We adopted a beautiful lab last Thursday she is smart. This lab fetches, sits, shakes, loves to chase balls she is affectionate, loves sleeping in the bed with us. Someone lost a wonderful dog we adopted a great dog. Her name is Chuckie our new best friend. Thank you for letting us adopt her. Steve and Judi Williams

They are closed both weekend days? Seems like you would want to be open at least some time during the week when people are less likely to be working? Noon to 5, four days a week doesn't allow a lot of time for people to come in and adopt. Maybe the hours are wrong on the website?

Long story short our baby boy passed away "he was hit by a car and someone called them and we received a heart renching phone call and we came to identify our baby in March of 2023.. the "owner I believe" was AMAZING was so empathic and genuine cared and even got our baby cremated for us!
Fast forward to now about 2 months ago "so a year later" we came in to look into a new baby we chose 3 now the lady who "shows the dog who id assume approves if your a good fit" I absolutely DISGUSTING!! As we were doing a bit of chit chat and she rudely brought up "how were would correct unwanted behavior "as you have to fill out in ur application" me husband brought up he's was a dog handler in the military she instantly got Nasty and disrespectful with a smug look "judging a veteran for how they train and abuse their dogs when all trains are not the same" we were both PISSED to say the least nevertheless we swallowed our pride and took the disrespect and view 2 out of our 3 pics she refused to show us our 1st option as it looked identical to our puppy that passed also with the same shy and Insecure personality as ours did
Once we got into the visiting room with camera she magically change to a delightful person and when I made it clear who I wanted to see nicly her response was "ill get whos easier to catch" after the 5th time stating I wanted to see him my heart was broke and "ran out of time" we scheduled an other visit as I told a different lady at the dest "there was about 4 other sweet women behind the glass" I wanted to visit this specific puppy the same lady got a twisted face and said don't Wright it down we will find a good match to the other lady "who was doing what I requested" and basically ignored anything I said after that
I'm aware seeing a pet that looks like one that passed "could render someone judgement" but I would want what's best for him if he wasn't a good fit but at that point this disgusting lady had made up her mind we didn't need a pup like that all because my fiance was a retired military dog trainer and we would be abusive I cried for 3 days and I AM NOT SOMEONE WHO DOSE THAT and how disgusting & judgmental this woman was I even spoke to the owner before all this happend and recognized us after I left in tears a few days later I called and left a voice mail asking to speak to the owner and that the lady showing the dog was hateful and extremely rude and I never got a call back everyone was sweet & kids but the lady who shows the animals good luck getting a pet from here!! It's 230am and my heart is thinking about the pup and how bad I wish it could of turned out differently and was atleast givin a chance with him he needed alot of work with anxiety the theam here is if u can take more then 1 ull get them over anyone looking for just 1 pet
If the owner or manager can reach back to be even tho it's been a bit with no returnd contact back I would like to speak to her personally about this woman AND MAYBE try again with A DIFFERENT PERSON the fact I even let ne and my fiancé take that kind of disrespect is way out of character on top of purposely not seeing the main requested pup I'd appreciate if my comment is not left with a passive aggressive message giving excuses or "reasons" for this woman's behavior! Or the fact we had a personal interest in the pup givin we and our environment is suitable for this type of pup
We ruled the other 2 out because 1 nip at me for running "my kids run from time to time I was testing the waters and the second was very high strung we are used to and comfortable with a more quite shy pup even if it was a different dog with the same issues she judge us the moment she was Givin a chance

Great service! Had a stray come on our property called animal control. The women on the phone was very nice! The officer came out within 10 min to pick up the pup, he was extremely friendly as well. They seemed happy to do their job and not inconvenienced at all.

I lost my dog to pancreatic cancer a little over a month ago and wanted to see and pet the dogs because I'm interested in adopting again. However, you are instructed to look through a binder of pictures of adoptable dogs then, if there's one you "like," you have to fill out an application to be considered to meet the dog. Seems to me we should be able to at least look at the dog by visiting them and meeting them before completing an adoption application. I'm saying this coming from someone who has adopted and loved.

They make it an act of God to adopt. I understand now why people just go to other people to get kittens. Such a shame for the poor animals.

This is a review that has been eating at me for close to a year but I feel it needs said. My husband and I adopted a Aussie puppy who had been at a pet store for a long time. He was half grown and about 4 months old and we wanted to rescue him from what could’ve been his forever cage. We got a second puppy which was a mini Aussie from a breeder 2 months after. The older Aussie had start to get aggressive towards my husband so we’d have to put him in his cage to cool down but as he never got aggressive towards me, we wanted to work on it. Our mini Aussie was nervous around him and still to this day is a super anxious pup and is scared of a lot of things so we have to be careful what we do around him. I soon became pregnant and the farther along I got, the older Aussie started to get aggressive towards me. It started with growling and snarling then he bit me and that is when we decided we could not put the stress on me as I was already a high risk pregnancy and very close to my due date and we could not risk him not being welcoming of our baby girl once it was time to bring her home. My husband worked so I was the one to come and surrender him. We tried to find a home ourselves but nobody would take him in. I came to this animal shelter sobbing because I was so heart broken. It is not a natural thing to rip a dog from the family. While the office staff was very nice and understanding the interview lady was absolutely disgusting towards me. As I was already crying she bashed me and wanted me to put a dog over my HUMAN child, which as a mother I would never put ANYTHING above her. She continued to twist my words and once his post came out, it was complete lies. They never put that he bit me, they lied and said the other dog was new to the family and never put my recommendation as to he needs a home which has a huge back yard like we did, someone who can cater to him and only him 24/7 and doesn’t have any plans of huge family or life changes. Instead we got bashed under their post for giving him up because we had just gotten a new puppy and that broke my heart considering that is NOT what happened at all. We tried and tried and tried to make it work for MONTHS and tried multiple different things. Now this dog has been adopted into a new family and they do not know the whole truth and I can only hope his behavior isn’t the same as he was with us or else they put them in danger. We loved this dog so much and spoiled him and took him to so many places with us. He was a good dog but would just randomly switch personalities if he didn’t like what we were saying.Beware of this place, they put animals over human life’s and lie in their descriptions so the new owners don’t know what they are getting into.

Would rather have a text for codes that are sent for verification. Currently, have to go to my email account and then back to my phone. Send the code to my phone, everything is right there and I do not have to switch back and gorth between my phone and my email and then back to my phone again.

I can't even try to rescue a dog because of their insane rules. I understand we need to give these animals a good life and an amazing life my next dog will have with me... but when you've already rescued a stray who had heartworms and had to get those clear before anything else and now he's too old to be neutered, I'm stuck going to a breeder. I don't even wanna hear it if these people complain about being too full.

Charged me $135 to pick up my dog even though I showed up within 15 minutes of being alerted by the microchip company. Paid $50 for shots that she already had. I checked Friday to see if they had her and was assured they would call right away since she is chipped. Somehow they "missed the chip" all weekend and charged me anyways. Apparently she was picked up two houses down. Not sure what they're doing with the money because it looks like she hasn't eaten anything since the day she went missing.
