Owner is cool and I used to always get along well with all the workers too, but lately some of the hispanic workers (including the owner’s father) seem to have developed a grudge against me for some unknown reason. We used to have pleasant conversations in my limited spanish or their limited english, but now they try real hard to not even acknowledge my existence.”

“My car wouldn't pass emissions. There were no codes/engine lights. The cat monitor wouldn't complete. Because of this no shop wanted to be bothered with it. Mike's emissions let me drop my car off the same night. The next day they determined my catalytic converter was going bad. They put a new one on and after a week of driving the monitor cleared. This was an issue I've been dealing with almost a year. I'm very happy with their service!”

“True story, my car stopped working and I haven't had to look for a repair shop in years. I asked "Google what is the best mechanic shop in the Gary area?" Gas Monkey was one of the ones that came up. I read the reviews and was so impressed, I had my car towed to Gas Monkey. I was shocked to find that the business had the door open at least 15 minutes before opening. Allowing customers to line up in a warm area. Then what put the icing on the cake, while waiting, the same comments I read online were coming out of the mouths of the customers waiting with me for them to open. Comments like, they will only repair what needs to be repaired. Service is quick, efficient and
the pricing is honest. I checked my car in around 8:10 am and they repaired my alternator and my driver side headlight. I was picking my car up by 11:30 am. That was with the young lady telling me she may need just a little more time to get it done. I was totally blown away and pleasantly Impressed. So if you are looking to get your car repaired I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND GAS MONKEY! ???”
