This daycare is just amazing. The director and the staff do a great job each and every day. My kids are always greeted with a smile and a warm welcome each morning when we first drop them off. My kids had a little bit of difficulty getting settled in when they first started but the teachers did an amazing job making them feel comfortable. I have seen such growth in both of my children and I couldn't be happier that they go here. Keep up the great work all of you!!!!!!

I have been so impressed with the new director Ms. Tunisia. She transformed the program, and ensured all the teachers share her vision of compassion, consistency, and learning. My daughter loves her teacher, Ms. Sammi, and is excited to tell me about what she’s learning every day. I am so happy with La Petite and the direction it’s heading in 2023 and beyond!

The director at this place is horrible !! I bieleve her name is Ms tanisha.I was not allowed to drop my kid off until I paid an already paid daycare fee. Then after I paid 2xs they said they issued a refund which I never received! I called multiple times with no calls back!!!! I addressed this with the daycare director and she only said why am I getting angry with her she not getting angry with me?!?! Then she told me it’s out of her hands. Lol and referred me to corporate which is fine but she never called me back I had to call 3xs to receive this information. They also had a “water day” where they got my sons brand new shoes soaking wet bcuz he was not allowed to wear crocs and did not send any info home about this (I called the director and she said she did then I double checked the messages received on that parent app and there was no info on water day or anything about wearing crocs only that my son told me he was not allowed to wear them, anyways he was sitting it wet shoes ALLL DAY had blisters on his feet. And they said sorry they should have put them in the dryer? (How can you put tennis shoes in the dryer without ruining them?) after I called the daycare and complain they had a new excuse and said that he shouldn’t of gone out without water gear. I did call corporate about this situation and received no calls back. My sister also send her daughter and son here where they lost a northface coat for her son and shoes for her daughter. She literally picked her up in no shoes me My other 2 kids go to a level 3 daycare they are 1 and 2 and la petite offers daycare for school age children which is why they are at separate daycares carepoint academy . A daycare which is rated level 3. La petite is rated label 4. Carepoint academy is much more professional and cheaper. I have never had this type of experience with a daycare.had horrible experience. Do not send your kids here

La Petite brought in an AMAZING new director, Ms. Tunisia, in 2023 who has completely transformed the school. She hired and nurtured teachers who understand the importance of consistency and structured learning. She also listens to parents and helps build an environment that fits the needs of your kids (we had a rough patch, and she, along with the teachers helped us through it!).If you want a preschool where your children are engaged, learning, happy, and excited to go to school every day, La Petite is the place to be! With these changes, my daughter has come out of her shell, and is excited to tell me about what she's learning in Ms. Sammi's class (also, my daughter's convinced Ms. Sammi's a princess and I have no reason to disagree!).The "new" La Petite is very much worth a visit!

I had to file numerous reports with the state of Indiana due to my child consistently coming home in the same diaper I sent him to school in. I also witnessed several instances on camera where caregivers mishandled and, at times, even mistreated children. It's been a year since I initially raised my concerns, yet no one has reached out to offer an apology or take any corrective actions. This daycare seems to prioritize business over genuine care.

My daughter attended LaPetite beginning in 2020 and her last day was today. There have been a lot of ups and downs over the years, but the school has a lot going for them. They have several dedicated teachers that have been there through difficult times and currently this is the calmest and most organized I’ve seen this daycare/school. I think there Pre-K room is finally on the right track and this years kids will be well prepared for Kindergarten. Their Admin also knows what she is doing and has kept things running efficiently. They have a lot of perks that most daycares do not have. They have an app SproutAbout and parent camera access, which I’ve called around and only know of two other daycares in Fort Wayne that have this. Therefore, you receive updates all day long and can check on your kids all day long. They are also trained to deal with children’s emotional behaviors (aka temper tantrums) better than most daycares. There are daycares that do not tolerate any sort of behaviors and I appreciate that LaPetite understands that they are children.I think LaPetite has had some fair and unfair criticism over past few years. I think they are on the right track. If you do have an issue that has not been resolved, they have a chain of command. Don’t hesitate to use it. There Regional Directors do respond. In conclusion, the environment is homely and reminds you of your childhood. My daughter had a good summer there and I wish them the best !!!

I WITNESSED A TEACHER PHYSICALLY GRAB A CHILD AN FORCE THEM ONTO A NAP MAT!I was there for a tour and left after 5 mins. I couldn't hear the assistant director over the sound of the teachers screaming “lay down now” followed by placing their hands on a child. There is no way in hell I would give my child to people like this. To them it’s just a job but to me that’s my whole world….

Sarah Scott. Awful manager zero people skills. She favors the Caucasian community over the African American community. She only holds the Caucasian kids never the African American ones. The staff are un happy and theirs always new staff. With this cold and flu season here the staff are made to come to work and told to take medication and come in sick. Thus explaining why the chain of infection never stop. Sarah is condescending and rude she writes rude letters to staff and leave on the front desk for all people to see including parents. She leave work everyday to pick up her children and bring them to work but have zero compassion towards other staff to have to make a way for their kids. It will do you no good to reach out to higher ups they support Sarah. This situation needs a God intervention. If you are of the African American community your kids will get ignored by her. If you want to work here and you are African American don’t expect her support. Seems like internal self hate because she herself is African American. She is very wishy washy she will speak to you one day and ignore you the next. No one likes her at the daycare she is tolerated because she’s the director. The staff are holding it together under such harsh circumstances and there’s always a new batch of staff. Also the fees will always come this daycare is greedy they will have new & expensive charges and for you left and right out of nowhere even if you are on the CCDF program. My recommendation is for Sarah to leave and go do something else this is not it. The internal battle inside of her is evident! (Edited) The daycare close on short notice often so please make sure you have a back up plan for your kids or your job will be in jeopardy!

Terrible director. Very unsanitary and unsafe space for kids. The gates outside dividing the playground from each other and outside are broken so kids can pass through. Not enough food, milk or diapers for the kids and at times no wipes. No formula for months. Tuition always going higher for no reason. Don't recommend to anyone. Go ANYWHERE else. Staff has put their hands on kids and left my infant son crying in a crib for hours! Also he had an unexplained bruise on his hand that no one would ever answer me about . Sarah is the worst director. I wish Shelby was back.

My 1 year old went to this place only for a few days. Babies are left to cry and self soothe as certain workers pick their more favored child to rock or feed a crying baby. I saw it first hand on their online video. Then I caught them lying saying the baby just “woke up” as I watched them pull my crying baby from the crib. He was left there over an hour crying and never took a nap. It’s sad how these daycare centers have no empathy for these children. Keep looking, this place is a joke!

If I could give zero stars, I would. This was our first foray into day care and my worst fears about being a working parent happened. From the get go things seemed fine, the Director was communicative and the virtual tour was fine. However, day one was horrendous. The center is not new which is fine, the workers are varying levels of engaged. Cleanliness is questionable... Concerns noted for some cooking equipment that was being blocked by a cart, chemicals in reach of kids, but then watching the cameras: the way they workers are swapped out and inconsistent treatment of children. My maternal senses knew something was off by the way my children were acting. Husband picked up our little guy who was off camera in a bathroom with a staff member. Son was screaming in pain. Came home to find markings on his back. Daughter had witnessed mistreatment (also advocated for her own mistreatment!) Case filed, did not return. Be aware.

High turnover. Children get lost in the transitions between new staff and constantly changing classrooms. Very poor communication. We attended from infancy to Pre-K. We used to love it here, but with all of the turnovers, lack of communication, and complete disregard for therapy plans.... it has changed my mind drastically in the last year and a half.

Love the care and attention they give to my daughter. How she smiles at everyone who speaks to her shows the attention they give her.

We love La Petite Academy! The Director is amazing, she bought so much creativity and new fun activities for the kids. I really appreciate the parents night out each month. I love the care and attention from the stuff. My daughter is learning so much every day. I am happy the kids get a lot of outside play all year around. Highly recommended!
