Always randomly closed with a sign taped to the door. The reasons always change but the fact remains they seem to always be closed.

Pulled up at 8:13pm on a Wednesday and the male cashier with the big pineapple ponytail had the doors locked. With a (1) customer inside while other potential customers pulled up and were told the same thing and left. Store hours say 9pm... and there were no signs stating early closing.

Doors locked at 830pm with multiple cars in the lot. Guess they can decide when they’ve had enough for one day.

This place is a complete disaster. Aisles are loaded with racks of inventory not to mention the shelves are empty and the place is filthy. They did all this remodeling for what? Also if you need to find anyone that works there, good luck. They are either in the front closet listening to "music" or they are hiding in the back. Why are they sitting around when there's loaded racks in the aisles? This place needs new owners. For your own safety, shop somewhere else.

Any reviews of this location prior to the Fall 2023 are about a different staff and managers. What's going on now is unconscionable. The store is a mess. Shelves sit empty for weeks at a time. Inventory is still wrapped and boxed four feet high. An elderly woman struggled to push her cart through the aisles and I heard her ask twice if anyone was there when she got to the checkout. I've been shopping at this store for 15 years, and the things I get on a regular basis, including certain popsicles and nail products, have not been in stock for weeks. I now get them on my way home from work in another town. For the first time ever, I walked out empty handed because they did not have a single thing I came in for on the shelves. I was so embarrassed when I overheard a very kind man talking on the phone to someone saying "they don't seem to have any, but I don't see anyone to ask. I looked, and there aren't any plastic pitchers either. Maybe we can stop in the next town." I'm sure he was impressed with the little town of Dyer after leaving that disaster zone. I came in for a bottle of ammonia. They didn't have any. The frozen section was packed full of sealed boxes that had been shoved in wherever they could fit - pizza in the ice cream section, popsicles with the frozen dinners. I wanted a box, but I forget to bring my box cutter, so . . . The laundry soap? Nothing on the shelves but a couple bottles of Purex; products fallen over and on the floor. There was one guy working that I've seen before, I'll call him silent Sam, who pretends he's not an employee so no one will bug him. When you do, he mumbles. Who can blame him? This location has never been great, simply because the owners, district or regional managers, etc., are the retail version of a slumlord. They abuse their employees by making them work alone to unpack tons of inventory while running back and forth to ring customers. They put in three self checkout registers to get more floor work out of their employees (and customers), but the store gets messier and lower stocked every time I go there. At least in the past, a shift manager was around also, but now - there's just one (this time, very slow, unconcerned) employee working to put out a months' worth of inventory. Dyer deserves better.

What's with this store constantly being close during business hours? No signs posted on the door or anything either.

Showed up at 8:35PM on a Thursday. Employee standing in the doorway stating they are closed. Google hours posted online, open until 9PM. Not a happy customer. Please update hours for the summer.

They are a horrible company to work for! They have replaced all good workers and are constantly closed! I've worked there since 2008 under Pam who was a great boss! If you want an organized store where customers are first, get her back in there. Till then , remodel all you wish, but those people don't understand customer service and how important it is to put that freight out!shame on you Dollar General!
