had an attitude from the time we stepped in the building. She asked me, "Are you here to coordinate back there, gesturing towards the bridal suite, or to mess around in her, meaning the hall?" I said, both as we discussed. Is that okay with you? Erica's response, "All you had to do was ask. Communication is everything." What are you talking about?! I asked, I don't know how many times, because I wanted to make sure we were on the same page and to make sure that I had time to do everything I needed to do before

I really meant to give this review last year, but it didn’t pop up. I was unable to use the venue that I booked due to some issues. The owner worked with me and even delivered chairs, tables and tents to my backyard and everything end up working out the venue is beautiful and so is the owner. Thank you.

Service was horrible, I did not receive what I paid for, the woman sent me pictures of what to expect, 5 Circular table’s able to sit 30 people, but when I showed up they had set up a basic long table with 30 chairs around it, with raggedy decorations, limited space, it was a horrible experience. I showed her the picture she sent me saying this looks nothing like what you sent me but she replied saying I was nitpicking.
