Only had one vehicle to choose from which was the most expensive option they had. Was forced to pay too much and had to Google how to operate the features the car offered.

Place is terrible. I rented a car online thru their app and showed up but they had no cars to rent. Said they would call me when one showed up in a hour or so. No call so I showed back up 2 hours later and still no car. Now that we need a car for the weekend and they strung me alone saying a car will be here, I can’t rent from another company on Friday because it’s too late in the evening. Terrible service and why are they not open on Saturday? Must be the way they make you rent extra days. May be the cheapest place to rent but I will never go back to hertz in Fort Wayne and either should you.

The manager Dom is very helpful , knows what he is doing and I will be coming back just because of him I recommend this company if you need to rent a car they are 10/10 no complaints!

The new manager at this hertz location is doing a fantastic job of getting this store operating well again. I went in fully expecting a less than good experience, but I was pleasantly surprised. He made sure I had everything I needed, and went above and beyond to make sure my experience was a good one. A good manager makes all the difference. The employees were very helpful as well.

Horrible customer service, very very slow with no sense of urgency, more worried about what is on their phones…office is dirty. Just plain bad.

this company deserves 0 stars.They were extremely unprofessional. They do not walk you through any of the process. They go and check the car without you, hand you the keys and send you on your way. The first car they handed me was lit up like a Christmas tree and needed maintenance done to it for it to be drivable. I had to ask them to show me the car I would be using so that I went to the right one. They also gave me the car with little gas in the tank so I had to go and fill it up before doing anything else.The store looks messy. It is also impossible to get a hold of anyone as my rental was done through insurance and I had to speak with them to extend it. They did not return voicemails that I left. I would not recommend them at all and would say to use a company like Enterprise instead.

Staff was easy to work with. Car was clean and ran without problems. A little bit longer of a wait in returning car the picking up the car. No drop off service.

I usually ignore reviews because I want to go to the place. This Hertz was one of those times. But I do not recommend you ignoring all the bad reviews! They had a sign taped to the door, on it written CLOSED. But it was during their posted business hours. I had paid for my car and when I went to get it, I found this! I had planned an out of state trip and whoever left their office, had the power to potentially ruin everything. They just don’t care! And the time before, the clerk didn’t even look my car over when I dropped it off. Then she never even checked it back in as returned! After being charged for two weeks and a letter telling me to return the car, when I already had, I had to spend a lengthy amount of time on the phone with these ppl to get them to fix THAT! They are utterly incompetent and couldn’t care less. I went to Enterprise and thankfully was able to get a vehicle, and the salesperson there said I was the third angry customer that came over that day. Do yourself a favor and skip using this awful business. There’s no reason for this other than they don’t care!

I should have listened to the reviews. Car stinks like vape. Gas tank is only 1/2 full but they charge for full tank gas. No one answers their phone. I will not be renting from Hertz again.

I needed a car to travel around FT Wayne for a convention. I was a little nervous about all the bad reviews I had seen. The staff was friendly and the rental process was smooth and easy. I got to talk to the new manager while I was being dropped off after the rental was done and it's turns out that there was a complete staff change a couple of months ago. I would gladly rent from the search again it was an overall very good experience.

Shouldn't even give this 1 star. They just gave me a car that I couldn't see anyplace I had just driven because of the pollution from the exhaust. They don't have an other car to replace it with. I have to go back to the airport and rent from a different company. I will have to pay a lot more. As specially I bought independent insurance that is worthless now. This company shouldn't be in business.

This place needs shut down. The employee cancelled the same day on my reservation forcing me into a scramble to find another vehicle. Making matters worse, she was laughing as she told me. Save your time and money by not booking through Hertz.

This is a sorry excuse for a business. Made online reservation in April. You'd think someone would have realized that our reservation wasn't going to be filled... and called us, but no. Will never recommend this location or company! They say they have Saturday hours, but don't.

The only midsize suv there for rebar was a 2020 Chevy equinox that was Filthy on the outside and was smelly and dirty in the inside. When the teenager showed us the rental, she said "here it is...uhh do you want me to wash it??" And "the only two marks on it we already know about" she never took us for an official walk around to discuss blemishes. Ran it through the "car wash" which did NOTHING! There was a nasty smell coming from the vehicle as to cover up the smoke smell. I asked if there was something else the same size we could rent bc I was not having it and she just looked at the other teenager working and said nope. This place is a disgrace! I have worked for car rental/sales companies before and ITS NO WONDER HERTZ HAD TO FILE BANKRUPTCY!!! There was pink and black hair everywhere in the car, I have brown hair and when I brought it home to wash and vacuum, there was Pet Hair all over in the car. This was disgusting and now we have no other choice but to drive this POS for 24 hours of our vacation! Never again trash Hertz! Makes me sick that you're in business! How is that even possible. I'd walk to Florida before renting here again. What trash in Fort Wayne
