Thursday, August 11th 2022 in Crown Point, at about 11:50am this NIPSCO truck pulling a trailer with heavy machinery thought that pulling out in front of other vehicles was the pertinent thing to do. He came inches away from causing a multi car accident. NIPSCO has a bad enough reputation and this just adds to it. To have an employee with such a disregard for other human lives is an embarrassment.

Blatantly ignores customers calls. Our street is always losing power without reason while the other side of the street never does. One of the workers took a wire down behind our house and just left it dangling there. Whether it’s live or not it looks trashy. They are lazy lazy lazy. Why not just remove the cable instead of learning it hang down? Company is TRASH and they don’t care because they think what are you going to do about it.

Absolutely awful customer service. You try and call and talk about your account and you’re on hold for 45 minutes to 2 hours EVERY TIME. This isn’t just a one time issue. Its like they don’t want to have someone talk to you about your account and you just be in the dark.

NIPSCO is NIPSCO... High cost, but cheaper than some other power companies.

The negative reviews you read or hear about NIPSCO boils down to perception. Are their employees whom you disagreed with their service? Perhaps. That doesn’t justify as the companies fault. NiSource is a huge company with many divisions. I’ve worked for NIPSCO almost 20 years and have met a fraction of employees and they’re respective to me and my coworkers. All 5 stars are for the employees I’ve encountered I can’t necessarily give the company credit either.

On June 17th and 18th we had a short power outage that lasted about 3 to 4 hours. On each of those days the lights came back on but on June 20th After the Storm the lights went out at 11 p.m. and we're not reconnected until June 22nd at 1 a.m.. medication and food items had to be thrown away because they couldn't survive the heat. It seems as if we were the last ones to get out lights on in West Glen Park and that is sad. I wish there was another company in competition with NIPSCO that provided services!
