What an absolute gem of a bookstore! From the moment I walked into Viewpoint Books, I felt so welcomed—not just me, but my two dogs as well! The staff went above and beyond, offering them treats and making our visit extra special. The selection is fantastic, the atmosphere is cozy and inviting, and the customer service is top-notch. I also put a book on hold for my dad and can’t wait to come back. If you love books, friendly faces, and supporting local businesses, this is the place to be. Shop local and experience the magic of this incredible independent bookstore!

Alright, let’s be real here. Hobby Lobby in Columbus is basically *the* place for anyone who has ever fantasized about turning their house into a Pinterest board. From the moment you step inside, you’re surrounded by everything that screams "I could be a DIY queen if only I didn’t have to pay rent." The aisles are stocked with gorgeous decorations, cute knick-knacks, and more seasonal décor than you could ever justify buying. But, *here’s the catch*: prices. Oh, the prices.
Look, we all know Hobby Lobby is a bit of a splurge. If you come in thinking you’re going to grab a couple of cute frames or a throw pillow, you're probably leaving with a cart full of items that, at full price, would’ve required you to sell an organ to afford. But here's the thing: even though the prices are a little on the “Are you sure?” side, you know deep down that you're getting quality stuff. The *cool stuff*. The stuff that you know you can’t find anywhere else, and even though it’s a little expensive, you still kind of *have to* buy it. Like that quirky wall art that will make everyone who enters your home say, “Where’d you get this?!” And you can proudly say, “Hobby Lobby, obviously.”
Now, I’m not here to lie to you. The discounts are nice, and I’ve *definitely* scored some deals—usually when they’ve marked things down by 75% (but not without a tiny chip, a weird scratch, or some other minor flaw that makes you *feel* like you’ve really earned it). I’ve walked out with items that were too good to resist, thinking, “Hey, it’s practically free now!” But, let’s be honest—when I walk in, I’m always wondering if I’m really getting the best deal or if I’m just *pretending* I’m not secretly crying inside when I hit the register.
But that’s the thing. I love this place. Sure, it's a little *pricey*, but damn if they don’t have some of the best stuff to make your house feel like an HGTV episode. The aisles are lined with gorgeous home décor, seasonal decorations that make you wish it was Christmas year-round, and random little treasures you didn’t even know you needed but now *can’t live without*. I mean, who *doesn’t* need that distressed wood sign that says “Gather” above your dining room table? No one, that’s who.
And let's talk about the atmosphere for a sec. The staff? Super friendly. They’re always happy to help, and they’re cool about you wandering around like you have no idea what you’re doing (which, let’s be real, we all do). You’ll be in there for an hour, and they won’t judge you for taking your sweet time choosing between two identical-looking frames—because, hey, it’s *your* home, and this is important stuff.
In conclusion, Hobby Lobby in Columbus is a bit of a splurge. Sure, it’s *slightly* out of my price range most of the time, but I can’t help it. It’s got the best home décor, and I’ll keep coming back to drool over what I can’t afford. But that’s okay—because one day, when I win the lottery (or maybe just get a better-paying job), I’ll be back and I’ll buy *everything*.
5 stars. Would give 6 stars if they could find a way to make me feel less guilty about that $40 throw pillow I definitely didn’t need.
