Very thorough and took the time to explain everything to us. Wonderful facility with friendly, professional staff! So thankful we found him. Worth the drive!!!!!”
“We are pleased we recently changed Vets. We like Dr Peacock and he made suggestions that worked on our dog Blue. New ideas and meds have been successful treating Blue's allergies. Dr. explained clearly the options and we agreed to the treatment.
The staff is friendly, helpful and gets all the information regarding our pets problems.
We are very confident with our choice of Alexandria Animal Hospital.”
“Kind, genuine and gentle people. My cat has never been so calm after a vet visit. She usually hides under the bed afterwards, but she is currently out in the living room and sleeping in the sun. Easy to work with, allows you to comfort your pet while receiving difficult shots, and are very knowledgeable. Absolutely pleased with this vet!”

“Long and emotional update: This place is always worth the drive. We've been back a number of times since the original post. Seabeck remembered my little road kitty, and is always super excited to see his progress; whether good notes or good memory, both make a good doctor! Not as exciting, we found a one week old kitten outside in the rain. He was doing great, but when he wasn't, they had an appointment made for an hour later. We showed up 30mins before the appointment, and they took him back immediately. I'm not sure what strings were or weren't pulled, but I'm eternally grateful for them. They fought hard for him, and comforted us after he was gone. Little brings more comfort than to actually hear them doing everything they could. She asked what we wanted to do, but didn't ask too many questions (thank god). I didn't get any names unfortunately, but someone was so kind and kept apologizing, recognizing us from a recent appointment. One was a planned euthanasia, one was an emergency appointment. The funeral home they partner with gives a beautiful package when you pick up your pet, or they'll bury the ashes in a garden.
Original: First time we came here, I brought in a shelter cat for his free visit. A very kind staff member recognized him from when he was getting neutered and shots! She showed me pictures with him as a baby. Then, we go in yesterday for a kitten found in the road, and Dr. Seabeck and the other staff members took great care of this baby. They listened to my concerns, wrote everything down, and followed up on them. Dr. Seabeck was very honest in our options while still being very empathetic and gentle. We made a follow up appointment, received estimates with a full itemized list, and left feeling encouraged.”
“The Doctors and staff show so much compassion. Dr.Smih.has taken care of my cats for the duration of their lives and Dr.Hancock really knows the feelings we have for our cats.”
“This place is great. Been bringing our dogs there since 2001. They offer regular vet medicine, holistic, to chiropractic. The care our dogs get is first rate.”

5030 S Scatterfield Rd, Anderson“Staff is absolutely phenomenal. Initially, we intended to take our exotic pets here, as they were the closest vet that would take them. However, after we were told by our primary vet at a different practice that she was "too busy to provide the same level of care" for my GSD who had lymphoma, Devonshire was my saving grace. They took her as a patient and went above and beyond to provide the most compassionate care, all the way through her last days. I truly cannot recommend Devonshire enough and will never take my animals anywhere else.”

“Switched from another local Vet to South Anderson VC. I could not be more pleased by the warm welcome and love my family and my fur-babies have received by all the staff.”
“Amazing vet! Saved my babies life ❤️ one of the only places and doctor I trust. The place I recommend to everyone! He and the staff truly care about the life of the animals. Very kind and attentive. Thank you all for being so wonderful!”
“Dr Smiley is so kind, compassionate and knowledgeable. He listened and was there when we needed him. ALL of the nurses and office staff are also so kind and involved. The office is very clean and welcoming.”

Receptionist were so kind and caring, Sami helped relieve a lot of the worries I had about my pup. Drs were very involved and answered all my questions in a timely manner. Dr. Avila did an amazing job at removing my poor dogs drain from his wound, and assured me of the recovery process. They even clipped my boys nails while he was sedated. I cannot thank them enough! So glad I trusted them with my baby, and you should too!”

First time was years ago my Jack Russell Terrier tried to drag my African Gray parrot through the cage and succeeded in chewing her foot almost off . I was seen by Dr.Hess and as she's finishing up the amputation , she reminded me that the dog was doing what she was bred to do . Both the bird and the dog lived many more years ! More recently, my 2yr old cat was having issues and after being told it was an ear infection from another vet , she declined rapidly on a weekend . I called and they said bring her in . As we arrived we were shown in to a room and as I went to get her out of the carrier, she screamed then went limp . I went to the door and said I think she just passed away and it was instant a swarm of people to try to help . The vet came back in in a few minutes, confirming what I already knew , and spoke with us for about 20 min giving us his opinion of what it could have been ( not an ear inf ) They brought her back to us in a nice little burial bag and my husband took her to the car I went to the desk to pay . The lady told there would be no charge ! And they sent me a sympathy card and flowers ! How sweet !”
“Great for when you need care NOW. (Not 24 hours anymore) But still very fast when scheduling is not a possibility for your pet's issue. Vets and vet techs very nice and helpful.”
“I love Dr. Smiley and all the staff at Devonshire! Very friendly and professional. My family has been taking our pets here ever since I was young and we love it. Although it can be expensive at times. I think it's worth it. They provide good, quality care for your fur babies.”
“We have taken 2 pets to Country Critters. The first was our cat with a tumor in his eye, the staff went above and beyond to find any solution. It was a terminal case in the end, however the staff gave us multiple options, long term and short term solutions. They did absolutely everything they could with kindness, care and compassion. All while being mindful and open about cost, offering different options with realistic pricing.
The second was our new pup, at a year old he's have trouble with his tummy. They worked us in for an emergency visit, again showing so much compassion. My pup was shy and nervous which is out of character for him. The Doctor and her assistant were soft and patient with him every step of the way. Again offering solutions, giving long term and short term goals. All while being financially open and honest of long term cost.
I would recommend Country Critters to anyone with a sick or healthy pet. If you are looking for a Vet and Staff that genuinely care for your baby as much as you do. Look no further.”
