Waiting an hour for cold food it wasnt even edible. Service sucked. Came in for a nice breakfast and ended up leaving hungry. No apology from anyone, very disappointing no respect from anyone. Still charged full price for food. Will never be back.

Huge portions, good flavor and guaranteed to be full just of a sandwich. Fries are crispy little crinkled bites. Service is friendly, walk in and find a seat. Check out the local memorabilia and read a newspaper clipping about the area. Extra charming spot off the beaten path in southern Indiana. Lots of desert options, none homemade but probably tastier than some folks may make.

We felt bad for the lone server who seemed to be trying to manage everything by himself. The woman who greeted us seemed like she was doing us a favor by taking our drink order. It took almost two hours from waiting to order to getting our food, which the food was okay at best. Maybe just an off day, but the owners or manages should ensure a better experience than what we received or close their doors until they get their act together.

What a great place to eat!Everything our group ordered was awesome. Chicken strips, tenderloin, fish-all delicious. The chef salad was also yummy and beautifully presented. Great service from Rachel!

Prices way to high, a sandwich is 11.99, and that doesn't include fries. You are going to lose customers, need to come down on prices. The food is great just can't afford to eat there.

Fluffiest pancakes ever. Omelets had a creamy cheese inside that was amazing. Small menu but things are done right. Friendly people and friendly place.

Their food was amazing. The chicken fried steak dinner made like mama's. The amount of food is more than it cost. Hubby had a Stromboli and it's the best he's had in a very long time. He got a fork for the little that fell out. Going back on Wednesday for pizza. Thank you for a great meal. ** we came back for the pizza and omg this is the best pizza around. Been so long for a tasty pizza that was enough for 3 and not paying two pizza prices. Ty ty ty

Took my dad there for lunch today (Sunday) at 1:58 we walked in the door. Did not know they closed at 2:00 on Sunday. They said that’s ok sit down we will be glad to fix you lunch. Nobody even acting like they wanted to get out of there. I don’t mind driving 12 miles out my way to support a local owned place like this.

Had breakfast at the newly open Salvin General Store. Nice atmosphere and great service. Lots of old Selvin memorabilia.We ordered pancakes with orange juice and omelette with hash browns. The pancakes were ok, but not special. Some blueberries would have been nice with the simple maple syrop.The hashbrowns were cold. We noticed that the cook makes them ahead of time and serves them cold to the customers. That is not good.A little more effort to make the food special is needed at this place. We will not return.

I've eaten here three times now, had the biscuits and gravy each time. The first time food arrived after 30 minutes; second time, 45 minutes; today it took 1 hr 20 minutes. Waitress told me one cook had never done breakfast before, and one cook didn't show for work! This place might be suffering from its own popularity, as it was more crowded each time I arrived.The food is tasty and very well-priced, and the waitresses served with smiles though they were running their collective tails off. I know how hard it is to find good kitchen staff and I hope this improves. Definitely worth a visit, but get there early!

Really great place to stop and grab a bite to eat. Staff are really nice and helpful. It does get busy at times. This is one of my favorite small business places to eat. Highly recommend you give them a try.

Very new and historic establishment celebrating the history of Selvin, Indiana and looking forward to Selvin's future. Great food, great service and nice atmosphere! I visited as an out of towner from Northwest Indiana. I will definitely be going back! Food is delicious and priced fairly! Give them a try, you won't regret it!

Great service! Great Food! Great Atmosphere! Being able to have a local resturaunt in the neighborhood is very nice.
Parking: There is a huge rock paved parking lot in the front of the general store for up to around 30+ cars.
Wheelchair accessibility: The entrance is easy for almost any person who needs assistance while walking.

Came in for a visit to my hometown and I was absolutely stunned at how good this place looks now. The food and the staff is amazing!
