“Martin’s has the best service combined with wide variety into one grocery store. Today I was looking for skinless, deboned chicken thighs. I asked one of the butchers, Kevin, about such a product and he stated that it was not available but he would be happy to debone the chicken for me! I waited just a few minutes for him to take the bone out of the chicken thighs. For Someone who does not often debone chicken, this saved an immense amount of time on a recipe and I greatly appreciate it! Thank you, Kevin!!”

“I like this side door deli! They have great options for a variety of tastes.... fresh fruit, salads, cheese, sushi, as well as fried chicken, soup, sandwiches, doughnuts, muffins, chips, and candy all right at your convenience near the Starbucks.The one suggestion I would make is that they need to stock the pint size Crystal Springs Creamery milk somewhere near the deli. (NOT only on the complete opposite side of the store in the dairy department.)There are also restrooms right inside the door to the right.”

“Nice newish Marathon gas station on the outskirts of Granger, Indiana...very close to South Bend, Mishawaka, and Notre Dame. The gas prices are typical for the area, and the attached convenience store (Hazens One-Stop) is nice and clean. It has most of the usual impulse items people seek in addition to gas - such as cigarettes, candy, Lotto tickets, pop, snacks, and the like. Very handy. Inside the store there is a Subway outlet, so you can get a quick sandwich...and one that is generally much fresher than the fast-food I've-been-heated-all-day hotdog. A Subway inside the gas station store is a nifty idea. Also attached and on the other side of the building is a real sit-down Italian restaurant - Giannettos. Known for its take out pizza, the restaurant also has a dozen or so tables and a more extensive menu. So you can stop by and fill up your tank and get a pizza to go...very convenient. While this line up of gas, Subway, and pizza may seem incongruous, they make it work. Since this area, in general, and this corner (Cleveland and Capitol), in particular, have not yet been fully developed, these stores are ahead of the curve and ready and waiting for customers. This location is primo as they are within one mile of an entrance/exit (#83) to the Indiana tollway. Come give it a try.”
