This is a review that has been eating at me for close to a year but I feel it needs said. My husband and I adopted a Aussie puppy who had been at a pet store for a long time. He was half grown and about 4 months old and we wanted to rescue him from what could’ve been his forever cage. We got a second puppy which was a mini Aussie from a breeder 2 months after. The older Aussie had start to get aggressive towards my husband so we’d have to put him in his cage to cool down but as he never got aggressive towards me, we wanted to work on it. Our mini Aussie was nervous around him and still to this day is a super anxious pup and is scared of a lot of things so we have to be careful what we do around him. I soon became pregnant and the farther along I got, the older Aussie started to get aggressive towards me. It started with growling and snarling then he bit me and that is when we decided we could not put the stress on me as I was already a high risk pregnancy and very close to my due date and we could not risk him not being welcoming of our baby girl once it was time to bring her home. My husband worked so I was the one to come and surrender him. We tried to find a home ourselves but nobody would take him in. I came to this animal shelter sobbing because I was so heart broken. It is not a natural thing to rip a dog from the family. While the office staff was very nice and understanding the interview lady was absolutely disgusting towards me. As I was already crying she bashed me and wanted me to put a dog over my HUMAN child, which as a mother I would never put ANYTHING above her. She continued to twist my words and once his post came out, it was complete lies. They never put that he bit me, they lied and said the other dog was new to the family and never put my recommendation as to he needs a home which has a huge back yard like we did, someone who can cater to him and only him 24/7 and doesn’t have any plans of huge family or life changes. Instead we got bashed under their post for giving him up because we had just gotten a new puppy and that broke my heart considering that is NOT what happened at all. We tried and tried and tried to make it work for MONTHS and tried multiple different things. Now this dog has been adopted into a new family and they do not know the whole truth and I can only hope his behavior isn’t the same as he was with us or else they put them in danger. We loved this dog so much and spoiled him and took him to so many places with us. He was a good dog but would just randomly switch personalities if he didn’t like what we were saying.Beware of this place, they put animals over human life’s and lie in their descriptions so the new owners don’t know what they are getting into.

Would rather have a text for codes that are sent for verification. Currently, have to go to my email account and then back to my phone. Send the code to my phone, everything is right there and I do not have to switch back and gorth between my phone and my email and then back to my phone again.

I can't even try to rescue a dog because of their insane rules. I understand we need to give these animals a good life and an amazing life my next dog will have with me... but when you've already rescued a stray who had heartworms and had to get those clear before anything else and now he's too old to be neutered, I'm stuck going to a breeder. I don't even wanna hear it if these people complain about being too full.

Charged me $135 to pick up my dog even though I showed up within 15 minutes of being alerted by the microchip company. Paid $50 for shots that she already had. I checked Friday to see if they had her and was assured they would call right away since she is chipped. Somehow they "missed the chip" all weekend and charged me anyways. Apparently she was picked up two houses down. Not sure what they're doing with the money because it looks like she hasn't eaten anything since the day she went missing.

My mother took off work to go and see this kitten we were approved for, that being said, we were first there and we waited an hour to meet her, a kind employee told us somebody was interested in her and her sister as well, and showed us more kittens trying to change our mind, however My mother and I were very set on her, we waited 20 more minutes and another employee showed us the room, I could tell she was very uninterested in telling us about this kitten and didn’t show that she cared. When we heard we couldn’t take her home, my mother asked why, and she said, She’ll go to the best fit, and the best fit would be the person who can take 2, and it would be a different situation if they were bonded, but she said herself, they weren’t, so what makes me not a good fit, I treat my current cat as my child, she eats better than me, we’ve got a 7 ft. Cat tree, I don’t see why we couldn’t get her, I was very upset because we had also spend almost 300$ on items for her. Go somewhere that doesn’t break you’re heart.

Because it seems as though you do not get thanked enough.. I want to say thank you so much for my best friend and copilot, Koda. He is an incredible dog and without you doing what you do, I would not have him. A little update about him... He loves water (especially bath time) and playing tug, but his absolute favorite things are playing with s/o's dogs and cuddling after a long, hard day. His favorite treat is...well... Anything. Koda loves food.Anyway, thank you all so much for him and the many, many memories ahead.10/10 recommend this place. Very kind staff, clean facility. You can tell they genuinely care about every single animal there.

This place disrespected, my daughter and my wife over a cute little kitten, named Maury. They wasted my wife and my daughters time because they really wanted this kitten and throughout the process they were dealt with by a mean lady that waited until they were going to meet the kitten to tell her that someone else may want Maury as well. They chose to waste my wife’s time and break my daughters heart when they claim to be in the business of saving lives of the kittens. It should be first come first serve. They didn’t choose to do it that way, and I highly recommend everyone to go anywhere, but this place to get their pet because they may let you down as well.

The receptionist was very empathetic to my irratic crying when I arrived searching for my missing dog. I showed a picture of him, looked through the kennel and found my baby immediately. They even chipped him for me for a very small fee, which is automatic now, from what I can tell. Overall, they gave a great first impression. I wish people understood this is a service that is community driven and not majorly state funded, if at all, so I would love any info on donating to this shelter and volunteer possibilities.
