I hired Belmont Moving to move me from NYC to Ashville, NC. The salesman was patient and friendly, a great sales pitch!Once they got my deposit, they were not so responsive.It was an absolute nightmare from pickup to delivery.The movers charged an extra $700 even though I had taken less than I had initially put in the contract. The delivery arrived a week later than promised. I endured hotel costs, etc.Belmont Movers will promise you the world, and it's a scam!!!!I wish I had looked at these reviews before hiring them.I will never use Belmont Moving or any broker, for that matter.

Worst company and experience ever!Seems that nearly all the real reviews say the same thing and have similar experiences. The final cost was 4x what I was quoted. The subcontractor, Takoma movers, didn't provide me a copy of ANY of the paperwork, didn't adhere to their own policies, and wouldn't tell me where my items were nor when they might be delievered. People at both companies wouldn't return calls, texts, or emails. Delivery was made after I filed a police report and then it was delivered at 9 p.m. in the dark. It took me 3.5 weeks of arguing to get them to provide me with a receipt, which in the end was a photo of a bill with "paid in full, zero balance remaining" handwritten. They acted like I was insane for wanting a receipt at all, which by the way is standard operating procedure for businesses around the world. All of my items were not delievered. Many items were missing, including an entire Temperpedic bed (worth about $7,000.00). And of course, there is no information about how to make a claim for missing (or stolen) items and no one at either company has returned my attempts at contacting them.This is a scam and a bait and switch operation.I am filing complaints with the Attorney Generals Office in NM, CO, WA, NY, and FL. I hope others will do the same. All the stories are so similar that this must be their standard way of operating and they should be stopped.

DO NOT USE!!! Pay attention to these bad reviews. This company is incredibly dishonest, misleading and basically a den of thieves. Only giving a 1 star because that is the lowest possible rating. I would give less if I could. What a nightmare!!!!

Beware this a broker not real movers! My big mistake was believing the salesman when he quoted me $2200 for my move. The additional charges were an additional $2700! I was totally scammed. Beware!

Absolutely stay away from this company. They broker for actual moving companies who complain about their screw ups as well. Whether on purpose or stupidity, they are constantly quoting thousands of dollars less then you actually end up paying on moving day. I’m glad they “claim” their conversations are recorded because they need to be sued using them. Horrible! Just look at their review responses. That will tell you all you need to know about their customer service. Scam and thieves. They say they aren’t related to the Florida company yet the website directs you right to the Florida location when you try and make contact?!

Like all the other reviews here, this place is a scam!! Would only allow me to receive my things if I paid them a .03% fee on my debit card. I offered to wire them the money 3 days before delivery. Told me it would take a week for a wire transfer.

Received a call confirming my move and then they canceled on me the day I was supposed to be moving. Weren't willing to help with other options. Awful company. Missing my first day of work

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. They will give you a good bid, you pay the deposit and when the subcontracted company comes to pick up your items, the load now is bigger than the estimate they gave you. ALOT HIGHER!!! I have so many complaints. COMMUNICTION. My move was scheduled to be picked up on the 15th. No one showed up, when I called they told me it was scheduled for the 16th. I have to take ANOTHER day off work now. On the 16th another no show. This was a Friday so the man actually driving the truck contacted me and told me he could not pick my items up until Monday. Guess what happened on Monday. NO SHOW. So when they finally showed up, that is when they hit you with the extra charges. I had no choice but to pay. The deposit had already been put down. I was told I would have my items as soon as possible because of the delay. Well the day came and passed. I called a week later because I wanted to see just how long it would take them to get in touch with me. Now I am told another week. I was also told by Kristian to email my complaint and they would work on some type of compensation. You see I moved this exact same load last year. It has not been touched. It went straight into storage. I used Mission Moving. The cost was half the same distance. Many of my boxes were crushed. Items broken. Just a bad experience all the way around.

I was quoted $3600 for my cross country move for which I provided the exact number of standard size moving boxes and measurement of the few furniture items. Once the moving company came they charged an additional $1600 and told me that my only option was to pay it or have the items taken off the truck and that I would forfeit the $1330 in deposits I had already paid. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. The are bait and switch scam artists that have been reported to the Better Business Bureau. The "Senior Moving Specialist", Jay White who quoted my move no longer has a reachable phone.

Just here to say how sorry I am to see another company posing as you. Not just any company, a terrible unscrupulous one! We just had a terrible experience with Belmont Moving and Sales in Florida!, or Belmont Moving and Storage 33409 on Google. I hope you sue them! My heart goes out to you, Belmont Moving Corp in Indiana
