I wouldn't even give them a star but had no choice. I was sent there from a place in warsaw where I was sold a vehicle that was trash I guess to begin with 5 months later I had to park it due to several issues. I was finally able to get it in the shop there and they tell me my transmission is going out and they are sending me to Jess Lewis. They swore up and down I had no transmission issues that it was 02 sensors. They send me a link for a bill to sign and agree to start work. I signed it and took a screen shot. 2 weeks later I asked them to send me a copy of it and the parts and total amount was different so I went through all my stuff and asked why and sent them both copies they had no answers for me. I pick up my vehicle 1600 and my tire is flat they refused to air it up telling me to take it to the gas station a block up, so we did and as my fiance is airing the tire up it blows in his face. I call them they won't even give me a used one to drive from fort wayne to warsaw and I had 2 of my children with me. We had to find a tire shop buy a tire we didn't even make it out of fort wayne before it started over heating. Had to park it at a hobby lobby and pay 210 bucks to tow it home. I couldn't drive it for a couple of months due to needing a water pump and two new back tires. They never told me I had a busted motor mount. So 2 weeks ago I finally get it up and going and day 2 my transmission starts slipping. They checked and serviced the transmission they say but why was my transmission fluid bone dry. There's not any signs of new parts it's none of the service lights were reset, and the vehicle is doing the exact same thing it was doing when it was dropped off. The fact that they changed my invoice on me was my first red flag and if I had the money to have it towed and picked up from them at that point I would have. I would never recommend then to anyone! While inwas there picking up my vehicle 2 people ended up walking out of their shop because they had stood up there for so long waiting for someone to come up front and help them. I have 9k wrapped into a vehicle I was promised to be a great car no issues I have 4 children and couldn't even let anyone them ride in this after 3 months of buying it due to being so scared it would stall in middle of the road and get us hit. Jess Lewis promised to take care of us and fix the problem and promised us there was no issue
Just remember I have text messages and screen shots of the original invoice I signed to authorize repairs, and then 2 weeks later you added hundreds of dollars to it when I asked for a copy. That was far before the car was picked up or storage was charged. As soon as I got it home 15 codes all 02 sensors, fuel pump control module, 3 transmission codes, spark plug codes, and I'd be very interested in knowing what this part is you said you replaced and how if my car sat for months did u all the sudden find a new issue with it that u just happened to fix? Spark plugs were never changed either bc they were literally just changed an hr ago. But of course an owner will never admit to a mistake or wrong doing. You just took advantage of a single mother of 4. I appreciate you working with me on the storage I guess that could be ur star but had you not added hundreds of dollars to my invoice a couple weeks later I wouldn't have had to wait so long to come up with the rest of the money. It boils down to the warranty about to expire and no one wanted to foot that even though thats what I paid for it for. but keep lying and screwing people over atleast ur pockets are lined and u can sleep at night, I'm lucky to not miss a day of work a week bc my car still doesn't run and is throwing all the exact same codes and issues as the day I dropped it off. And love your account of ur attendant who never ever offered to air it up or let us drive it to u to air up, AT ALL. Not like it matters you clearly have no problem taking advantage of someone. Any issues I’ve had, they’ve always been more than willing to address them. Always polite and would recommend anyone to take bring their car here to address engine and transmission problems.

My transmission was slipping and I knew that I needed a rebuild. After calling around to the top transmission places I found Jess Lewis to be the most reasonable price and could get it done in a reasonable time. I took it there and I am glad that I did. The price and time of getting it done was right on point and the van ran great. I never had issues with it again. They also do all our other car repairs. Had family members get brakes and radiator work done there as well. I even have my oil changed there perfect location close to down town. I like dropping it off and walking around down town and by the time I get back my car is ready to go. Jess Lewis is definitely the only place I'll take my car.

Highly disappointed with the service and customer service provided. This location was recommended by a few people so I brought my car for a diagnosis and was told by their mechanic I needed to have the transmission rebuilt. They had my car for about two weeks and then received a payment of about $3740 and my car still isn’t operating the way it should be after paying $3740; it actually feels worse AND my A/C wasn’t working. When I picked it up I was told “it’s like a baby walking so everything has to wake up but drive normal till I reach 300miles”. The first week it broke down about 45mins from home and wouldn’t accelerate past 15mph; and I was only at 256 miles. I returned it the following Monday and my car wasn’t looked at until that THURSDAY. I was then advised I might need to bring it back a few times for reprogramming but I could take it and test drive it myself. I called a couple days later and let them know the issue is still there and was then advised I needed a transmission computer module and NOW they want $470 to repair THAT saying it’s a different issue which I feel should’ve been included when they did the transmission repair especially since the car hasn’t worked properly even after receiving $3740 for repairs. I’m highly disappointed because for all that i could’ve got a new car instead of driving a vehicle that isn’t fully operable for me and my three children. I used my last for repairs and lost my job waiting 4 days for my car to be looked at and reset after I had just paid $3740. I don’t recommend! They were to paid to provide a diagnostic, repair the issue and provide resolution and instead I am now left without a vehicle!
After reading responses to other reviews the owner is a complete rude and Arrogant A-hole. He clearly can’t admit fault and is more concerned about the money than the value of his work and company reputation.
