Every time I visit the Georgetown branch I am greeted by name and made to feel important and appreciated. That's why I prefer to come inside instead of the drive-up. I also like the ATM when I need quick cash.

Thank jessica for this review. She not only snickered at my situation on the phone but also said there was nothing she could do to help. I got someone else to do it though no thanks to jessica on state. Long time customer. My money and issues were just a joke to the girl

I’m actually not sure which branch the app dialed into for me. I spoke with Savanna.I gave my name and told her the problem. She didn’t look up my account. I told her we received a paper check until the auto deposit takes affect for payroll. I mobile deposited it about 4:45pm. This is a payroll check and it is needed, when will it be available? She said that it would be the next business day.I said I read that deposits made before close of business were available same day but it wasn’t showing available. She said yes it will be available same day if they get to it. (Changing her original response) I said thank you Savanna.Irritated. Not a good 1st impression for this brand new account at 1st Source.Admittedly, my bar is set pretty high because I’m a consultant in the customer care industry. I think anyone that depends on access to their income would be irritated. I didn’t bother to let Savanna know I was underwhelmed by the fact that she seemed only interested in doing exactly as much as was necessary. She wasn’t willing to make a single extra step. After mentioning this was a payroll check that was needed (that was her indication to alert her to go the extra mile to try to help me) she did nothing else. Maybe she could have alerted the department that “should get to it before close” as they were literally about to close as I was talking to her? Maybe there was something otherwise she could do, at the least showing some indication that she understood this was important would have been nice.Not everyone strives for world class customer service but a little more than sounding nice when answering the phone would be nice.Unsure if we will change our larger payroll direct deposit for our main income to this bank as we had planned or open my business account here as usually an employee’s CS skills are reflective of the general attitude within their working environment.I love to see the smaller guy succeed as they tend to give back to their community more than the big guys. I would recommend and encourage an employee and customer engagement program. Most customers never complain before leaving and surprising many employees don’t complain either. Happy employees equals happy customers. It’s a win win.Lastly, they went home without making my deposit available same day, or even part of it. It was denied because it didn’t have the mobile deposit notation. Even if Savanna wasn’t willing to give that dept a heads up to push it through for me, had she at least bothered to look up my account she could have told me it was rejected and to resubmit it before the deadline.I did call back and spoke to Val who didn’t hesitate to pull up my acct to see what she could do to help me. She said the fraud sept closes at 5. So heads up to anyone doing mobile deposit, close of business day time doesn’t matter, it must be deposited early enough for them to view and approve it before that dept closes.Val was very friendly, helpful and empathetic.I will continue to update my rating as things progress. Really hoping it was just a rough start.

This is a small Indiana bank. I am told it is the best bank in the state. However when one goes you can definitely tell from the service that it is a small town bank.

Falsely Accusing. A customer is a very good way to lose business and customers.
