My vehicle is a 2009 Grand Caravan. At 150K miles its ABS control module had an internal problem (Code C2200.). A new module from Dodge dealer costs $850. Plus another $165 to “program/flash/pair” with my own VIN. So I gambled on a used (scrap) module on Ebay. One dealer gave only 50% chance of success (still costing the $165.) Another dealer said reprogramming can’t be done on a USED module. False - they just wanted to sell me a new one! I turned to D.J. at North Side - who have a full array of scan tools. After some effort, they succeeded in pairing to my VIN, and charged me only $120. So it CAN be done! If you have a similar Caravan/Town & Country ABS problem, North Side is the place! DJ was and is absolutely amazing. A1 customer service and the prices weren’t bad either. If your car is in trouble DJ is the one to take it too. My new place to come for my car needs for sure.

Dishonest isn't a strong enough word. I'm a USAF veteran and current government logistics contractor. I was working in the Elkhart Indiana area when I needed a fuel pump replaced on my POV. Because of the nature of my work, I travel a lot, Every couple years or so, i need a new fuel pump because my truck sits for months. I spot this place across the street from Walmart, so I go in and talk with Brett about getting my truck dropped off for a fuel pump. I also explained to him that I would be headed to California and possibly out of the country for a while for work, and I wanted to make sure that it wouldn't be a problem. He said no. I get my truck dropped off, a few days later, Brett calls and says that the fuel pump is bad, and he needed my authorization to order a new one because he didn't have one on the shelf. I didn't think much of it at that time, but in hindsight, a mechanic shop not having a generic fuel pump for a GMC vehicle seemed a little odd. I ok the repair. As I mentioned, I have to have this fuel pump replaced every couple years or so so you can imagine my shock when I returned back to the country to several voice-mails from them demanding almost $1500 and threatening to seize my vehicle for non payment. I called and spoke with Dan. When asked how is it possible that a fuel pump replacement costs almost $1500, he tells me that along with the fuel pump, they conveniently found several other things that needed repair and took it upon themselves to, without my authorization, fix those items. He again demands $1400+, or I can prepare to lose my truck. Apparently, this scam is 100% legal in Indiana as I have been unable to find an attorney to assist me. Imagine having years of service and dedication to protecting the freedoms and liberties of citizens in this country, only to have the very citizens I fought to protect, turn around, and treat me in this way. Absolutely deplorable !!!!!!

DJ at the front desk is great and explains things super thoroughly and doesn't talk down to you. They are not afraid to tell you if you don't absolutely need to spend money on something. My visit ended up being cheaper than they had originally told me, and my new brakes are working great. I will always come back to them!!

The guys here are great. Some shops you will feel like an idiot because you don't know as much about cars as they do, but north side has never made me feel that way. Thankfully both times I have had to visit them recently the problem was much smaller, and quicker to fix than believed. The costs seems reasonable as both problems were under $50 and took less than 1 hrs to complete. I am very glad we had a friend recommend them.

After a terrible visit to the local Toyota dealer and being pretty much irritated with there diagnosis and lack of the correct repair i felt it time to find another set of eyes. Looking at local searches they appeared and reviews were very impressive. Long story short - after spending $750 without a fix at Toyota and then quoted another $2000. I am very happy to say after $900 they fixed the issue and repaired the Toyota dealers damage. After getting the truck home it would not start and sent a truck over, repared it and did not charge for the tow. A totally/coincidental issue that had nothing to do with the original repair. Customer for life and i will tell everyone.

Appreciate this team. They took care of my heater core on my truck without any issues & took the time to explain additional issues that were present. My truck is back to normal & I'll definitely be returning to this location if another issue arises.

We stopped on a cross country trip with a warning light on. They were so friendly and quick to help. They looked over the car and luckily it was nothing! Then they topped off our fluids to make sure the rest of the trip went smoothly. Super nice!!

Popped in as soon as they opened @ 8 am. Super Friendly, got our repairs done in less than 1.5 hours, and we were able to get back on the road! Didn't charge out-of-towners an arm and a leg either!10 out of 10. Would highly recommend!

Had an issue with my car making a loud screeching sound and I found North Side Service Center when I did quick web search for a shop. I called and DJ said stop by and he will check it out. Despite being short staffed he worked my vehicle into the shop right away and was able to diagnose the issue quickly. He got me in and out in less than an hour. Could not have more more kind or helpful to an out of towner. Greatly appreciate him - we could use more people like him in the world!
