My father had an emergency hospitalization and I came into town from out of state. I couldn’t find a single other establishment willing to help me out in boarding his dog. When I called Pet Palace they were so kind and the process to get the paperwork completed is so easy with it right on their website. I wasn’t able to get him there the first night as things were slow going at the hospital to start so when I called back ready to continue the process, she remembered me and asked after my dad. The customer service is phenomenal!! The building is clean and welcoming. The dog who is incredibly anxious is enjoying his stay which I think speaks volumes to their business practices. 10/10 recommend!

We have an 11 month old mini berniedoodle. Dropped her off October 23, 2023 for daycare and asked if they would give her a bath if they had time. We like to keep our dog's hair long and brush her every day to prevent matting. When we picked her up we were shocked to see that our dog had been shaved. We didn't ask for her to be groomed and no instructions were on file. The owner's excuses about having a lot of dogs and being busy were not satisfactory. We will not be back. Will take a full year to grow our dog's double coat back to where it was.

The place was great when Byron owned it and went to hell when it changed hands. If you love your dog, don't take them here.

My wife and I used to recommend pet palace to everyone we knew. Since they have changed hands, it has really gone downhill. Not only has the quality of the grooming declined but we have had two incidents where they put us down incorrectly on the calendar. One of our two golden retrievers Has to take medication to remain calm going there and therefore, unfortunately, I unnecessarily drugged my dog for today’s appointment. Even though they admitted to making the mistake, they offered no other solution other than to come back on another day. I would be really curious to see what their average star rating is if Google could only remove the previous five star ratings from the old owner.

After an unpleasant experience at another local small business groomer (think: concrete, restricted/no nearby grass for potty), I tired the Pet Palace and knew immediately I’d found the BEST groomer in the area. The environment is super friendly and very low-stress for dogs and dog parents! I felt welcome and appreciate the compassion from Christina and everyone else at the Pet Palace, even though my pup can get a little nervous sometimes. They take their time and are gentle and sweet. My dog has always looked amazing and they’re willing to go the extra mile to help keep my dog all fresh and clean. Kindness, to-notch grooming and remarkably fair prices. I’ll never have my dog groomed elsewhere. It’s great to know they have daycare and boarding, too, should I need it. Definitely check out the Pet Palace if you’re looking for an all-around amazing grooming experience!

This place is phenomenal. We've tried several locations and different boarding places and groomers. We picked up our two German Shepards and when I say that their anxiety levels were calm and they were happy soft, clean and happy I mean this is the best I've ever seen my pups after a stay. They take care of our local K9 officers and they obviously cared so much about our babies that I don't have enough nice words. The pricing was INCREDIBLE. The people? KIND, INTELLIGENT, GENUINE, HONEST and most importantly understand the needs of our loved ones they even texted pictures of our babies!!

I had booked an appointment for my dog for grooming. When I talked to them I brought to their attention that 3 years back( last time I was there)my dog had to be shaved down and there ware bleeding scratches on her belly and underarms. I was told that now the salon is under new management and I was relieved. I received a call back from the owner in 15 minutes telling me that because my dog was matted she had to be cut so deep with the razor and it was my fault and that cuts ware expected.I cancelled my upcoming appointment. They are very rude and refuse to learn from any mistakes they may have made. Shows bad management and immaturity.

I was dedicated and would go the extra mile for this company. But when I told Christina, Asia, and India about my pregnancy and needing accommodations. THEY FIRED ME, called me a LIABILITY, and ACCUSED ME of inappropriate actions! Not also that but they decided to CHARGE ME MY BENEFITS AFTER THEY FIRED ME! They overworked me and the current employees and CHOOSE not to pay for the hours we work over our time because THEY CHOOSE NOT TO. This business LACKS INTEGRITY, HONESTY, and INADEQUATE MANAGEMENT! I will seek JUSTICE and DEFEND our women’s right! I would HATE for anyone to go through this again! PREGNANCY IS NOT A DISABILITY!!! I will stand up for those who can’t and DO THE RIGHT THING!

This place is amazing at boarding! We had our first boarding experience here and we were nervous because our big dog has separation anxiety and tends to to try to tear and break things but they handled him so well and sent us photos everyday! The rates are really great and the staff is super friendly and helps with anything you need! My 8 year old dog loves it here! Book here you will not regret!

Great people, with great affection for your fur babies! Never a second thought that my pups will get anything less than first-class treatment!

I give this place one star personally, this place fires employees for no reason. The management is extremely rude to customers and the other employees. Asia acts like she knows more than you do about your dog and thinks she’s better than everyone. The cost is ridiculous for what you get out of it, we miss the old owner terribly. If you are looking for somewhere to board your fur babies I would recommend looking elsewhere.

We just moved to the area and have boarded our 2 mini dachshunds here several times. They are wonderful, the dogs love them, they run in and don’t look back. Recently, one of them has had a back problem and they took great care of him. I highly recommend the Pet Palace to board your dog!!!

My dog was boarded here and he had a fantastic time! Usually I have him boarded elsewhere, but this was the first time here. He actually ate his food, which he hardly does when I’m away from him. He did great with other dogs and overall had a great time. Highly recommend!

I recently boarded my two dogs at Pet Palace for two nights- Thursday and Friday night. Their policy for weekend pickups, specifically Saturday pickups, is laughable and should be highlighted so future customers can be aware. The rate per night for my two dogs was $85- very fair. They were dropped off Thursday afternoon and picked up Saturday morning at 10:30am; so they were at the facility for less than 48 hours. I was shocked upon pickup when I was told my total was $255. I was told they charge this as 3 nights (again, there less than 48 hours) as ‘Saturday is a full day charge for boarding.’ The only option for Saturday is to pick up your pups between 10-10:30am. Although this timing was not convenient for us having been out of state for the two days prior, we understood their limited hours and made arrangements to get back to the dogs in time. What I cannot believe is a full $85 dollar charge for maybe two hours of our dogs being awake at the center on Saturday morning… There is no way to board your dog for just Friday night here- you are charged for two days even when your dog is not actually there for the second day. Sunday pick ups are also charged the full nights boarding fee- BUT this makes much more sense since that pick up is at 7-7:30pm. Insisting customers rush back to town to pick up their dogs early in the morning THEN charging for that entire day when the dogs aren’t even there is quite literally the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard. To be fair, the website does state ‘Saturday and Sunday are full charge days for boarding’, though I am sure that I am not the first person to misunderstand how this applies to Saturday morning pick ups. Moral of the post- if you need to board your dog for a stay ending on a Saturday, avoid this place. Lastly, my dog had p*** smeared across his chest when I picked him up. Fun! Filter these reviews by ‘Newest’ and you will see almost all of the new reviews are only one star- that is very telling. Do yourself and your dogs a favor and take them to Bunk & Biscuit in Niles!
