I appreciated the customer service people aspect of the transaction, but was disappointed in the car prep. The car was not detailed or in showroom prep. It had water spots and dust under the hood and lower car body. Looked like it went from previous owner to me. The cabin filter and cold air filter were dirty, and interior had an odor.
I will be getting professionally detailed soon.

The girl who helped my spouse and I out (also any employee we came into contact with) was super kind, respectful, and patient. I liked how it felt like everyone at the Fort Wayne location felt like a team instead of a catty car dealership. The process of selling a car though Carmax was super quick and hassle free (honestly was not my expectation). They honored the quote they gave us online after giving us a few days to decide if we could get a better deal. Took them only a few minutes to look over the car and take a few pictures. Will definitely be recommending Carmax to anyone who will listen, beyond blown away by the quality of customer service. The woman who helped us out explained the process step by step to us as well, so we were on the same page about everything. Will definitely be buying a new car through Carmax now!

Everyone is so warm and welcoming. Not a skeezy environment like some big-name car dealerships. Ryan was super helpful and trustworthy throughout the entire process. Couldn’t have asked for a better car-buying experience. ? CarMax overall seems like a really good company.

Asked lots of questions, for which they answered all of them. Did not feel high pressure, and let us take the car for a 24 hour over the weekend test drive, which was most helpful.

Just sold our car here on Saturday. We worked with Danielle, she was nice and friendly and the process was seamless. Less than an hour from when we walked in until we walked out with a check. Their offer was better than anywhere else, as well. Definitely recommend.

I like CarMax, they have good customer service, my car is having issues and they told me to go tomorrow and get a loaner car, I am so happy right now, 12 months from now I am going to buy another car from CarMax because they are the best. Thank you so much CarMax for your great service.??

Overall, the experience was Great. The personnel was friendly and assisted in making my car purchasing experience comfortable and affordable. Make sure to double check any small problems with the vehicle. I brought mine to the Glencoe Service center, which is close to Job. They were able to fix my tire pressure sensor, rear brakes, and other issues because it was before the 90-day period.Even provided me with a smooth and spotless loaner car. I would be trading in my Jeep Patriot for something else if I didn't already adore it! Thank you, Car Max, I needed this to carry on with my amazing life adventure! :)

So far so good! Everyone at the store was nice and friendly. Answered every question I had. Had the car I wanted prepped and ready. Drove 3.5 hours to visit this dealer and I would do it all over again.

First time getting a car from a dealer. Issues at every single turn. First their system "deleted my original offer which means they had to run my credit again and they did... 7 more times. Tharnks for that. I get a car with a higher interest rate because the system wouldnt accept my proof of income.
Had the car for ONE day before they had to take it back in due to severe rotor rust (sorry if that isn't the right saying for that) and wheel bearing issue and that's AFTER they said the car was inspected using "the 125 point inspection".
Fast forward to TWO 1/2 WEEKS later they gave me the car back but now the car randomly turns off and the uconnect screen freezes and even stays on when when car is off!
Oh let's not forget the mislabeled features (missing features I bought car for) that they offered money off the car (but said it would be sooo much paperwork and i shouldnt go that route) then said we will give you free gas and detail her all nice and pretty (we spoke at length about this and it was NOT an either or situation) but then took back the detailing next conversation and said I could get that IF I took less gas. What? If you really cared after everything I went through, wouldn't a detail be a grand gesture and make you look good??
Now they want me to take it back in and get loner or sell it back and have to go through all this again to find something appropriate. I spoke with the family attorney and we are letting her handle this with BBB while I take my car in to get it looked at my reputable people. Big headache...Yay me
UPDATE: Another issue caused the car to go back and nd now I have only seen the car for 3 days out of the six weeks I have owned it.
*note : John (manager) and Brian (service) are angels and the two stars are for them alone. They walked me through everything and made me feel like family.

Logan and Cameron made this the best experience for me. They handled what could have been a very hard issue with humor and grace. The entire experience was a lot of fun, and who would think buying a car was fun. They were very honest and upfront with everything and held Carmax to the the highest of standards when the issue arose. I will be back for sure when its time, but if you are unsure of using this dealership, don't be! They are amazing and the entire crew truly cares and makes you feel comfortable. My daughter had a blast, and she had been dreading going for days! Thanks for the cookies too! PS. Jonathan was ok too! Lol!

Don't do business with CarMax. Compare their prices with other dealers. They will not give you an appropriate amount for your trade. Do not sell them your car. They will not give you a fair offer. Pay attention to the prices of their cars. They are always several thousand dollars more than, practically all of the dealerships around them. Customer service over the phone and in person is not polite. They do not care about their customers. Without even looking at your car. They'll give you an offer lower than anyone in the area. Then act rude and condescending. It was easy to find a more respectful buyer for my vehicle. Buyer Beware.
