it was pretty good, very cute puppies. A little messy. Would go again 100% but maybe not buy my animals there.

We bought 4 fish from here and 3 out of the 4 are dead already within a week of buying them. I have a 60 gal aquarium and they were fed and it was well taken care of. Very disappointed.

Stopped by today, looking for a single fish. Walked around for 15-20 minutes, observing the nastiest tanks I had ever seen. Most of which you could hardly see into. Water all over many places of the floor. Not a single employee greeted me, or asked if I needed assistance. The ONE employee working the aquariums, didn't even acknowledge I was there, as he and a customer talked, using very vulgar language. I expected better from a pet store charging $50+ for a fish, and several thousand for the other animals they have there. I will not be returning.

Very helpful staff..Once you get their attention. I was disappointed to see multiple ball pythons in one enclosure which had minimal hides. Besides that the animals look healthy and well cared for.

This won't be a good review. I was there yesterday and even though they had lots of dogs a few cats to see, they all were in bad shape. I took one dog out to play with and it smelled so bad I had to put it back. The dogs all looked so sad and depressed. I even saw some shaking. They want high dollar for the dogs and cats but they seem to neglect them. Don't take my word for it you'll see it when you show up there. I have noticed this pattern with their other stores also. The animals are not taken care of it seems. The animal shelter's do a better job. I felt bad seeing and smelling these poor animals with high price tags over there heads stuck in small enclosures. This is a pattern for these stores. Feel sorry for them. Wish I could save them all. Got a response from Uncle Bill's about my review, disappointed because I feel nothing will change. I have no idea why they wouldn't. This is a pattern with the Uncle Bill's I've been in. Your worst inmates are treated better. They get bathes and have fresh air. Bigger cells. The prices they have on these pets are staggering. My wife was told how much a puppy was and she almost fell over. These pets are starving for attention, are in need of care. Not getting it there for sure. Some of you have been at Uncle Bill's you know what I'm saying is spot on and the ones who haven't should go and check it out. It's sad. Next time I'll take pics of it all. One of the girls told me the pets are just tired is why you get no response from them. I believe it's because they are weak and depressed.

There is no good reason to charge $3200 for a cat. My family and I visited the store on a whim last Saturday. We (especially my boyfriend) fell in love with little Flash. I remember coming to Uncle Bills as a little girl to look for a puppy with my parents, but we didn't get one as the place requires credit checks (odd) in order to "adopt" (purchase) a puppy. Based on that experience, I had joked to my boyfriend that the cat was probably $600 (normally, people don't charge for cats, PERIOD, as they're considered an invasive species - there's too many of them). He laughed, but we felt really bad seeing that cute little grump old man cat sitting in that tiny, tiny cage. My boyfriend and I are both, on our own, financially stable. I'm a purchasing agent and he works in IT security. We wanted to take that little man home so bad and give him so much love. So filled with regret, as we drove away, I called to find out just how we could go about purchasing (rescuing) little Flash. To my surprise the associate on the phone informed us that they were asking $3200 and required a credit check (seriously). Maybe if you're asking THAT much for a cat, you should provide them with a better home. We already felt crazy to potentially drop $600 on a cat, hearing that they wanted the price of a few new teeth nearly knocked the wind out of me. I really hope that the employees are allowed to play with those cuties as much as they want.. My boyfriend posed the idea that they meet their sales goal by selling one puppy a week - my question is, what happens to all of the sweeties that don't get adopted??? Shelter? Euthanasia? There is no way they're selling all of those animals in Fort Wayne for that much money. There are wayyyy too many animals in need of adoption at shelters now to justify giving $3200 to a place like this. Likewise, I've heard many instances of the animals here being very sick. That is very likely given the conditions they're kept in. It's insane to see animals being sold for so much money, when they'd be given WAY better treatment at a shelter and have a WAY higher chance of finding a home. I hope that Uncle Bills doesn't justify the price using the breed of an animal or the fact they come from "reputable breeders". What kind of person would leave their certified dog/cat in these conditions? That doesn't make sense..Sad.I will give 2 stars though, as their selection for supplies is pretty good.

Very very friendly employees - we are not able to have a puppy or dog - nice thing about this place we were able to take some of the puppies out. We asked which ones hadn't been out - those were the one we asked to interact with. Thumbs up for letting us visit with the puppies

Waited 45 minutes for help while 2 employees were explaining the same thing to 1 customer. Finally got help but had possibly the worst experience with that employee. On top of that we were talked to like we were children even though we established we have tons of experience with said animal. Will not be returning after today's visit

I specifically asked if they had female and male guppies. They said yes started packaging up to them and I got to the register and found out they weren't and they were going to let me check out with them.

This place is disgusting! Puppy mill pups stuck inside hot glass front boxes barely big enough for them to turn around. Thirty parakeets stuck in one cage all with their eyes closed and wobbling around. The fish tanks were milky and disgusting. Gross the entire place should be shut down.

Very disappointed. No mention of having to be 18 and older to buy a simple beta fish on their website. Location was dirty and very unfriendly if not buying anything!

One of the biggest pet stores I’ve been to and the most variety of pets I’ve ever seen. They everything from tarantulas, fish, reptiles, to cats, dogs, ferrets, hedgehogs, rabbits and more! All of the employees were so helpful and even loved showing pictures of their pets and educating me on certain questions I had about species I know little about. If you’re in Fort Wayne, you should make a stop

I purchased my betta fish from this location. The staff is very helpful and able to answer any questions I may have. They take good care of their bettas compared to Petsmart, Meijer and Petco. Every time I look they have a very good selection of all the fish. The prices are cheap as well (around $10 for a male betta). I have never had a problem with any fish purchases and would strongly recommend adopting a fish from here!

Has a huge selection of fish. Was impressed with this store. Clean and the animals looked well taken care of. Pretty young staff, so that’s refreshing to see. Lots of neat fish tank setups too. Someone knows what they are doing.

I just wanted to get on here and say how appreciate I am to the Uncle Bills staff in Fort Wayne! They are knowledgeable, kind, and attentive. They give advice based on needs even if it leads to me not buying anything. Got a referral to a vet clinic open on Saturdays! I’m there at least 1-3 times a month. Great job!
