These people are truly great people and the best experience I have had related to healthcare. I have a son who was in the NICU for 3 months and a week after her was born I lost my job at the same hospital he was born at (Community Health Network). My cobra coverage would have been $2500 per month for my wife, son, and I. This team with well fund got my son connected to Medicaid so they covered the ENTIRE bill and also got my wife and I Medicaid which only cost us $35 a month for medical, dental, vision, chiropractic, and mental health. This is a God send given I am in the middle of looking for a job. Even if I was still working, I would not have been able to cover the 3 month NICU bill plus my wife’s week stay and delivery which would have been in the hundreds of thousands of dollars and Community Health does not forgive bills so would have had to make payments over decades. I can’t thank the team at Well Fund enough for all their help which they initiated and handled completely for me and my family while always being so kind and caring during my calls. They did an awesome job keeping me updated almost on a daily basis when we were applying for Medicaid. These people have taught me to be a better healthcare professional given their kindness and care and they do it all for free. God bless you all very much. I appreciate all you did from the bottom of my heart especially Ms. Diana Crocker who is now my role model for dealing with patients from now on. Thank you so much.

Spoke with Heather who was rude and constantly spoke over me when I was trying to understand why she was being so rude. She hung up on me. Called and spoke with Ross who was great, kind, empathetic, got me to a supervisor. Spoke with supervisor Savannah Starks who ALSO constantly interrupted me and spoke over me while I was explaining the issues I had had with Heather. Obviously Heather is rude because she was trained by a supervisor who is also rude.
It’s very frustrating and disheartening to have to constantly go through this same issue with people who are contracted to or work directly for Community Health Network.
The WellFund seems like an excellent service I would have greatly benefited from and now absolutely cannot access as there is no way to ensure I will get someone as good as Ross rather than someone who will misgender, interrupt, and disrespect me like Heather or Savannah. I will also be reaching out to Community Health Network regarding these abysmal interactions.
It is 2024, trans people exist and CHN has a whole part of their intake that has a space for Preferred Name and Pronouns. If the contracted company’s files differ, it is to their detriment.
I have worked in customer service positions for over 20 years and I would have been reprimanded or even fired for the way I’ve been treated by some of these people. It is basic customer service to not talk over anyone you are servicing, especially if they are relaying a concern or an issue.
Heather and Savannah triggered my medical anxiety, a now common occurrence when dealing with CHN staff, and belittled my direct account of my experience, and my concerns about this treatment and how it affects other patients they are meant to serve.
Do better. This is exactly why so many people are incapable of accessing necessary services. Because you as a customer service provider can’t just remember how Active Listening works and implement it in your interactions with clients.

I got recommended to call this place by Community Health after losing my insurance to figure something out and the guy who answered the phone was immediately rude to me and said to me “what do you want me to do about it?” I just hung up. To be so rude as soon as you pick up the phone to someone who just needed some sort of guidance…uncalled for. Don’t bother wasting your time with them.
