Great place to get all your wine and liquor needs, store was fully stocked with a wide selection of all spirits. Staff were friendly and quick to checkout.

Because of the online reviews, we had set this store, High Spirits in Evansville, as a waypoint on our trip crosscountry. They did have a good selection and exactly what I was looking for, at a good price. My wife and I struck up a conversation with one of the sales people (the receipt indicates his name was Mark), who offered us a whiskey tasting, good stuff, but not what we were looking for. He rang up the order and boxed it for us. On the way out, we found a few more bottles and bought them as well. Then we ate lunch in their parking lot, before continuing our trip.
This is where things go south. That night, 300 miles away, I opened the box and looked at the receipt. We were charged ($54.99+9% tax) for one of the bottles on the tasting, and no bottle to show for it. An honest mistake, or were we the “mark”? Either way, learn from my mistake and check your receipt and the box before you leave the store.

I always make a point to visit this liquor store when I'm in town from Owensboro. They have a great bourbon selection with competitive prices and super friendly employees. You can really tell that they actually care about helping you find what you're looking for and that isn't always the case.
