Great place. Good staff. Kids love it. My grandson has been attending for almost a year. We absolutely love it and all the staff.

I would not take my dog to this establishment, let alone my children. For someone that claims to love children, the treatment of the children is extremely poor…my nephew came home with burns on his hands, was Constantly harped on, they spoke poorly of him to other parents, he cried every single morning as soon as we pulled in drive way, and always dirty when picked up. He never does this anywhere else. Do not take your children here. So sad…. To think that these children- who can’t speak and advocate for themselves are being treated the way they are there. ?

My daughter was going to the one on Shelby which was okay. The issues started happening when that closed down and they transferred everyone to the one in Greenwood. The director of all facilities has an office here upstairs. When COVID happened, she refused to let my daughter go to the facility (in kindergarten at the time) and claimed that only kids who were active there daily (school agers & full time etc) were able to attend, but was still forcing/requiring me to pay her weekly, this went on for a few months. I reported this to the state and they did an investigation. They ended up concluding that she was committing time fraud and contacted her, recommending I switch daycares because something didn’t seem right. She immediately contacted me stating that my daughter could now come to the facility. (After telling the state that she “never said that my daughter was not allowed at the facility.”) I changed daycares and have never been more happy with where she is at now. I wouldn’t trust this lady with a household pet let alone a kid.

I will preface my review with saying if you are looking for a daycare program this place could be a potential candidate. However, if you are looking for a preschool program to prepare for kindergarten, you will be disappointed. I chose this place because I was moving from out of state temporarily and wanted a place that was close to my in-laws house. This place was right outside of their subdivision and advertised as a preschool. When I did the tour everything seemed great. The staff was very kind and the facility seemed "homey". One thing that did make me feel a bit uncomfortable was the second time that I came to the building to drop off my registration fee ,was that the front door remained unlocked at all times. The second visit there was no staff in sight and I had to go through the building looking for staff. It was a big safety concern for me. But, I thought because it was summertime that maybe it was just a summertime thing. Well, I was wrong. The front door is unlocked at all times for anyone to walk in. when I inquired about the concern, I was given no answer. When my girls started the program I had no idea who their teacher was going to be and what I was supposed to be doing to get them signed in on the first day. I never received a welcome email or anything preparing for the first day as far as any reminders. Every other preschool my other kids have been to in the past have always sent out an email from the teacher explaining how the first day would go and things that they would be learning the first week. After the first day, my girls came home with zero paperwork of things that they worked on that day. In fact, In the two months they were there I never got one piece of paper of things they were working on until the very last day ,she sent me home with a few things. She claimed she was more "hands on" so I wouldn't see much work. None of which was work that would prepare them for kindergarten. They were just craft and art type of paperwork. Lastly, I just felt like there was a lot of disorganization. It was very difficult to get a hold of staff unless you just went to the building. They do not use any sort of reminder app or email system to communicate with parents. I don't know what they would do in case of an emergency to get a hold of all parents at one time as they do everything through paperwork old-school way. Again, maybe it's a great place for a day care setting but not for a pre-K setting.

Terrible management structure, awful to employees, fake pictures of employees and building on website. Not a healthy place for children, not a healthy environment for employees. Please, in regards to childcare, look elsewhere.

Both of my sons ages, 5 and 3 currently go to Children's Cottage. I absolutely LOVE it. They have been going for over 8 months now, and I couldn't be happier with how sweet, caring and hands-on they all are with the kids. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is nervous about enrolling their children into this daycare. I was a stay at home since my 5 year old was 6 mos. old, and needless to say I was very hesitant. But that quickly diminished. I TRUST them whole-heartedly with their safety and wellness, while I am at work.
