Wow... just wow. I walked into the paint department to get a paint chip color matched, and the young (20 something) woman there made it obvious she wasn't looking to do any extra today. She asked what KIND of paint I wanted (exterior flat to touch up wooden steps). She then proceeded to tell me you're not SUPPOSED to paint wood; only stain. Honey... if I wanted your opinion, I'd have ASKED. My entire house has painted wood: I'm not looking for a year long project, I just want to touch it up. Finally, I walked away. I won't be frequenting Menards anymore after THIS interaction. Do better with your employees, Menards.

One star is probably too many. Sure they have what you need and prices are great. But what the hell happened to customer service? My mom and I stood waiting for an associate to come answer some questions AFTER I had to walk half way across the store to find an associate to ask for help. After 10 mins we left. Mom sees an associate and asks him if he could help us with the garage doors all I saw was him pointing to where we could find someone to help. So my question is what happened to customer service ???

I find cheap stuffs here for home improvements. Nuff said. I usually can find something that fits what i need. When they have sales, they make sure to stock the item. Wow!

The cashier on 5/29 during evening hours was extremely rude! I would never shop here again due to my interaction with this hasty woman. Even made comments regarding my appearance! So low!

The store is very clean. The employees are very friendly and helpful. You can find almost anything in the store.

I ordered twelve (12) 6x6x10' treated lumber online for delivery. The online form said "delivery as soon as 5/23". I chose 5/23 on the calendar and thought that would be the delivery date. When I was called on 5/22 and told that the soonest delivery available would be 5/28 I was very surprised. I had already scheduled people to be here 5/25 to help me install the lumber. The Menards employee I spoke to was very understanding and said this was not the first time she had a customer surprised and angered by the disconnect between the website and reality. She was very helpful and was able to get a delivery on 5/24. Not what I originally asked for, but more reasonable.
Menards corporate - Change your website. The current website is misleading and causing your employees to break surprisingly bad news to your customers. The only reason this is a 2-star review instead of a 1-star review is because your employee was there to fix your corporate level problem. If she had not been able to help with an earlier delivery date, I would have cancelled my order, gone to Lowes and found a way to pick it up myself. Fix your website and thank your employee.

The delivery department at the Fort Wayne West store is confused, disorganized, does not listen, and seemingly overwhelmed. The phone system to get to them to set up a delivery is equally as bad. I spoke to supposedly 2 “managers” who also fit the above description. Customer service is lacking. I spent over $2,000 and would expect a better and much smoother set up. They were also to call me when the product arrived at the store to schedule the delivery and they did not. I had to call them and just getting to them and having someone take care of my delivery in the delivery department was like an episode of Survivor. I would recommend NOT! The day of in store purchase 2 people in the delivery department acted like they could not handle the set up and finally someone stepped in to actually do it. She was quite good but feeling like you are putting people out or they are not trained to do their job or confident before she stepped in is just not customer oriented and is off putting after making a large purchase. Again, I would just say no!

If you ordered online, ensure that you got everything before leaving or accepting. Items were missing on my order. Very difficult to reach out on the phone to that department since everyone is busy loading/unloading. However, I was able to contact someone in management who was able to locate items and arranged to drop off at my residence. Great way to fix the problem. Thanks

Over and beyond Jonathan the woman who was working in the front where the strip light etc. another man dark hair works maybe in the same department as Jonathan AWESOME ?? they were great I’m so appreciative also my son said the guy with the dark hair “he’s so nice” thank you guys so much!

Menards on Illinois Rd is a great place to shop. The management is outstanding!
