Brookdale Granger staff and the community have completely given my aunt a place to thrive, while giving her a safe place to live. It is so wonderful to see her happy, laughing and social again. So thankful for everyone involved in her care!

This is a good facility. The employees that I have met are very nice, helpful and cheerful. I have 2 complaints. Smoking right next to the entrance and then I'm told there will also be smoking in the courtyard. So if a resident wants to walk in the courtyard and can't handle smoke, they cannot go out there or have to wait. I find it challenging coming and leaving the facility because I can't stand smoke and I don't want to smell like smoke and you have to walk through it to get in and out of the building. At most facilities the trash is changed daily but it is definitely not done daily here. Several times it's been 3 or 4 days. I got all three of mine finally my head's so shaking

My uncle had to go into assisted living we took him to Brookdale in Granger. What a wonderful choice we made we are so happy with the care that they give him and all the activities that he is involved in they keep him busy clean and well taken care of they feed them very good meals. My uncle is so content there he now calls Brookdale his home and he wants to live there the rest of his life he absolutely is thrilled that he doesn't have to be afraid to be alone anymore. And me myself who is his niece is so pleased with all the help I have gotten from the staff. They have made our life so much easier and worried free because we know our uncle is in good hands. So I would like to thank the whole staff of Brookdale for making my uncle comfortable in the last years of his life

I brought my Aunt to live at Brookdale and she was not doing well at all. Now 6 months later she has bloomed and has become part of the Brookdale community. She has made friends with staff and residents who live there as well. She is happy and she feels she is home. That makes my heart sing with gratitude for the facility and all the staff who have become family to her. I highly recommend Brookdale to anyone who has a need for a great assisted living situation.

There are a few employees who actually care about the residents and do the right thing. Administration is more worried about budget and do not schedule enough staff. They are very good about telling families what they want to hear to get their loved ones in and also when families bring up concerns. But they do not follow-through on promises made for better care. Nor do they hold all staff accountable to providing basic care for the residents.

"Does it make the patient happy and is it safe" is a complete fallacy. Do not fall for this often-used statement. The management has mastered the art of over promising and underdelivering in almost every area of the operation. We removed our family member after only two months in this facility. Response time to basic needs was severely lacking on a regular and consistent basis. The daily cleanliness of the main building and the patient rooms was substandard for a health care facility.

I would like to commend all the employers at Brookdale in Granger, IN. I was able to get to know the amazing staff and see first hand how capable, compassionate and caring they all are. They have a fantastic team put together with an exceptional team member Kurt Arkangel. He helped us through a very stressful time in our families life. He worked endlessly to be able to get our family member there and made the transition so effortless on our part. Kurt’s pleasant personality helped our loved one to be comfortable going there and took her fears away by explaining exactly what his facility offered. We are so grateful to Kurt, Tara, Kevin, Karen, Alan, Bernard, Jonnetta, Amy and all the hard workers at Brookdale. We appreciate your kind and caring personalities.Sincerely,Karen Rohen

My father resided at Brookdale in Granger for over 2 years. The employees have done an exceptional job of caring for him. Even though the past year with the Covid virus caused fewer face to face visits, my father at 103 years of age was a happy man. He recently passed away and all the employees from the executive director to the maintenance man gave him excellent service. Ed Mullis

My dad lived here for the last 2 1/2 years of his life. I wish I could say that they were happy years. The pandemic was extremely rough on him, as all of the residents were isolated from their families for nearly a year. Still, there were cases of COVID in the facility and my dad was one of them. He never fully recovered and ended up passing a couple months later. The communication was horrible. I didn't even learn that he was in hospice care for a full week; no one told me. Then he passed a few days later. The office manager only wanted money - she wanted me to try to gain access to my dad's bank account as he was near death and could not sign anything nor even speak to consent to anything. Literally every single person I spoke to after my dad's death... insurance company, credit card company, the VA, etc... expressed condolences. But no one at Brookdale did. Not one person. They only ever asked for money.

Staff at this Brookdale Granger facility have the best interest of residents at heart. They are doing a great job of providing activities with social distancing so residents don’t have to sit in their rooms all day. They encourage them to get out of their rooms as much can be allowed. They have also been kind enough to provide an iPad for my 100 y/o mother so I can FaceTime with her from my home in North Carolina. That means a LOT to both my mother and me and lessens her feeling of isolation. THANK YOU Brookdale Granger.
