I just want to reach out and tell everyone how truly amazing and special the people who work in this store are! my daddy collapsed in the store on February 23, 2023. Everyone in there stepped up to help him and even stay by his side, make sure he had all his belongings and call my mother. He was alone in the store when it happened and we live an hour away and they stepped up and supported him the way family would. This is why you shop local, because of people who truly care about their customers!

I always try and support local businesses. However, I ran into a situation today that will keep me from shopping at Connolly's going forward. I bought a toilet handle and other items at the Connolly store located on Wells Street. Unfortunately the handle was the wrong color for my toilet. So I tried to return the item to the Connolly store located on Maplecrest near my house. I was informed rudely by the young lady that that this location would not take the item back even though both stores are Connolly's. The reason being that although each store has the same ownership, they do not carry the same inventory. Since Maplecrest did not carry the toilet handle, I would need to drive across town to the Wells Street location to return the item. I asked to speak to the Manager and he told me the same thing. That is the way the Owners want return to happen. It is the responsibility of the customer to return an item to the correct Connolly store. I say this is POOR Customer service and will never shop there again.

This is usually the first place I go when I need something to fix a problem around the house. I get in and out quickly and they usually have what I need. Most times I'm greeted as soon as I walk in and someone will walk me to the place in the store where they have what I want. It's not like the big places where you have to look high and low to find someone and then they tell you that it's not their department. I sincerely appreciate the effort they put forth at Do It Best!

Great local place, polite cashier, and helpful staff. Good, if selection-limited, alternative to bigger chain stores. Where it comes up short in depth it makes up for in broad variety.

The two staff members in the store at the time were very friendly and willing to help. That being said neither of them knew anything about common hardware items. I could give specific examples. They were extremely under stocked in very common items. Some of the items might actually be there but the staff had no idea about them. I needed a few hardware items and this trip was a total waste of time I will not return.
