I work with a bunch of guys from my church who volunteer and help with small repairs.I have been to this ace several times, and I'd rather drive to New Mexico than spend my own money with these awful soulless staff. They are just rude. I mean, very rude. Unhelpful and act like every time some ask for help is an inconvenience. We all volunteer and spend our own cash on these projects, so giving my money to lazy staff like this hurts.Again, it's not the first time seeing these horrible people purposely being rude. They were talking about an elderly lady. I just watched Mortified. Please drive to another hardware store. Please ?

I had the most bad experience today at Ace Hardware. I went in to get Windows cut?And I was told that I needed measurements. Which maybe true but at the same time I am disable. I couldn't get to a measurement tape . So by that, Been said, I took the windows 2 Ace Hardware to get cut and put in. Perhaps and I was told that . I need to measurements to the windows that I had in hand so I told the employee that I don't have a measuringtape. And he looked at me and told me that's not his fault. Which I didn't understand it was a black guy with a attitude so i walk away from him and laft and had to drive 25 miles to go get my windows repaired. I also got called names by the employee that was outside of Ace Hardware. When I mearly asked him a question. They need to practice better customer service. Because right now it's sucks severely.

My opinion is this, if you’re local and need salt to throw on your driveway, it’s close. If you need a water hose or some of those solar rechargeable batteries, it’s close. It’s perhaps the ONLY place in Gary you can get hard to find household needs without having to drive 20 mins or more outside the city to get. It’s one of the better run businesses the city has and people need to be thankful it’s even there. Support local businesses

The older black guy really helped in my search for vacuum filters. He showed me the Ace Hardware item number. Made my search much easier. He was great.

Always overpriced. Staff always touchy about helping. Have what you need. 10.50 for four keys cut, 8$ for fly catcher.

I go there for everything I need from my house. I got my mailbox from there, Caulk, tile sealant and wires for my new thermostat.

It's in a bad area, the store itself and being chained up is enough to let you know to get in and out fast. This was the only place I could find a chain I'd been searching for, I should have bought every one they had but I grabbed 1, paid and got out fast.
