“They were great!! They bench tested a old radio which ended up working, unfortunately the stupid untena wire was Brittle and broke so I paid for a new radio and new speakers too. They did a great job! I appreciate that they tried to fix my old radio, but the wire was too short to fix. I highly recommend going there. They also have lots of tools, chemicals, and definitely plenty of speakers ,radios, other electronic equipment that you might want to have a loud, quality sound system. Thanks guys keep doing what you are doing!!”

“I never used to use the hardware store so much but then Brian took over. Ever since I seen there was a new manager, he has bent over backwards to help Heidelberg materials. He even stocks things they don't usually have to help us out in case of emergencies. We have had an emergency and Brian was more than happy to open the doors after hours to help us. All of the associates treat me and the other customers like family , it is really appreciated. They are very helpful and kind.”
“I’ll add a photo later. If you don’t know, HF is a discount tool & workman’s supply. If you physically work and haven’t been here you need to go. I’ve always been the guy who won’t buy off brand tools, they won’t last, they aren’t designed for daily use, etc. but as I grow older I grow wiser (TBD) I bought a demo hammer and a dry cut tile saw here for a job probably 10-12 years ago. I recall the price difference was $180 here and across the street at Lowe’s for a Makita demo hammer alone was $400, the dry saw I saw the other day for $150. Both tools I bought are Chicago Tool brand, and both still work today. I buy all my disposables here, sandpaper, polishing stones, discs and compounds, as well as all of my storage snd organizing stuff. If you don’t GM have socket caddies from HF - a buck a piece - you’re spending too much. And if I’m looking to add a tool to my collection I look here first instead of last. Store is always clean, the ladies at the registers are cute and there is plenty of parking close to the door.”

“I've been meaning to tell of my experience with Alexis at Do it Best, Fort Wayne. What an amazing experience and I admit I was prepared to need an older gentleman to assist me. This adorable young goth girl, how much could she know?She hooked me up with the right grit sandpaper,showed me how to attach it to the ancient sander I had just bought at a secondhand store, Powered off the crusty screws like a strongman, while we talked platform shoes and Barbie movie. I will not go to another do it yourself place, I've found my spirit animal!Everyone was quite nice actually, but my girl taught me a lesson.This boomer thinks she's the bomb!”

“Amazing staff! Ask any question and they know exactly which aisle! I was often guided to the location when I wasn't totally sure of the item I needed. They were incredibly helpful with great suggestions! The store is so well set up and fully stocked and the prices are great!”
“Sometimes you have to slow down to hurry up when it comes to taking care of a problem. This place is my go-to when I get stuck. It's a hardware store you expect to find in a nostalgic film about a small town and big dreams. There is usually only one man working, so you have to be patient to receive the one-on-one attention. He works with you to really figure out your problem and really spends the time figuring out what your next move should be, just don't go picking through the bolts in the back! That's his job; oops. There are assortments of hard-to-finds and he even keeps odd things around for special customers with special wants, like a specific tool that one customer prefers over those that sell well. This place is special, in the best way possible. Take your time, slow down, and enjoy browsing this eclectic haven for odds and ends, gardening equipment, project mastery, seeds and bulbs, birdseed, nuts, bolts, & screws, key cutting, plumbing, electrical, and anything else home that you may need to survive a project from h*ll.”

“I would like to say that you have an employee named Steve. I have shopped at your store for the past several years, and each time I have needed help, I have looked for his help. He has helped me each time, even though he might be busy! I am a Vietnam veteran, and he is no spring chicken either, however, you might go to other businesses with the younger generation, and they are too busy with their cell phones or don't want to help an older person for one reason or another. I am here to tell you this young man Steve has brought customer service back to life, Thank you, Steve! I am a retired State Commissioner for the State of Indiana, and I have seen a lot of individuals who work in Customer Service, but Mr. Steve is the exception, somehow you need to acknowledge him, in my opinion. “Was here to purchase a wheelbarrow tub. The store was immaculate, with big spaces and lots of product filling their shelves. Already known as a hardware discount store little did I know the wide range of variety of goods from some food staples to lite clothing to choose from. The checkout process is a little confusing but so far that's the only criticism.”
“I LOVE both donating and shopping at the FW Restore. I have an empty box in my garage and every time I am finished with something that could be sold there I put it in the box and when it’s full I drive right up under the convenient canopy and someone comes out to get my donation, regardless of the weather. I regularly shop at the store also and have found some of the most useful and unusual things there. My church does an annual fish and tenderloin fry and 100% of the proceeds goes to Habitat for Humanity. Such a good cause and an amazing organization”
“As overwhelmed as I was trying to locate a KA-90 anode rod today and finding out this store is the only place to purchase one in the entire city... once I finally found my answers, I was very pleased with how helpful the associates were. They were incredibly busy with business and residential orders this Friday afternoon, but still were lighthearted, patient, and more than willing to answer any questions I had to ask. I would recommend checking them out if you're in the market for something. I felt as comfortable as I could be.”

“Parking lot is massive, so you won't have any trouble parking your long AF truck or trailer.Despite what other said here, customer service is top notch here. What you radiate is what you will attract. I'm working on a big home project, which required A LOT of woodcutting. I found the prices for wood here were cheaper than Menards. Shout out to Turner for helping us cut 2x4s, 1x5s, plywoods and soooo much more. He really took the time to help us cut pieces - a literal Angel. Found everything I needed here and would recommend this location.”

I shopped around for a great price - one that I found at Oak Tree - and got so much more. They basically shipped my item within a few hours; it was at my door within 3 days. They included a kind personalized note, a notepad and pencil with my order. Definitely went above and beyond with a personal touch and I'd recommend them 10/10 times.”
