Denver's Garage Pizza and Brews
110 E Broadway St, FortvilleThe Fortvillian pizza was easily one of the best pizzas i have ever had. The rest of the menu is awesome but even that pizza alone makes going to Denver's Garage a worthwhile place to eat at. 10/10 would tell others about this place!

Scooter's Coffee
709 W Broadway St, FortvilleI was in the Fortville area today when I spied this new addition to the U.S 36/67 corridor which becomes Broadway Street as you enter Fortville, a northeast suburb just inside Hancock County. I believe Scooter's is fairly new to the Indiana market, though there's an indication on their website that an Indy location is soon to be. Scooter's was started in Bellevue, Nebraska in 1998 by Don and Linda Eckles. It started out as Scooter's Java Express. Now, there are around 800 locations in 29 states. Scooter's is the second-largest drive-thru coffeehouse in the nation and fifth largest coffee chain. All Scooter's drinks can be ordered hot, iced, or blended. In February of this year, they actually opened a Whitestown distribution center designed to serve 300 of their locations. So, there's clearly a strong Indiana commitment. Scooter's has hot drinks, iced drinks, smoothies, food items, options for the kids, limited time specials, and even dollar delights. I ordered an energy infusion, which seems to be an option catching on in coffeehouses, with blue raspberry flavoring. My large drink was $7+, a tad high in my book but on par with most other coffeehouses including a certain other chain that recently started offering the option. I will also note that some of the other prices were quite good and I love that they offer a $1 option. Getting into this location is best done directly off of Broadway. I actually didn't notice it right away and tried to access it via a back entrance, however, there's a lot of road construction currently and I had difficulty doing so. There's also a gas station going in directly next door. The employee working the drive-thru was friendly, though perhaps a touch slow. The drink itself was satisfying and I would easily return if in the area. I did not try any of the food options, though looking at the menu I was incredibly surprised by the lengthy list. Scooter's also has retail options including K-cups. However, a search of their website's retail locations didn't reveal anything close. I am somewhat assuming it's available from the actual store, however, I'm not sure of that. This location also does offer a nitro cold brew - not available at all Scooter's locations. As I noted, this is a drive-thru location. Don't expect to dine-in, however, for a quick "scoot in, scoot out" this is a pretty fantastic option and great addition to Fortville. If I could, I'd likely go 4.5 stars as I'd like to see a bit of improvement in terms of speed and attentiveness. However, the overall experience was positive enough that I'm skewing upward and going with the 5-star review.

Watsons Kennels
2599 W 925N, FortvilleWe appreciate Watson's Kennels so much. Our dog is old and the bigger, commercial places stress him out. He gets such great care at Watson's and comes home healthy and not completely wiped out. The owners really care about their boarders!
