“Love the fresh produce and wine selection here. And the seasonal aisle with all the gadgets. Bought a mini air compressor to fill pool inflatables 20 yrs ago. Set me back $20. It's still going strong and doing its job. Also, deflates.”

“Well, I like Stracks at this location and admittedly the prices on some of the groceries are a little high but this is a store in a small community nearby and it’s convenient… I understand that the store is going through a transition and remodeling and relocating products is going on, I’m not concerned about it because it’s going to be fine once completed…. They have very good meat, like steaks, chops, roasts and a nice deli counter…. The store is not that big but they carry the essentials and it’s the closest grocery store for me… The people working the deli counter are getting better because this was a problem with employees ignoring customers but service is improving… Overall I am satisfied with Stracks and glad they have the store and I’m sure it will continue to get better with the improvements…”

“St Patrick's Day.
Went to Aldi and they were out of corned beef. The lady cashier who appeared to be a manager called to check if they had any in the back. I was told they were out of them. Packed up and was loading my car when she came out to the parking lot to tell me they had so more. Great customer service!!! Also that same trip I had forgotten Milk. A customer next to me offered me her milk. What a great experience at Aldi...great people”

“Aldi is truly a game-changer! The convenience of having one accessible across the country is fantastic. Every store I've visited is spotless and the staff is always helpful. The prices are unbeatable without sacrificing quality. I even visited one in Italy in May of 2022. Aldi has completely changed the way I grocery shop!”

“Happened to be visiting someone in Crown Point. This was the closest Aldi to Crown Point on our way back to Chicago. The Spring 2024 apparel line had dropped earlier in the week and I was concerned that all the merchandise would be gone in the city. Begged my husband to give me 5 minutes at this location. He was amazed at all the crap I came out with and slightly disgusted. Lol. Anyhoo Aldi makes my grocery shopping so easy so...I wanna rep them for jokes. Aldi haul included: hat, two tumblers (love them), joggers, windbreaker, socks, key chain (holds a quarter for carts) and fanny pack. Oh plus I got my dog a Aldi hoodie. Only spent $65 bucks. Not bad at all. I regret not getting the Aldi shoes Anyway this store was super clean, plenty of parking. They had self check-out and regular checkout. Additionally plenty of boxes available to put your items in. Staff was friendly and the locals were slightly tickled by all the Aldi crap that I swooped up.”

“ALDI Food Store of Lowell, IN located on Commercial Ave is welcomed in our community. It is well organized, clean & always amply stocked the times I have visited. The parking lot is huge and walking distance relatively near the door. The carts are located in front of the store and sometimes a kind customer will offer you their own. I first noticed the wide aisles and neatly stocked fruits & vegetables followed by a good selection of fresh breads. As I walked up and down I compared prices to other food chains I visit. Name brands grocery items are comparable such as laundry soaps, paper products & cola’s etc., although Aldi products (Clancy’s etc. ) can’t be beat price wise. I actually prefer them! This is a great store to stock up on items you usually use daily to monthly. They have a good dairy section, cheeses & dips plenty, meats & cakes for parties, store wines & beers. I love the aisle that holds toys, household decor items, candles & seasonal items. It’s always a treasure trove & fun shop! All in all I love ALDI’S for the savings, healthy food choices & interesting selections they offer. I recommend ALDI’S for your next stop ..”

“They have everything I ever need for all my Spanish recipes. The man behind the meat counter is always so sweet to my family and I. The older woman who hangs around the front often (might be the owner) is such a sweetheart too. Love this place for our grocery needs.”

“This Meijer on US30 is a great store. It’s always clean, displays are stocked overall most items I shop for are available. I don’t like when they suddenly discontinue selling items that I frequently buy with no warning.”

“I love the groceries at meijer. It is my home away from home and I love shopping at all of the Meijer stores in Lake and Cook County. However, tonight on August 4th, 2024 at about 11:15 p.m., I was in the self checkout at the Highland Indiana store and a sale price did not come up which I realized after I had already paid unfortunately. So, I started to talk to the foreign lady about it who was working in the self-scan area. She speaks with an accent. Well, she does NOT understand personal space or pick up on social cues. I was trying to discuss the receipt and she was standing right on top of me, literally 2 or 3 inches away. I would back up to get away from her to try to have a conversation at more of a distance and she would come right up close to me again. So I backed away again to stand at more of a distance and she came right back up super close to me again. She did this four times and I realized either she is doing this on purpose because she notices it's making me uncomfortable or she literally does not understand social cues at all and she certainly does not respect personal space. It was really frustrating and aggravating. Apparently she thinks everybody wants to stand super close to her, so close that you're almost touching skin. It's simply not the case. That was probably the most annoying encounter I've had in the last 4 years. Really hoping she learns the importance of respecting personal space and understanding that she does not have to stand right on top of everybody, shoulder to shoulder, in order to have a conversation. Hoping also someday she learns to pick up on social cues if she really doesn't get it.”
