I really have had a bad experience with an older woman with white hair who works there: always very bad face, very bad treatment, zero kindness, etc. The first time he helped me I thought it was that specific day, but I realized that it is like that always and with everyone. You cannot have a person with such a bad attitude serving the public. Terrible!!

Id just about rather drive up to Michigan and use a post office up there. You’ll probably make it back home quicker and you’ll get to avoid snarky rude comments from the old lady working the counter. As if the long line of customers isn’t her fault and not her problem. Ask a question and get giggled at condescendingly. Wonderful government services…

I get the email notification that my package was delivered to my mailbox and immediately go to check and it’s not there. Nowhere to be found. This happened TWICE in one week with two different packages.

Much better Post Office then the Goshen location. Elkhart office is much more receptive to pre-labeled packages and home based business drop offs. Goshen was very unprofessional regarding pre-labeled packages.

I had to edit the address on an undeliverable package but no one ever answered the phone for me to do so. I don't live in Elkhart but had a packaged delivered to someone who does. So, I figured they would just return it to sender. Nope!! I get a notification that the packaged was delivered,. To where? I dont know since I was never able to talk to someone in order to change the address. I have called multiple times with no answer.

They're not trying their best. Internet often down, lack of effort, don't answer the phone to deal with questions or issues so you have to visit the physical location. Should just close this location down and consolidate somewhere else. I have to pay for package intercept at the post office because drivers keep marking packages as undeliverable. Incredibly long delays on simple packages. Wish we could take the thousands of dollars going to this monstrous failure and give it to them homeless people that live outside. Even if they spent it all on crack it would be a better use of tax dollars.

I have a lost piece of CERTIFIED MAIL that the Elkhart post office was last in possession of and I am unable to get anyone to answer the phone to help me. I don't understand how they can lose a CERTIFIED PIECE OF MAIL when each location and person it comes in contact with is supposed to be documented the whole time!

Tried calling several times to report the substitute mailman who just delivered to our business, so I can inform them that he is a complete hot head and not welcomed back on our property. The driver had stopped short of our driveway, appearing to let my husband out, while he was trying to pull in. (Our mailbox is not on the main road, so our original mailman will pull in the drive and pull up to it.) After making a scene, the driver then came into our store demanding to know who was in the van because they "pulled out in front of him". He then went on to admit to cussing my husband out and flipping him off. As I was trying to talk with him to let him know the person he was referring to is the owner of the property, he turned around and stormed out. I was taken back first when he opened my door because he didn't have a uniform on, dressed in very casual all black street clothes, and seemed very confrontational, not what I would expect out of a mailman. Flipping someone off and cussing them out while representing the United States Post Office is beyond disrespectful, and then to bring your rant into my place of business is completely unacceptable. Now I'm trying to attempt to contact the Elkhart Post Office to report that I do not what this driver to come back to my office/property again, but they will not answer the phone. Great customer service Elkhart Post Office, do better!

I wouldn't even give this place 1 star. Twice in the past month my packages have been in Elkhart and for some reason the person with a GPA of 1.5 gets to work there so my mail gets sent to Warsaw and ROCHESTER.. are you kidding me? Why are you allowing people who can't read to work there?

The staff at the downtown branch have always been helpful and friendly.
