On Sunday morning, July 2012 I stopped at my local BP at the corner of Rudisill and Calhoun for a coffee for mom and some air to fill her tire so she could go get it repaired (it got a screw in it Saturday). BP never lost electric, and most others in the area, like myself, were now without power for over 40 hours due to a summer storm (in 90 degree + heat). I had a small 2 gallon air compressor that needed to be plugged in for 1 minute so I could fill her flat. I offered to pay the same as the air pump or any fee they requested, but they refused. I hope they remember Kharma. I later filled her gas tank with our BP card and I drive 2 miles to use another BP. They will never get MY business again. Mike's Carwash on Calhoun was kind enough to plug it in at no charge. BP gas stations advertised after the Gulf disaster that they were locally owned and not to blame them, but I guess we know who the real Hometown Heroes are. Thank You Mike's Carwash!!!
