Stopped there today to grab 1 item and I’m extremely upset at what I witnessed. Was only in there a few minutes and overheard a manager on the walkie talkie yelling at other employees. It was so bad the cashier turned her walkie talkie off so people wouldn’t hear. Then walking out a cashier started loudly and rudely yelling at her bag boy because he wasn’t bagging correctly. The behavior was absolutely unacceptable in both incidents. There clearly needs to be some training on how to appropriately and effectively communicate between employees. Do better Jewel your employees deserve respect regardless of their position.

No issues with the quality of the items purchased, but, ran in for one thing and in a matter of 5 minutes witnessed disrespect from Managers to staff (loudly in front of so many customers) and cashier to bagger (also very loud in front of customers). Clearly an environment of disrespect is trickling down in this store. I would strongly advise some leadership training across the board. Was very off-putting to see anyone being talked to in that manner.

A thank you to Michelle the manager for making things right over a discrepancy in the weekly ad. She could have said too bad for me but didn’t. A rare exception these days, customer satisfaction over profit.

Just got done shopping here. The smaller bags of Doritos had a 125 year anniversary 2 for $5 deal (incredible deal). Apparently, in order to get the deal, you are required to do the hokey-pokey backwards and “clip” an online coupon which I would have known if I read the 3 pt font print on the 2 for 5 tag. The lady at self checkout would not budge on this requirement so I asked her to remove them and grabbed the larger bags that were $3.99 each if you bought two. Checked everything out and realized that I was missing a $2.99 Monster Energy Drink that was in the bag with the Doritos I refused. So, I paid for an item I didn’t get.
Maybe make your “sales” requirements more understandable next time and provide better customer service because not only am I frustrated and feel like my time was wasted, now I feel like I was fleeced for an extra $3. I know she didn’t do it on purpose, but I am NO mood to go back in there and argue with this lady again.
I stop in here at-least once every three weeks on my way to a get together because it’s on the way. Stracks is right by my house. I might just go there for now on. It’s not like Jewel-Osco’s prices are really all that competitive anyway.

In an attempt to see what the checkout cost would be with a promo code, I accidentally placed an online order early. I called within a minute to cancel the order and spoke with a young man about the situation and he said he’d cancel it right away. An hour passes and I get a call asking where I am to pick up my order, and I tell the very agitated man that I spoke to someone else and canceled my order already. He again says “so you’re not coming to pick this up?” And when I say no, hangs up. Lo and behold, he too, did not go on to cancel my order. It is now 4 days past when I made the order and it is still not canceled. Instead, my card was charged over $90 and I’m having to wait another 7-14 business days to get my money back.

Everyone is ALWAYS very friendly. The ladies at self check out actually like their jobs. Unlike a lot of stores that get mad for asking for help. The ladies gave me a paper bag for my French bread.

I used to order my groceries for drive up and I was constantly receiving expired food. I haven’t been back to this store since March because of this, but I decided to stop in and grab a few things yesterday. I got home and noticed that yet again, I bought an expired item. They clearly don’t check the shelves for expired food nor do they check to make sure it’s not expired before putting it in a bag and sending you home with it when doing drive up orders.

Enjoyed my shopping experience. Store very clean, and vegetables were very nice as well as the fruit. All products were available.
