Horrible, pathetic service. Piss poor service the worst! I am complaining to my my state rep and congressman both of who are personal associates. This organization is incredibly poorly run!

Have been dealing with Indiana Water Company in Gary, IN for yet the 4th week now. I initially wanted service turned on at my rental home last month. First Service man came out and swore the water was on. So having to call back another service man came out and called me while he was there and admitted that nothing had been done or turned on before. After this event the rest of our service calls have been from HELL. Once we turned on the main valve in the home water began leaking from their meter and the valve. Four calls and numerous apologies from customer service; NONE of the service men have been truthful about coming to fix our issue. They've lied on the times they have been there or calls that they've claimed to have made announcing their on the way. And the last time I can deal with them is due to yesterday's service appointment was set from 12:30PM until 3:00PM. My husband decided that he's be at the home and just do work around the place at noon and stay there until they come so this way they could not lie about coming. At about 2:30PM I called customer service and was told that someone came there at 10:15AM and then cut and pasted the same report from weeks before with a "No one home and no answer when called" report note. I am going above their heads on these workers. This is laziness on the part of the employees that obviously should find work elsewhere if they can not bother to service the people they were hired to help. After all our grief and very sincere sympathy from the customer service there on the phone, we found out that the serviceman had turn our water back off outside some time before and this is way he was not bothering to try to make a serious attempt to rectify our issues. My next step is to rectify this issue with the City Counsel and get my service on so that we may complete the work on our home. And also to have whoever that particular worker never be assigned to our property again.

If I could give zero stars or -0 stars, I would do that. Our family has been a customer of this company for over a half century. Yet they will send a termination notice for a $55.00. And that is just for starters. But I guess you can treat people like that when you have a monopoly. Terrible company. Terrible customer service.

Just like another review, I called and chose the callback option. At that time I was told I would not lose my place in line and would receive a callback in approximately 8 minutes.It's 2 hours later and haven't heard a word from them.My problem was trying to sign into their system to pay my bill, which I've done successfully for the last 2 years.After waiting 90 minutes with no callback, I called a different number I had saved from a previous conversation with them. Only waited about a minute and was connected with customer service. When I explained my problem, the lady immediately offered to take my payment over the phone. How nice of her, BUT I am aware they charge a service fee to take payments over the phone. I had to ask her if there was a fee and she confirmed that yes there would be an extra charge.It was only after I declined her generous offer that she addressed my problem connecting to their website. I will give her credit for finally fixing my connectivity problem.

After sitting on hold for about 15 min it asked you to leave name and number and you would not loose your place in line, so I did and expected a call within 15mins which would have been the rest of my wait time. Well its been over 24 hours still no call back- What happened to : Wont loose your place in line???? We the customers are paying there wages and if they can't do there job get rid of them-Need to hire a professional staff to help customers, not phone avoiders
