“For some reason in the beginning of july they have Halloween stuff on shelves and not enough hanging flowers. It's too soon people. Anyway the store is clean and the employees are very nice.”
“I recently had the pleasure of visiting Hawker Hobby, and I can't express how impressed I am with the service and expertise provided by the owner Jeremy. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and valued as a customer.First and foremost, Jeremy took the time to personally guide me through various model building techniques. His knowledge and passion for the hobby were evident as he shared insights and even showcased examples of his own builds displayed in the shop. It's clear that Hawker Hobby isn't just a store but a hub for hobbyist to learn, share, and grow their skills. What sets Hawker Hobby apart is their commitment to customer satisfaction. Unlike online purchases where you're often left to figure things out on your own, Jeremy stands behind his products and offers invaluable support every step of the way. There's something special about visiting a brick and mortar hobby shop. Beyond the convenience of browsing products in person, it fosters a sense of community and camaraderie among fellow hobbyists. It's a place where you can connect with like-minded individuals, exchange ideas, and even collaborate on projects. In today's digital age, the importance of establishments like Hawker Hobby cannot be overstated. They provide not only quality products but also invaluable expertise and personalized service that simply can't be replicated online. Supporting local businesses like this one is essential for preserving the essence of hobby culture and ensuring its continuation for generations to come.Although this was my first visit, my experience at Hawker Hobby was nothing short of exceptional. The owner's dedication, knowledge, and genuine passion for the hobby make it a must-visit destination for enthusiasts of all levels. I wholeheartedly recommend Hawker Hobby to anyone looking for a top-notch experience and look forward to my (many) next visit(s)! After all, I will be needing to stock up on some model building equipment after a long hiatus from the hobby!”
“Just moved to the area and was excited to find this place. Great shop with many comics and Magic: The Gathering. Huge game room to sit down and participate in their weekly events. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Anna even provided a list of other local game stores and local restaurants to eat. Even suggested places for my dogs! I will be a weekly customer.”
“Very cool vintages items for a regular low price and they give discounts to every veterans and also when any customer ask for a discount they get a 10% discount for any items”
“Stopped in to get what I needed for my boy. They have so so many items.. The gentleman working was so incredibly helpful! I'm so grateful for his assistance I wish I would of gotten his name.”
“I brought my 8 and 6 year old sons here yesterday to look at pokémon cards. The store is very organized and clean and the employees were kind and helpful. As soon as we walked in, someone greeted us and asked us if we needed help. They directed us to the pokémon cards, which were set up neatly at tables with chairs. We also looked through the holographic and higher value cards that were in a display case. Every once in a while an employee would check in to see how we were doing. They closed at 7 PM and I didn't realize the time. I was so embarrassed when they told me at 7:20 PM that they were getting ready to close. We quickly wrapped up our purchase even though I didn't feel at all that they were rushing us. My sons loved the experience and I look forward to returning in the future.”

2631 Highway Ave, Highland“Currently limited days and hours open but guess that can be expected since the other 3 hobby train stores have closed. Store small but has a large warehouse of items that goes back at least 40 years. If you know what you want in advance its best to ask in advance.”
“Jeremy is simply the best! I have moved out of state, but whenever I homebrew I think about how great it was to have a local homebrew shop just down the road! I really miss the convenience of it and being able to see my grains/hops and discuss what I'm planning with another homebrewer. I've been relegated to using online shops and it's just not the same.”
