I went in for a nail trim, they talked me into other things over the phone that I did not need- a heart worm test is apparently needed to get a preventative which is ridiculous and just greedy. we didn’t even get the nail trim done because apparently she was “biting” but i’ve never had any issues with nail trims before. i ended up getting charged $180 just to be told that they can’t finish the nail trim today and that she is healthy, I COULD HAVE TOLD YOU SHES HEALTHY. i am very annoyed and disappointed with this place. i will not be going back here again and i do not recommend them.

The team went above and beyond when I was given the news that my cat needed a procedure that was not a financial option for me right now. They were caring, informative, and sensitive to my situation. When I was facing the alternative of having to put my pet down, they went out of their way to call other clinics about the procedure needed. They may not have done the procedure themselves, but because ofthem, I was able to get my cat to a clinic to get the procedure and now he gets to come home today.

I would give zero stars! I got a confirmation from text yesterday about my appointment for today, which I responded yes. I get a call at 7:30am today saying that I have to reschedule because the Vet is out sick. I understand things happen, but I'll be glad to take my money elsewhere!

My dog got sick over the holiday weekend. We couldn’t get into a single vet in Henderson. They were able to see him and did their best to help me. They even gave him some medication for free that I couldn’t afford because of the holidays. They were there when I needed them and were the nicest people who went above and beyond.

Went here because NO other vets were accepting new clients when I adopted our two cats from the shelter. I have never been to any vet where there is a charge for an office visit for EACH animal coming in at the same time. I was floored when they told me that the office call, checkup, and shots for my two 12 week old kittens would be over $600!I tried finding another vet before this years visit, but again, no one would take them. So I went back here again. Both cats went in for shots, a dental, and a bath. In the end, Cat 1 got shots and a bath, but no dental. Cat two got no shots, no bath, and no dental. Instead, they put her on antibiotics for an eye infection and two other meds for what amounted to over active nerves in her skin. Had to bring her back a week later for a checkup that turned into X-rays.In the end, I was out almost $1300 and still had one cat with no shots and no bath, and neither cat had a dental ?.Both cats are 100% indoor cats, so from now on I think they will just skip the annual visits. If I am forced to go here because no other vets will take new patients, then they just won’t go to the vet unless it is an emergency.

This was our first visit. The entire team was very nice and knowledgeable, and the clinic was very clean. Rocky did very well. Anytime he gets to go in the car he's a happy boy!

This is the worst place ever. We foster for It Takes a Village and so we have to take their animals there for their shots and etc. The people at Eastside Animal Hospital are rude, will not allow you to go back with your pets and are completely hateful. Everytime we have a scheduled appointment, they will jump others in front of It Takes a Village patients. I do not and will not ever take my pets here and wish It Takes a Village would go elsewhere.

I love this staff. Sarah is an angel, and Dr. Simms is probably my favorite vet I’ve worked with. The staff here genuinely cares and wants to help. They will work with you. Although our kitty crossed the rainbow bridge despite our best efforts to manage his condition, we know that while he was at ESAH he was well-loved and cared for.I appreciate you all for your gracious care.

The care for the animals is purely perforative with zero compassion for patients after they receive payment. We moved out of state and never received updates on when our cat was due for care, juggling a lot it was totally on us to maintain his records but life happens. He is on a medicine that has serious side effects when abruptly stopped and the team refused even a single refill unless we drove 8 hours to see them in person. We were loyal patients for 5 years. Missing doses of this medicine can be fatal for our cat and dangerous for members of our household. Incredibly disappointed in the lack of care, understanding and human decency by the entire team at EHS.

Tried to charge me $450 for an annual cat check up. My cat gets nervous at the vet and last year, they didn’t discuss any sedation methods at all. This time, after the poor Vet tech tried his hardest, the vet finally gave me some options. When asked about chewing behavior, instead of giving me any helpful advice, the vet told me that I must have encouraged this behavior. Not sure how you encourage a cat to bite, but I just wanted some advice. Vet seems apathetic but the rest of the staff is wonderful. DefinitelyOverpriced. Village East charges half the price

Charged us almost 600 dollars for blood work and to turn the light off in the room and shine a light in our dogs eyes to confirm she was going blind from a sudden neurological issue that came up yesterday morning. They then proceeded to hospitalize her and not give her any fluids or do absolutely anything. They said they where waiting on a return call from a neurologist. Then an hour before they closed we called back and they basically said to take our dog home in excruciating pain. They said the neurologist was no longer in the office. No telling how long they knew that she was gone and they weren’t equip to deal with this. We had to drive her to Louisville to a 24 hour vet and she screamed the whole way. Could not imagine if we had to take care of her at home. Then the other vet was able to make the call that Eastside was to afraid to make. She had to be put down. But thanks to east side her misery had to last all day and they did not give her anything for pain or any fluids when she could not even lift her head up to drink. I also can’t help but wonder if east side would have referred us somewhere else immediately that there’s something that we could have done. Not to mention at pick up one of the techs came out carrying her with her head unsupported flopping around like she was already dead. I am in shock with the treatment of our sweet 10 month old innocent baby at this place. The hospital in Louisville was also horrified by what they heard. I would never take any animal to this place.

Thank you to the wonderful staff of East Side Animal Hospital for helping us catch our dog Bailey when he got loose from our home off of busy Morgan Ave. They were so wonderful helping us catch him and avoid what could have been a terrible outcome. The entire staff helped us retrieve him. We are so grateful for such caring folks. They really care about the well-being of animals.

Had a visit with my foster kitten Toodeloo earlier this week. The staff is always very friendly and easy to work with. It’s a tough field to be in at the best of times and a lot of people don’t realize there is a national shortage of veterinarians. I particularly enjoy talking with Dr. Lautner as he always makes you feel “heard” and does a great job explaining things.

They took my daughter's cat in immediately, and treated him. In a couple of weeks, we'll make an appointment for a bath and a nail trim. Nice folks!

Our pup gets so nervous going to the vet, but the team here was great at comforting her during her exam and treatment. Dr. Lautner took his time with us making sure to explain everything clearly, and make sure all my questions were answered. I really enjoy the automated text reminders about her medication and appointment schedule too. My only worry was the 8 days between when I initially called and their first available appointment, but the staff can't exactly make more hours in a day. What they did do was offer great service once we made it in.
